Antique Ceramic Planter Baby Fig Leaf Boat Possibly Biblical Bible Story Moses
Unusual Antique ceramic planter of a baby/ small child(adorned with a bow) holding a fig leaf boat(planter) May be a depiction of the biblical story of baby Moses but I am not completely sure. Planter is glazed with a"blue dip" giving it a blue/white or blue/light gray marble swirl appearance in some areas(most visible in picture of the baby's arm) Planter is 6" x 3" with a 4-1/2" height to top of baby's head and highest point of planter. Planter alone is roughly 4" x 2-1/2" inside. Planter is in excellent condition with no chips. Nicks, cracks or crazing. I have never seen this type of"bluing" and was unable to find any ceramic items that looked even remotely similar. This is a cute. Antique ceramic painted container. It may be a vase, planter, or pot. It depicts two frogs playing instruments, one an accordian and another a bass. For your collection I have found this Reallistic Bear Ceramic Vessel Head. I am not sure of the age but I would consider it to be antique because of the styling of the bear. I am also unsure as to wether there was a lid at one time or not. I don't really think there was a lid. The detail and painting of this piece is really special. Estate sale find has evidently spent many a year gracing a garden. This antique ceramic planter has lovely birds on branches and floral deigns across its surface. It stands 7 1/4 inches tall and measures 8 3/4 inches across its mouth. The base measures 5 1/8 inches across. There is no discernible maker mark. Well used and worn. Lots of crazing, some cracks and fractures of varying lengths and degrees. Some holes in the glazing on the footing, too. See photos for more, or contact sellers.

Very Special Antique Ceramic Puppy Planter with 1950s Style Spaghetti Accents!
If the eyes are the mirrors to our souls. Then this precious puppy is expressing fear of the brown, black and white moth resting on his leg! This little planter is in great shape, showing very little crackling in the original glaze. It is very clean, more likely to have been used for decoration rather than as a planter. This style. With the spaghetti pom-poms on the ears, brows, paws and tail likely dates from the late 1940s to the early 1950s. I only see two breaks in the spaghetti accents and that is on the front inside tail. They are beside each other and are not very significant. The snout is rosy pink with a brown nose and brown dots for whiskers. There aren't any obvious markings on this little cutie as to the maker. This is a beautiful Victorian Jardiniere or Planter made in England around 1870. I purchased this jardiniere in England about 35 years ago. It has a scalloped rim. Gently scalloped sides and a scalloped base. There are pictures of red and pink roses within gold trimmed oval cartouches. The planter has a green color glossy glaze. The interior color is off-white. There is an abundance of gold used in the design. The top rim and base are heavily trimmed with gold. The jardiniere has an 8-3/8 top diameter and stands 8 inches high. It is in good condition; no chips. Cracks, repairs or scratches and very little wear to the gold. The interior has crazing and the exterior has mild crazing that can be seen under magnification. This pre-owned floral vase/pot belonged to my late grandmother and was displayed in my grandmother’s parent’s home during the very early 1900’s. There is a painted‘02’ in the bottom of the vase that may indicate that it was painted in 1902. This item does show some crazing which is not unusual. I do not see any chips. Cracks or repairs. The only minor chip that I can see is on the base and can be viewed in the picture of the vase showing the measurement of the base. The width of this vase is approximately 4½ inches across the base and the 4½ inches across the opening on the top. The widest part of the vase is approximately 6 inches. Antique Large Floral Painted and Parcel Gilt Ceramic Jardiniere Planter(Click to Enlarge) Click to Enlarge) This very large and unusual ceramic bowl from the 19th century is believed to be of French or possibly Russian origin. Features a footed bowl supported by two nymphs, with magnificent parcel-gilt and hand-painted floral decorations, and surmounted by a gilt metal rim of intertwined vines which simply rests upon the rim of the bowl. The pedestal features matching floral decorations and gilded decorations and is raised on six lion paw feet. There are restorations to the base at the center and along one side which is distorted in shape, and to the base of the bowl and at the rim. There are noticeable losses to the gilding throughout. Measures approximately 19" across and 19" tall(48 by 48 cm) There are no hallmarks the the maker ... moreand country of origin are unknown. The ceramic may be porcelain or soft-paste porcelain.
