The base color is gray, with violet spatter or drip glaze added to the top portion of the bowl, and gilt trim along the rim and the handle, also accenting the leaf pattern of the pottery where the handle is. There are other bowls out there of similar shape and color, but I didn't see any with the gold trim that this bowl has. This bowl measures approx. 9.5" by 8.5" by 7" It is in very good condition. Just some rubs to the gold trim at the high points and there is a tiny pop to the glaze in one place near the rim, barely noticeable. When I plunk it, it doesn't quite ring, so I looked for a crack, but cannot find one. But still, this is an attractive piece and a great addition to your decor. Good Luck! High Gloss Gold Finish on the Dragon which is on 2 Sides Gold Trimmed on the Ends and Base! Large heavy Piece: Measures 10" x 8" at the Top. Base is Aprox. 7" X 4 1/2" Art Deco from the 1940's! Note: Last picture shown with a pair of Similar Lamps sold separately see other items! Minor Flaws: Slight Staining inside upper. Couple little spots which look like are original finishing flaws.
