This very collectable vintage jardiniere is made by"New Leaf" of England. It is a very nice slip cast pot glazed inside and out with a semi transparent honey brown colored glaze. It also has a wet bottom with indications of the three point sager used during firing. This piece of pottery is approximately 6 3/8 inches tall. And 7 5/8 inches in diameter. The McCoy USA mark is on the bottom. And on the bottom of the inside of the bowl is an incised'B. The base color is gray, with violet spatter or drip glaze added to the top portion of the bowl, and gilt trim along the rim and the handle, also accenting the leaf pattern of the pottery where the handle is. There are other bowls out there of similar shape and color, but I didn't see any with the gold trim that this bowl has. This bowl measures approx. 9.5" by 8.5" by 7" It is in very good condition. Just some rubs to the gold trim at the high points and there is a tiny pop to the glaze in one place near the rim, barely noticeable. When I plunk it, it doesn't quite ring, so I looked for a crack, but cannot find one. But still, this is an attractive piece and a great addition to your decor. Good Luck! There is a little hole in her flower. So I believe a single flower can be placed through her flower. You can also place more flowers in the back. Real or fake, or can be used to hold a candle. Her body is matte red clay while her clothing and hair are glazed. Really nice rare piece. Stands at 7 1/2" tall.

Vintage Pink Elephant Planter - Rempel Diamond Pottery Corp - 40's 50's
This is a vintage pink elephant planter. From my research. I have seen this stated as being made by the Rempel Diamond Pottery Corp in the mid 40's and other times stated in the mid 50's. It is in really great shape except for a small chip on the ear and a scraping on the other side. One of the tusks feels a little rough so that could be a scrape as well. Please see the pictures, the planter is in Very Good condition and only minor flaws which are stated. Measures about 7 1/2" long and about 5 1/2" Tall.

Beautiful vintage English pottery jardiniere with a raised design of seashells. Realistically hand painted and glazed. Vintage-maybe antique-I purchased it from an antiques dealer and have owned it for 40 years. The colors are tans. Browns, greys, mossy green, deep rust, deep rose-all natural seashell colors. A beautiful deep cream color inside and out. Each shel design is individually painted under the glaze. The bottom is impressed 4156 and MADE IN ENGLAND. There is also a maker's mark. But I cannot read it. I suspect that it is Victorian, from the era of their fascination with exotic nature-but I cannot say for sure. 6.75" diameter across the top. 4.5" diameter across the base, 5.5" high. It is stamped"Artistic California 506" on the bottom. I believe this is a Clam Shell design.but the little neighbor boy thinks it is a"bunch of carrots standing in the ground" Cute. But he might actually have a career in art since he seems to have an eye for it- LOL! Most kids would probably not even care or wager a guess. This planter is in mint condition, no chips, cracks or repairs. Looking closely I do not see any crazing or missing glaze. I do notice that this burgundy glaze also has flecks of Teal or Green in it, very pretty. If you think you see white spots that might be missing glaze- it's not, it is just ... morelight shine. I did a little research and there was a Southern California company called"Artistic Potteries Company" based in Whittier, California and it produced Art ware, giftware& figurines during the 1940's. This planter is 5 inches tall(to the tallest"carrot top" ha ha) The top opening is 9 3/8 inches long by 3 1/2 inches wide. The base is 4 1/2 inches long by 2 5/8 inches wide. This is a very nice piece from a much simpler time. I guess the bonus is that kids find it intriguing too!
