Collectibles, etc. for over 25 years and although I'm far from being an expert, I do have experience and will do my utmost to provide you with good service and lots of great merchandise. Up for sale is a wonderful old likeness of Mayan King Pacal. I purchased it from a dealer at an antique market who got it from an estate. He said that the people who previously owned it traveled extensively and that it was old, but he did not have any additional information or exact age for this piece. It measures about 4 inches high and he said it is metal, bronze or copper. The inside is hollowed out and you can see some brown dirt like residue near the inside top(see image) It is darkened with some green verdigris and a little white crustation. This two-chambered vessel is 8-1/2" high and depicts an ancestor emerging from his tomb, carrying a deer to sustain or reward his progeny. He is adorned with a complex avian headdress, ear ornaments and striped mantle, all symbols of elite status. The whistle hidden in his hollow head has great tone and is a rare feature on Moche ceramics. Shamans communicated through ancestral mummies, which provided the link between the world of the living and the spirit world. In excellent condition. This pre-Columbian pottery shard or maskette is from the Mayan culture and measures 2 1/4" high x 1 1/2" wide and would have originally been attached to the rim of a Mayan human effigy pot. Dating c.250-900 AD. This example is the finest example I have had over the years of a well executed sculpture of a Mayan with huge nose and body piercings and quite frankly he is one ugly dude! c.250-900 AD ancient pre Columbian pottery MAYAN BOWL w/lug handles
This pre-Columbian pottery vessel is from the Mayan culture and has a diameter of approx. 8" and is 2" high. This example originally had two lug handles with finger depression on each side though this example is missing the one lug handle and has one rim shard missing. Dating c.250-900 AD. This example is the typical"poor mans" version since some Mayan bowls can be quite extravagant in style and workmanship. Condition: one lug handle is missing and the other has a chip; one large rim shard was glued into place and one 1 1/2" section of rim is missing; 5-6 minor rim nicks; overall about 95% intact and a nice example of a Mayan bowl. Colima Dog This is a wonderful Colima figural dog vessel. As found in a local estate and believed to be an ancient piece from Western Mexico, approximately two thousand years old. The dog is fat- or pregnant- with a hollow body in aggressive stance with tail that forms a spout. The dog's eyes and mouth are incised into the clay. Dog effigies such as this were buried in tombs in the belief that dogs were an important guide into the afterlife of the deceased. Both of the dog's ears are chipped; one with minor loss. The other more significantly. Two legs have been re-glued; the repairs are rough and amateur, and the break lines appear to have had some loss and are not well-aligned. The burnished reddish brown exterior is mottled and veined. And the interior is encrusted with mineral sediment. The dog came to me without information on ... moreits history or provenance. PRE COLUMBIAN FRAGMENT HEAD AZTEC MEXICO i purchased this head fragment in Mexico city from a street vender on one of my trips in the 1960's. Locals pick up fragments from fields. Certainly not museum quality but interesting. This figure has spool earrings typical of the Teotihuacan figures and what remains of a headdress. Without the rest it is difficult to tell if it is male or female as I believe both wore earrings. It has a slight pale bluish tinge on spots that I have tried to show in the photos. The fragment is quite pale and Ihave many photographs as the lighting changes features. The broken areas on the headdress show a reddish brown pottery beneath. There is damage to the nose and lips but the face is still nicely detailed. It measures 3 3/4 inches across the face. I have tried to position it every way possible as it is quite ... morethree dimensional. The close up photos are to show as much detail as possible but the features look better when viewed from a normal distance. It will stand by itself on a flat curface but will not be steady and needs a stand. This fragment has not been cleaned.

Antique Fabric Remnant Ancient Peru Pre-Columbian Swatch Inca Ruins Note Frame
Hi. You are bidding on an interesting little swatch of material that is about seven inches by three inches in a frame that is six inches by nine inches. It is an ancient piece of fabric from early Peru. Here is what I can read on the back. First there is a handwritten note that says"Sent by Mabel Zapenas to me Sept. 1963 from Lima. Peru. Then there is a taped typed note on the back from apparently Mabel Zapenas. You can see the old typewriter font. It says"This swatch of material will interest you. It is a piece of cloth from one of the ruins in Peru, perhaps Inca, and is anywhere from 1000 to 2000 years old. Aren't the colors excellent for the age? And the design is interesting, too. There is a lady who does modern designs in nationally woven material based on these old patterns and she does a nice and expensive job. First is a 4” wide by 5” tall hollow back god. There are worn breaks at the top and bottom. The second sculpture is a 3 ½” tall whistle. Half of the headrest is missing, but the rest of the figural whistle is original. The third item in the auction is a darker pottery head with a finely detailed hair style. Measuring 3 ½” in diameter by 3 ¼” tall the small pottery pot is figural with eyes, ears, nose and arms. There is surface roughness and a painted design on the back. The 5 th items is a 3 ¼” all by 2” wide pottery head with a broken bottom. Lastly is the most interesting of the six Pre Columbian Pottery items in the auction. Depicting a Pregnant Woman this tube 3 ¼” tall by 2 ¼” to the top of the belly button. You can’t see it in the photographs but the round and sealed and the opening of the tube goes under the round stomach.
