The mediterranean style house was constructed in 1911, and still held hundreds of original items, many of which were oriental. This bird figure was at the edge of a fish pond, and had a water feature that made water stream through the narrow slits in the pottery"reeds" around the herons feet and legs. If you look at the close up photo of the base, you can see where this was anchored to the edge of the fish pond with dabs of concrete. The heron is depicted standing among reeds as if in a swamp or a pond. It is a rare and spectacular piece of Chinese pottery. Great decorator piece inside or out. MEASURES: approx. 25" tall and it is approx. 17" at the widest point.from the back to the beak. CONDITION:GOOD+.it has a firing split on the inside. Which BARELY shows on the outside, and this happened during the manufacturing. It is very typical of this type of ware, and pottery collectors realize this.it is NOT damaged. Magnificent Victorian Hand Painted Pottery Jardiniere Great Colors 19th Century
This auction is for a Fabulous Hand Painted Antique Victorian Pottery or Earthenware Jardiniere. With its bold colors of Cinnamon and Cobalt and its heavily Molded Form. This Jardiniere would instantly become the Decorative focal point of any room. I have owned/sold many Jardiniers over the years but this one is among the most beautiful and uniquely designed. Around the pot. There are 6 Cartouches with images of white flowers against a Cobalt Background. The cartouches are separated by highly molded Victorian Floral and Leaf Motif in the color of Cinnamon. There are no makers marks or stamps. Other than a handwritten number on the bottom: 975. By the form and feel and styling. I believe it dates to the early to mid 1800s. It could be French, but I believe it more likely to have been made by one of the number of British Potters from the Burslem ... moreor Staffordshire areas of England. It is in Remarkable Condition. Especially for its age. There are no chips or cracks or hairlines or stains or damage. The colors are Vivid and really POP. There is age appropriate wear of the gold accent paint at the top edges and fine. Even crazing that can be seen only on the off-white inside and the bottom, not on the painted outside. It only adds to the character and authenticity of this Great Find. The Jardiniere measures about 9 1/4 inches tall and is about 8 1/2 inches wide at the mouth. This is a large 19 th century jardinière that was made by Etruria Pottery. It has handles on each side and floral decoration on the front which gives it an art nouveau look. This has deep cobalt coloring on the handles. Center and around the foot. It would make a great centerpiece for a table. The piece is 11 inches tall and 15 inches wide at the handles. It has lots of gilding though some of it has worn off. It is quite heavy, weighing 13 pounds. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. This will be double boxed for shipping. These were made in Staffordshire(England) by Ralph& James Clews between 1820-30. The shape of these is rather striking and very unusual with their angular appearance and I love the floral relief decoration on these! The under trays measure approx. 9-1/2" long(24.3 cm) and 7-1/2" wide(19.2 cm) The baskets measure approx. 10-1/4" long(26 cm. Offered in this sale is a wonderful French art pottery jardiniere that was made by Sarreguemines in the later 1800s. It is marked on the underside of the base with an impressed mark which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. It measures roughly 9" tall x 11" in diameter at its widest and weigh close to seven pounds. The diameter across the top opening is just under 9 1/2" The decoration features gold gilt over swirled bands of cobalt blue and maroon. The condition is very good. Antique 1890 Earthenware Ohio Pottery Purple Lg Cache Planter Pot Victorian Era
Here we have a Vintage 1890's- 1910's Earthenware Factories& Potteries Ohio Pottery Cache Pot. Purchased last year from an elderly couple's estate where there were many antiques and collectibles. This large and Very Unusual Victorian era colored pot measures 8.5" tall x 9.5" in diameter. There aren't any cracks but there are two insignificant chips on the bottom ridge of the pot, as shown in photo. THERE ARE MANY GLARES IN THE PHOTOS Therefore difficult to get any photos without glares. So. For this reason I took many photos. There is gold along the top ridge with some of it being somewhat worn off. There are variations of purples(which are true to color in the photos) and it gradually changes to lighter colors as you move down towards the bottom area of the pot. The darker decorations are sort of a very dark ... morepurple/black with the outer edge of them showing more of a purplish tone and being partially and sporadically outlined in gold. The gold has faded to a light purple in areas. The leaf decorations are just what you see in a pink/purple color matching the lower color tones towards the bottom area of the pot. These too are very faintly lined in possibly a gold or faded gold into a light purple. The handles also have worn off gold on the sides and it looks like the gold areas have turned sort of a purple in color as it has done in other areas. The inside isn't bad for as old as it is. Some stains on the inside bottom that I have not tried to scrub off. With all the intertwined letters on the underside hallmark it was hard to tell one from another. Co. is the only thing that I did know. There is also a stamped and incised"446" I was told by marks4ceramics.com that this is definitely an American pot from the 1890's- 1910 era. I was told that it is either Ohio Pottery or Pioneer Pottery as both worked in the same area using the same raw materials and skilled artisans from the same communities. There is a little hole in her flower. So I believe a single flower can be placed through her flower. You can also place more flowers in the back. Real or fake, or can be used to hold a candle. Her body is matte red clay while her clothing and hair are glazed. Really nice rare piece. Stands at 7 1/2" tall.

