However for an item that is this old, it’s still in great condition and would look amazing in any home used as a plant vase or utensil holder. This piece has some of the glaze rubbed off as is expected for its age. This is a unique piece because of its lip, most others found are basic jars. These pots were used in France as a refrigeration system to keep meats and dairy cool. You are looking at and hopefully bidding on a most rare large piece of French 19thcentury(1860-1890) majolica-a cache pot/Jardinere and a large one.9" tall with an opening of 8 1/2-but the bulbous body actually goes out to about 11 inches. I've only seen one in mylifetime andit was consderablly smaller than this one. I believe there is one for sale ind the same rare pattern on Ebay at this very time.though smaller. 5-Lilles is an old French porcelain/majolica house-the bottomis marked with impressed with 1309/0 and above that is the well known fives-lilles mark-a great look and not a common one. The colors are phenomenal-the deep greens and varieted tourquoise leaves; browns/tans/Pinks/ all in relief with great care and quality. It is marked on the underside of the base with an impressed mark which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. It measures roughly 9" tall x 11" in diameter at its widest and weigh close to seven pounds. The diameter across the top opening is just under 9 1/2" The decoration features gold gilt over swirled bands of cobalt blue and maroon. The condition is very good. Despite her flaw. she is charming and very tall at just over 21" at her widest she is 7" her urn at the top is just about a 5" outside diameter. heavy at just shy of 10 pounds. she has some green floral putty inside the urn. she is ceramic and colored in creams and golds. her draping ... moreis gold. Beautiful Vintage French Bird & Grapevine Ceramic Footed Cachepot
For your consideration is a beautiful vintage ceramic French footed cachepot. There are two birds perched on the top and side of the pot with two bunches of grapes with the vines. The main portion of the cachepot is white ceramic. The birds are glazed in yellows. Browns, blues and burnt orange. The grapes with vines are glazed in eggplant, yellow, burnt orange and green. There are four feet that make up the pedestal. I have tried to show this cachepot at all angles but I don't believe the photos do justice to the beauty of this cachepot. C. 1955-65 This pretty cache-pot has a large floral plaque on the front of a turquoise body decorated with gilt transfer sprays of leaves and flowers. The plaque is white. Shield-shaped and banded with a gilt-ormolu style transfer frame. The centre is decorated with a large, hand-painted floral spray of roses, daisies and other garden flowers in vivid shades of pink, blue, yellow, burnt orange and green in the foreground with a subtle gray leaf spray in the background. The round pot rim is white and decorated with three ... moregraduated gold stripes: a wide one around the rim. A thinner one in the centre of the white rim and the narrowest one on the extruded band at the base of the rim. The round foot of the pot is also white with an indent at the top and a gold band finishing the bottom. The pot has two gilded cupped ceramic handles on either side beneath the banded rim. The handles are both decorative and useful for moving the pot around. Pullivuyt is a well regarded French ceramic manufacturer and decorator that began production in 1818. Their Paris shop opened in 1847. Their factory was near Limoges and they employed Limoges blanks in some instances including this one. The company continues in operation to the present day and is particularly famous for fine-quality housewares. The markings on the underside are the numbers 5115 and there is a handwritten designation of some kind and then there is what I believe to be a date; 11. 95. The piece stands approximately 8 1/2 inches tall. The diameter of the base is 8 1/4 inches. Lovely French majolica swan planter/ vase dating to the mid Victorian era. Circa 1870's. The piece features elegant lines and beautiful glazes in mainly monochromatic colors of black gray shades. It is in very good antique condition, no defects ... moreor damage but needs cleaning, mostly on the inside. I did a light surface cleaning but it could use a deeper wash. Has beautiful glaze colors, at one time it must have been near someone who was painting as it had some surface paint flecks on it. I did manage to get most of those off of it. Not too difficult as they were so old I could easily remove them with my fingernail. The inside shows one- two manufacturing flaws in the form of small lines in the clay which have been glazed over. These are small and quite normal, not damage. There are 3 sets of numbers stamped in the bottom of this swan. Two of the sets are very distinct and mostly easy to make out. Interestingly, the last number of each set looks to be double stamped. The group of four numbers was originally 7535 with the last 5 being over stamped with the number 6. I think) The set of two numbers originally was seventy something. I can't make out whether the last number is a 6 which was stamped over to a 0, or some other number. The final group of numbers is very faint, almost didn't see them at all. They are impressed in the clay so lightly that I really can't be sure of the exact numerals of which there are

Offered for your collecting enjoyment is this lovley vintage hand painted French porcelain planter. Made by Robert Bloch between 1918-1939 when they hand painted their pieces. World War II came and the company closed. In 1945 Robert took a partner and rebuilt the company but made less expensive pieces using transferware instead of hand painting them. This beautiful planter features porcelain BOW handles and sits on 4 feet. It is beautifully decorated with flower bouquets and the attention to detail all around. This is a gorgeous coffee or chocolate pot. The glaze is luminous and the design is outstanding. It does have a very small nip on the inner lid as seen in the 8th picture, I've enlarged the pictures so you can see an accurate presentation. It is a vintage piece so considering it's age I think it's great. It is 9 inches high and 7 inches from spout to handle. It has no markings, but I was told it is French in origin. And two nicely worked rams' heads, one on either side of the pot, well bolted in. The pot is all hand painted on a white background with garlands of roses and sprigs of pink and blue flowers including blue forget-me-nots. And blue ribbons.
