It's nearing Spring and it's time to do some cleaning which means thinning out some of my beautiful boudoir doll collection. This one is just as I purchased it including tiny to small holes in each layer of the skirts. The right foot is where the damage is. But can't be seen when the dress is down. There's minor water damage as shown in the photo. Her hair is marvelous and fitted out with velvet flowers. She's even wearing a small bracelet on her left hand. The fingernails are done in a pale pink and on her right hand, the little finger ... moreis broken off. Her outfit is quite unique. Especially around the front of the neckline. She's been treated gently over the years. Her neck is a bit soft and leans toward the back, but I kept her on a doll stand near the back of a shelf and she looks perfect where I've placed her. The doll stand doesn't come with the doll. She's 29" tall from feet to the top of the rose in her hair. It's a shame I can only list with 12 photos. Under her skirt is a large, light weight cardboard card sewn into the fabric(so I can't see what all it says) and it's marked EL ES? 15 Vistas. I don't have any idea what this means. I purchased this sometime back and it may have been in the home of a smoker. I can't be sure. I've never collected them for their value. But rather bought the ones I thought were unusual and beautiful. She's ready to ship for free with insurance.

Many small nuchus are carved from light balsa wood with the intention of sale to tourists. But this is a heavy hardwood nuchu with nice carving(hands have fingers) and nice painting and considerable patina from years of handling.