Vintage Pink Elephant Planter - Rempel Diamond Pottery Corp - 40's 50's
This is a vintage pink elephant planter. From my research. I have seen this stated as being made by the Rempel Diamond Pottery Corp in the mid 40's and other times stated in the mid 50's. It is in really great shape except for a small chip on the ear and a scraping on the other side. One of the tusks feels a little rough so that could be a scrape as well. Please see the pictures, the planter is in Very Good condition and only minor flaws which are stated. Measures about 7 1/2" long and about 5 1/2" Tall.

Up for auction is what I have identified by the mark on the bottom. Is an Ott& Brewer Etruria Pottery of Trenton, NJ Jardiniere Planter. This jardiniere is in excellent condition. It has a green transferware pattern all the way around with a very intricate floral design. It has embossed bands of leaves and has two embossed marblized bands in a brown shade separating the floral design. It has minor gold wear- nothing distracting. It is clean, with some glaze pops inside. Marked on the bottom Etruria in red over glaze with a 2921 gold decorators mark. It measures 11" handle to handle and stands approximately 8 3/8" tall. Vero old plaster pottery chick sticking head out of egg estate chicken neat look
5 1/2 inches tall. 3 inches diameter, a neat egg with open jagged top with chick sticking head out the side of it, old green base and chick feet are down on the base, very very old and a plaster pottery like substance, but relatively thin material, has a variety of markings on the bottom, an o with line through it, a T and a dot and 3539 and some letters embossed that I cannot make out. The material and the looks of it reminds me of item made in the late 1800's in Central Europe and especially Austria. no chips or cracks or flakes. Could probably be cleaned, but I have not touched it. Fresh from a good old estate auction. Not sure of its use, maybe just to sit around. Postage will be $9.00 by parcel post and we refund excess postage, we do combine shipping. Missouri residents add sales tax.

Pierced open-work lattice-like design, it features applied sunny yellow flowers with orange centers and green leaves. The Planter is heavy and measures 8” tall and 10 ½” inches wide at the top. Antique aged Italian pottery planter. The planter does have periodic small chips in several areas and one hairline through glaze only. but none that take away the overall look or use of the planter. The bottom inside of the planter indicates a pressed mark of TERRE COTTE ITALY. This is a most attractive. Extra large Planter or Jardineer made in England by Bretby with Rd# 215983. It is 10" x 1o" across the top and flares outward at the base to 12" It is in mint condition, Some water staining or rust in the bottom shows it has been used and this can be scoured away. It has molded leaves for decor and is in tints of green, mustard, dark brown and it displays to great advantage. It is quite heavy so will require a large box and sending by large package pricing. Worth every penny spent!
