SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Height: 145 millimeters(5 3/4 inches) Breadth: 79 millimeters(3 1/8 inches) Thickness: 80 millimeters(3 1/4 inches) CONDITION: Very good. No repairs but the majority of glaze is gone. A little wear and a few blemishes consistent with any decorative item which was buried for over one thousand years. A very thick alkaline soil deposition layer. Not flawless, but certainly in a better than average state of preservation– and unrepaired! Stands on its own. DETAIL: A nicely preserved clay statuette so wonderfully characteristic of Tang Dynasty statuary. Sancai. A beautiful maiden sits atop two decorative tasseled pillows, and she is helping Cupid as he is struggling to climb up next to her. Cupid's bow and arrows are on the ground at their feet, and the woman holds one golden arrow in her hand. The figure is a nice large size measuring 8 1/2" tall by 7" wide. And it is in excellent condition aside from arrow has tip chip and a few tiny nicks to flower petals/leaves, very minor. This is a very decorative piece with such great detail. It is unmarked and could be from Germany. I have had it for about 6 years and it was an estate find. The woman is riding on the seat of a carriage that is being pulled by winged leopards. The woman's gown. Leopard wings and the carriage ... moreare studded with tiny golden beads of porcelain. The woman is so fine and delicate. It measures 5.75" tall to the top of the carriage x 10.25" long x about 4" at it's widest. There are a couple of issues with the piece. Her hand that is extended towards the leopards has blue glaze. Same color as the leopard's wings on the tips and underside. IF there is any damage to any of the fingers, the blue indicates it would be a factory flaw. The same with one of the petals on the large lilac flower that is on the side of that carriage. The top most edge of the petal is flat or straight but it does have the same lilac color on the straight edge. It also butts up to a green leaf so this would be a factory flaw. There is one green leaf that is broken and missing. It is on the side of the carriage below the deep orange/red flower. Please see the photos and if you have any questions, please ask. This piece is just under 2 lbs. I am setting the shipping calculator to 4-lbs. I can get this to you safely but I want plenty of extra weight for packing. This Wonderful piece of home decor is 8 inches tall and hand made from red clay with a beautiful multi colored glaze. This Great native girl is carrying a bowl of fruit to market. A small traditional wooden carving of a woman stooping beneath the heavy burden on her back. Seven inches tall. Condition: Slightly damaged. The stooping posture makes the figurine rather too easy to knock over. And there are tiny knocks on the front where it has presumably fallen over. This affects the nose. Chest and one elbow. This auction is for a lovely little bedroom lamp made of chalkware. It is made in the shape of a beautiful woman. It is in surprisingly good condition. She has a little bump on her knee. But it hasn't broken the finish off. You can see down the back of the lamp where the maker scraped the seam off to make it flat. I believe it has a new bulb socket because it is in such good condition, but, it's hard to tell, because this woman took such good care of all of her things. The lampshade is in very good condition considering what it is made of and how old it is. But, it does have a small tear along the edge in one spot. It is made of a stiff crepe paper type material that has a beautiful floral lace design in it. So, it is going to be pretty tough to ship it along with the heavy lamp.
