From an old Western NY estate. This is an old circa 1900 Boleadora/ Bola, an old south American/ Argentinian throwing weapon. The animal hide balls are heavy and most likely filled with stones, the rope is in very good condition for its age. The balls are approx 2 1/2" to 2 3/4" wide, the three rope lengths vary around 4 ft in length.

Very Rare Antique Native South American Tribal Animal Hide Canoe Boat. Incredibly unusual model of a canoe. Made from dyed animal hide. The whole boat and the figures(everything) is made from hand cut and moulded animal hide. Dyed in all different kinds of colours. The men themselves wear black and red outfits with gold pigment painted on their chests. There are 6 men in total. At the head of the boat is a monkey. Holding what looks like a banana and a ball? There is a multicoloured canopy in the middle of the boat with a large leaf wrapped around it. This must be incredibly rare because I can't find anything similar online after hours of looking. I would say that it dates from circa 1900? It is very dusty and there are some small losses and nibbles throughout. One of the paddles is missing. One paddle has lost it's end. One of the ... moreseats is missing. There are some spare bits(see last photograph) Overall for such a fragile thing. It is in a good strong condition. It leans slightly to one side. Whether this is intentional or not I don't know, but it certainly adds to the movement of the piece, it makes it seem like it is in the water. Hopefully some of you out there will know something of its origin. I'm sorry I can't be more exact! 42cm long x 14cm tall

Antique South American (?) two prong Carved Horn with face masks and symbols
We are offering for sale something that is clearly very old but we don't know exactly what it is.It seems to be carved from some kind of horn. Both prongs detach at the middle by removing a wooden peg. The bottom half of each is hollow. The object shows signs of great age with its nice patina.It weighs 166 grams(5 oz) It is 7" high at its tallest point. The diameter at the widest point is 3.5" The overall condition is very good for its obvious age and the pieces is of obvious historical importance. Antique Jaguar Mask Guatemalan South American Wall Hanging Wood Carving Folk Art
Amazing wood carving in the form of a jaguar's head. Jaguar with open mouth showing bloody teeth. Hand painted in great detail. I believe this is carved from a lightweight wood. The head measures 8 1/4 inches from front to back. 6 1/2 inches from side to side, and is about 6 1/2 inches tall. Measurements were taken with head sitting flat on surface. The opening in the back doesn't seem large enough for the mask to be worn. I do not know the origin nor the age of the mask. More pictures available upon request. It's in great vintage condition.

The bombilla most likely had a leather tip to suck up the mate and act as a filter, unless in this example the bombilla was inverted so that the knop became the filter. Antique Hand Carved South American Mahogeny Water Bucket w/Braided Handles
I took this old bucket to The Antiques Road Show in KC hoping it was REALLY old and valuable. And also wanted some information about the piece. After some confering they said it was hand carved out some kind of South American mahogeny, probably made between 1900-1920. He valued it between $95-120 dollars,so it wasn't as old or valuable as I was thinking/hoping,but still a very cool old piece. It was carved from one large piece of wood and the handles were braided from some kind of plant. There are two large cracks in the wood on the top and a small crack near the bottom(see pic's) but what a great decorative piece. It measures 9 1/2"T x 9 3/4"W from handle to handle. Only after colonization by the Spanish and contact with missionaries did the Kuna start to transfer their traditional geometric designs on fabric, first by painting directly on the fabric and later by using the technique of reverse application. It is not known for certain when this technique was first used. It is assumed[by whom? that the youngest molas are between 150 and 170 years old. As an inspiration for their designs, the Kuna first used the geometrical patterns which have been used for body painting before. In the past 50 years, they also started to depict realistic and abstract designs of flowers, sea animals and birds. Depending on the tradition of each island, Kuna women begin with the crafting of molas either after they reach puberty, some even at a much younger age. The wood is quite light. This 18.75" long mask weighs only 582 grams or 1.2 lbs. It has old original green paint and what looks like red paint that has nice age wear and are"dry" colors. The piece has soiling and the colors are hard to see. We have had quite a hrad time with identifying this piece. It was bought in the 1960's at an antique store in Calgary. It is quite old and the photos of the back and bottom tell it all. It was hewn from a solid log and has wonderful age"burn" ... moreboth on the back and the green paint. Has a great head dress. The bottom edge has age wear and old dry rot Not signed that I can see. Not sure of the origin of this piece. Could be West Coast Native. Mexican? or South American. An Antique South American/African Solid bronze Idol/God figure
This antique Solid bronze idol figure I am not certain of its age as I am no expert on these things. I believe the idol is South American or Possibly African in origins but again not certain, the idol is roughly cast and has loads of patina with age and would think very old, the figure I think depicts a pregnant woman or pot bellied man with a headdress as seen in the photos, the figure measures 3.75 inches high and in good condition just tarnished with age

Antique South American Poncho. Old, Wearable
Found in a box at an estate sale. I received no information on this weaving at time of purchase. It is obviously an old piece, hand woven of wool. My limited research indicates that it is probably Bolivian. It is about 45 x 60 when laid out flat. Completely reversible. Both sides look the same. Condition is very good. It is reasonably clean. No funny smells. There are some holes, or breaks in the weaving, the largest(see photo) is about 1 inch long. Other smaller holes and snags, one small area with white spots(photo) Wearable. Or use as a nice display piece.
