Antique Sarreguimines Cache Pot from Lorraine Circa 1870
Antique Cache Pot from Sarreguimines. France. Classic crest with the"Cross of Lorraine" displayed 13 times around The sides with Crest of Lorraine! Measures 7.5" tall on the separate base. The base is 9" in diameter and the cache pot is 7.25" in diameter at the top. There are three hairlines in the interior(see photos) which are normal for its age and in otherwise excellent condition. Pair Samson Style Large Porcelain Cachepot - Hunting Scene Chinese Export Taste
This is an exquisite pair of cachepots or jardinieres in the Chinese export manner from a prominent 2.500 acre estate outside of Philadelphia. They can also be used as wine coolers since they are very heavy and the walls of each piece are very thick(they stay cool) These are old. Probably 1880's to around 1900, and most probably Samson but are not marked. Each features a pack of hunting dogs running in a field with several large houses in the background. The houses have an Italianate or European feel to them and there are rolling hills in the background. In photo#4, there are seven hills in the upper left of the scene, possibly hinting at the seven hills of Rome. The dogs appear to be hounds and the prior owner raised dogs and horses, so these would have appealed to her"serious" hobbies. The dogs are very similar to dogs on ... moreother Samson porcelains, and the buildings in the background are the same as those in other Samson porcelains. There is an antique Samson bowl on 1stdibs right now that features a hunting scene with dogs that are nearly identical to the dogs on these planters. The workmanship is just amazing with lots of handpainted gilding and fanciful scrolling. They are the hard paste form of porcelain. The colors are still vivid. With greens, reds, tans, persimmon, yellows and gold. There is less than 5% gold loss. Each planter is about 7.25" tall x about 8" long(at the top)x about 7" wide- they are more oval than round. There are no cracks, chips or repairs on either planter. Please review the photos for details. I am totally in love with this pair of cachepots. They would look sensational in the country home. In the Georgetown townhouse, in a New York City apartment on either side of the fireplace, etc. etc. They meld with many types of decor including Chinoiserie, Hollywood Regency, Traditional American, French country, etc. They also would look fantastic with ferns in them to hold back French Doors leading to the terrace. Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a little blast from the past. I believe this is probably vintage 1940's-1960's pottery at it's best. It is stamped"Artistic California 506" on the bottom. I believe this is a Clam Shell design.but the little neighbor boy thinks it is a"bunch of carrots standing in the ground" Cute. But he might actually have a career in art since he seems to have an eye for it- LOL! Most kids would probably not even care or wager a guess. This planter is in mint condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Looking closely I do not see any crazing or missing glaze. I do notice that this burgundy glaze also has flecks of Teal or Green in it, very pretty. If you think you see white spots that might be missing glaze- it's not, it is just ... morelight shine. I did a little research and there was a Southern California company called"Artistic Potteries Company" based in Whittier, California and it produced Art ware, giftware& figurines during the 1940's. Large cache pot jardinere green golds brown majolica cracked chipped
Wrapping a tape measure around the middle measures approx 30" diam across top approx 8 1/2 approx 7 1/2 high. Lots of cracks. Crazing, chips marks. Inside most of green paint gone some stains and dirt was used to house a plant as intended. We put stick on felt to the bottom so won't scratch our table. They peel off easily if u do not want them. Beautiful antique art nouveau planter bowl circa 1901-1907. Semi vitreous porcelain planter made by the East Liverpool Potteries out of Ohio. USA. Planter measures about 12" in length and 7" to highest point. It has a white background, is embossed with scrolls and florals high raised relief on the florals, scalloped top and hand painted with rose and green accents plus gold touches. It is in excellent condition considering the age. No nicks, no chips, no cracks and paint and gold are not worn, there is a tight hairline at the upper edge(see photos, that does go thru to the other side but is well hidden in the raised relief but continues under it. Pair of Large Porcelain Cachepots Planters Hunting Scene Dogs - Chinoiserie
This is a lovely pair of cachepots or jardinieres or planters in the Chinese export manner from a prominent 2.500 acre estate outside of Philadelphia. These cachepots are done in the manner of Samson but are recent reproductions. Probably Cantonese. Each features a pack of hunting dogs running in a field with several large houses in the background. The houses have an Italianate or European feel to them and there are rolling hills in the background. In photo#4, there are seven hills in the upper left of the scene, possibly hinting at the seven hills of Rome. The dogs appear to be hounds and the prior owner raised dogs and horses, so these would have appealed to her"serious" hobbies. These colorful porcelain planters feature lots of fanciful gold scrolling surrounding the charming portrait of the dogs running