authentic pre Colombian 3” head dress ornament/ pendant / amulet with conical drilled holes. This was an estate sale find from a collage professor who ... moredid a lot of traveling in south america and has passed away. I've had this in my curio cabinet for many years now and is the only pre columian item I have so it is time to pass it along to a true collector of these types of items and let it get placed in a nice collection or museum. It looks to have been in the ground for a very long time as you can see on the reverse has mineral deposits in some of the drilled holes . Three of the holes are drilled right through as if you can run something through it and have it hang . I'm not exactly sure what this is so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I recently purchased an absolutely beautiful group of very early pre Colombian pottery and southwest Native American pottery figures. These were acquired ... morein 1985 from renowned collector Norman Brookings and then Garcia Hoyt! This beautiful dual monkey handled pottery vase is in excellent condition and stands approximately 5” tall and 4” wide. Great old monkey vase ! The old receipt is not included as I will photograph the next pottery item with it. The first piece of this collection I own was just sold recently for just under $400 . No reserve on any of my items and I guarantee they are old and authentic! Satisfaction is fully guaranteed. Thank you for looking .

Here is a Mayan eccentric or exotic from the Yucatan Peninsula of South America. These items were thought to have been used as an offering to the underworld ... moregods asking their premission to enter their underworld domain(a cave) The Maya could then ask a blessing or maybe advice on some delima they were facing. This one appears to be of a snake which held high ranking in many parts of thier culture. A very rare item that comes from my personal frame of eccentrics. It's 3 1/4 inch long and 1 in. wide x 1/4 in thk. at max. made of a light white or tan Chalcedony or Colha chert patinated with white over the ages. A really nice piece worthy of anyones collection! Pre Colombian Bowl or Jar Orangeware Slip Glaze Amazing Provenance
This auction features what I believe is an antique Pre-Colombian or Colombian bowl or jar. In excellent condition in my opinion. I acquired this piece from an estate in the Palm Springs area, and at one point it was used by Interior Designer Jeffery Jurasky& Associates, who placed the jar in an award winning home owned by the Oscar Mayer family in Mission Hills Country Club. This award winning home was designed by Holden and Johnson Architects. I spoke with jeffery and he told me that this bowl was purchased 14 years ago. While he was traveling abroad, and roughly paid around $200.00 for this amazing item. Please examine all photos carefully and email me with any questions that you might have before bidding to ensure you complete satisfaction on this item. Good luck and happy bidding. Pre-Colombian Mayan Cerimonial Cacao Vessel (400-800 AD)
This Cacao Vessel is decorated with 4 relief images of Itzamna and his alter ego the Serpent. Above his head is an eye like image of him as a bird. The striated foundation of the vessel is made as a representation of the raw Cacao pod. Itzamna is seen pouring the last drops of Cacao from a vessel on to his extended curled tongue. The serpent is likely wrapped around a Cacao tree. Itzamna- The founder of the Maya culture' God of maize. Cacao, healing, writing, drawing, calendars. His attributes are the snake and the mussel. The founder of the Maya culture, He brought his people maize and cacao and taught them writing, healing, and the use of calendars. As the bringer of culture he became the state-god of the Mayan empire. As the moon-god he rules over the night. Itzamna is also called'God D' and bears the title of'lord of knowledge' ... moreHe is a son of Hunab Ku with Ixchel he is the father of the Bacabs. In Mayan religion, Itzamna is usually treated as the supreme god. He is second only to Hunab Ku, but he is less abstract than Hunab Ku and more representations of him can be found in the archaeological record His attributes are the snake and the mussel, and he himself is depicted as an old man with a flower headdress. Sometimes he is shown as a giant bird. The vessel was likely shattered in antiquity after the Cacao Ceremony, the likes of which often included blood letting and sacrifices. One side of the vessel appears to have sat in moisture, and some of the relief figures are faded. The repair work was done prior to acquisition. 8 x"6.

BEADART-AUSTRIA Ancient Pre-colombian Sodalite Beeads - jade and shell necklace
A new design by Beadart-Austria This is an extraordinary new creation around four ancient Pre-Colombian sodalite beads. I have had the chance to find five beads with a reputed antique dealer. Four of which are incorporated in this necklace. The front is an ancient shell bead, flanked by two carved red jade beads. Gilded Bali sterling silver on each side of the sodalite! Wonderful green jade(no idea if the beads had been color treated) and Bali spacers are strung in the back part. A stunning color mix with ancient and new beads! Length 53 cm. I have one sodalite bead and one shell bead(it is a matching pair) left. One earring in sodalite and one earring with shell might be a suggestion. Please contact me if interested more photos are available on request! Payment: Paypal Worldwide shipping with signed for delivery and tracking Please look ... moreat my other auctions and visit my Ebay s tore. Not all listing have a best offer button but I am always ready to discuss an item. Do not hesitate to contact me. As I have had several cases of unpaid items recently I would lke to point out that. PAYMENT IS TO BE MADE WITHIN 4 DAYS OF AUCTION END! Unpaid item cases will be opened thereafter! Please bear in mind that the majority of the beads and ethnic elements I use are OLD or ANTIQUE. Even ANCIENT! The show wear and age. I usually mention any defaults in my descriptions but I can overlook a minuscule old chip or dent. As this has happened recently and resulted in a severe dispute with the buyer I want to point out again that I do not use NEW material(except if stated) and that ethnic elements, old jewelry parts, etc. might have very minor defaults NOT specially mentioned in the description. I do not accept this as a reason for a return claiming that the item does not correspond to the description. I had to increase shipping charges because. Ebay is now charging a final value fee on shipping charges as well. Austrian postal feels have almost doubled since summer. To make sure that you can use my combined shipping off

Two Pre-Colombian Mayan Artifacts from Mexico, Spindle Whorl Bead & Idol Head
I spent the summer of 1973 in Mexico City. A gentleman I met there had found these on his family farm outside of the city. The spindle whorl bead measures about 1" diameter and about 3/4" tall. It has a nice design carved into the sides. The center hole is still filled with Mexican soil. It appears. The votive idol head measures 2" long by 1" wide. Unfortunately it was broken in half at one time and glued back together, which is more obvious from the rear.
