Or inspired by kuna history, religion, shamanism or daily life and by what surrounds the makers such as nature, birds, animals, etc… and they are highly collectable in the world or textiles and visual arts. We sell them to museums and collectors all over the world. Each of our molas was removed from a blouse after we purchased it and is an original authentic fabric panel. The most authentic. $4.00 Shipping Condition: New Location: Aiken, United States HAND MADE! 16.25 x 14 Three layers This is the first mola of a pair(the other listed separately) which shows the progression of a bird's(child's) ... morelife. In the"old" days. The norm was that the two molas were different but related, as are these two. Now I find that most of the modern molas I see are the same, as identical as possible. The molas are brighter than you see in my photographs. Which are suffering because I am taking them in the house during Miami's summer heat. In this pair. The first mola shows the newly born swan; this mola shows the older swan spreading its wings and ready to leave the nest. Each mola is mirrored. Both molas are alike in that the design shows. On each side, the mother and father swans together but facing opposite, with the small bird resting in the center where their long, graceful necks meet, safe and sound, in Kuna protection mode. Since I don't think this is a physical possibility, I call it a fantasy. The creator of the molas has completed her work with filler items of all kinds. As is required by the Kuna for good molas. You will see Kuna symbols, embroidery in abundance, and creative artistry. I think she wore these molas with pride. I sometimes forget to state that my molas are hand made and what the quality of the stitching is. That is because they are all hand made and the quality of the stitching is always above average. The reason that I was attracted to molas back in the 60s was the stitching. The stories and the designs came later for me. Any questions. Just let me know. I love to combine items to save you money. If you are combining. Please do not pay eBay's invoice. Just tell me when you are ready and I will invoice you when you have completed your purchases. My invoice will have the correct total, including your postage. Thank you for your interest in my auction. If you have the time. Please check out the other items on my page. Thank you. Nancye