through the field. The ... morecolors are quite vivid. With greens, reds, tans, persimmon, yellows and gold. There is less than 5% gold loss. Each planter is about 7.25" tall x about 8" long(at the top)x about 7" wide- they are more oval than round. There are no cracks, chips or repairs on either planter. Please review the photos for details. I am totally in love with this pair of cachepots. They would look sensational in the country home. In the Georgetown townhouse, in a New York City apartment on either side of the fireplace, etc. etc. They meld with many types of decor including Chinoiserie, Hollywood Regency, Traditional American, French country, Paris apartment, etc. They also would look fantastic with ferns in them, holding back French Doors leading to the terrace. Large Vintage Planter with Cherubs & Colonial Man and Woman Faces on Handles
Large Vintage Planter with three cherubs/children on one side& Colonial man and woman on the other. There are faces on both handles on the sides. Very different and unique looking planter. White with pink and gold accents, there is a little bit of yellow in some flowers as well as green. This is a heavy planter. On the bottom it looks like cement or old pottery. It may have been attached to some sort of pedestal. There are some areas where there are small flowers in the picture and those are still in really good shape. There are some signs of age/use/wear. There are some chips on the bottom which is why I believe it was attached to something. There are some areas of color/enamel loss/fade, paint chips. This was used mainly for fake flowers so the inside is pretty clean. Approx 8-1/2" in height up to top of face handle, on the side ... moreis approx 6-3/4" in height where the cherub/children are. You are bidding on this beautiful Roseville Brown Pinecone Pedestal and Jardinière. This is a large Roseville twig-handled jardinière in the“Brown Pinecone” pattern. Which was first made in the early 1930s. It was Frank Ferrell's most popular design that he ever created while working at the Roseville Pottery Company. In fact. The company would have had to close it doors if it wasn't for the success of this line. The Pinecone line was considered the most Popular Line ever made at Roseville Pottery and that is still evident today. There are 4 colors that Pinecone was made in and they are Blue. Brown, and Green and Pink. Pink Commands the Highest Price and is rarely seen. Blue Commands the next highest price with Brown not too far behind. These are small and quite normal, not damage. There are 3 sets of numbers stamped in the bottom of this swan. Two of the sets are very distinct and mostly easy to make out. Interestingly, the last number of each set looks to be double stamped. The group of four numbers was originally 7535 with the last 5 being over stamped with the number 6. I think) The set of two numbers originally was seventy something. I can't make out whether the last number is a 6 which was stamped over to a 0, or some other number. The final group of numbers is very faint, almost didn't see them at all. They are impressed in the clay so lightly that I really can't be sure of the exact numerals of which there are

Antique Limoges Vincennes Sevres WATERING CAN Dresden Spray Flowers 1890's
This listing is for a Limoges/ Sevres Watering Can. We sent photos to a china expert in London at the High End Bonhams Auction House to have a look at this Watering Can because it resembled an 18th Century Vincennes watering can which they sold for 79.000 thousand pounds or $129,000 US. They were very kind in that they replied to our enquiry and this is the reply that we received: Thank you for contacting Bonhams and sending a photo of your porcelain vessel. It is hard paste porcelain(you can tell by the glassy look it has in the light) So it cannot be Vincennes or early Sevres, but it seems to be a later imitation of earlier 18 th century porcelain that the Limoges factories made during the end of the 19 th century. As such. we are unable to help you sell it. This is a beautiful piece of porcelain and with this information it is most likely ... morecirca 1890-1899; the lid has chips to the flowers on top and one side(on the inside) lip of the flange that holds the lid in place is missing- there is also a firing crack just at the spout of the can- please see photos. We do believe that. Even if this is a 19th century reproduction, it is quite rare as after extensive research. We could not find any information or examples of a similar watering can anywhere over the internet- other than the one mentioned above. The can measures approximately 6 11/16 inches tall(without the lid) or 7 7/8 inches with the lid with a width of 8 3/4 inches and a weight of 1.9 pounds or 734 grams. The can has the Sevres mark in blue over the glaze( just as it should if this were a genuine 18th century piece) Please see my other items! Antique handformed Planter White and Green heavy
Green& White Handmade bowl or planter from around 1950-1960 or earlier marked with a 59 on the bottom that is fired into the finish. It is heavy for its size and no cracks or chips. Crackle finish on inside of bowl. Bowl dimensions are 7-1/2" widest diameter on outside rim and 6-1/2" on the inside rim. Stands 2-3/4" tall and the base measures 4-3/4" in diameter. Each side of the this is different so you can choose the side you most desire to show off or place it in an area where you see all of the sides.
