It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. You are looking at and hopefully bidding on a most rare large piece of French 19thcentury(1860-1890) majolica-a cache pot/Jardinere and a large one.9" tall with an opening of 8 1/2-but the bulbous body actually goes out to about 11 inches. I've only seen one in mylifetime andit was consderablly smaller than this one. I believe there is one for sale ind the same rare pattern on Ebay at this very time.though smaller. 5-Lilles is an old French porcelain/majolica house-the bottomis marked with impressed with 1309/0 and above that is the well known fives-lilles mark-a great look and not a common one. The colors are phenomenal-the deep greens and varieted tourquoise leaves; browns/tans/Pinks/ all in relief with great care and quality. Antique 1890 Earthenware Ohio Pottery Purple Lg Cache Planter Pot Victorian Era
Here we have a Vintage 1890's- 1910's Earthenware Factories& Potteries Ohio Pottery Cache Pot. Purchased last year from an elderly couple's estate where there were many antiques and collectibles. This large and Very Unusual Victorian era colored pot measures 8.5" tall x 9.5" in diameter. There aren't any cracks but there are two insignificant chips on the bottom ridge of the pot, as shown in photo. THERE ARE MANY GLARES IN THE PHOTOS Therefore difficult to get any photos without glares. So. For this reason I took many photos. There is gold along the top ridge with some of it being somewhat worn off. There are variations of purples(which are true to color in the photos) and it gradually changes to lighter colors as you move down towards the bottom area of the pot. The darker decorations are sort of a very dark ... morepurple/black with the outer edge of them showing more of a purplish tone and being partially and sporadically outlined in gold. The gold has faded to a light purple in areas. The leaf decorations are just what you see in a pink/purple color matching the lower color tones towards the bottom area of the pot. These too are very faintly lined in possibly a gold or faded gold into a light purple. The handles also have worn off gold on the sides and it looks like the gold areas have turned sort of a purple in color as it has done in other areas. The inside isn't bad for as old as it is. Some stains on the inside bottom that I have not tried to scrub off. With all the intertwined letters on the underside hallmark it was hard to tell one from another. This is a beautiful Antique Victorian Hand Painted Jardinaire which is a very large 11" tall. 18" in diameter ate the widest point, and has a 13" scalloped rim and 8.5" round base. The planter is painted with dark green and gold leaves or'Fleur di Lis" design and has yellow and purple tulips painted front and back. It is signed. There are no cracks or chips, however there is some slight crazing and wear on the gold due to age. If this doesn't sell, I am keeping it! It is really nice! Here is a hard to find pair of cache pots on stands from around 1860-1880. The wood stands have metal ornamentation. Not standing straight. They are not very sturdy. A bit wobbly. To the top of the stands they are about 32" tall. The pots are 6 1/2" high and 7" across the opening. They have damage, hairlines, crazing, staining, one looks to have a firing crack on the base edge. Shipping will hard to estimate. Probably two boxes, one for the pots and one for the stands. Antique English Victorian Majolica Jardiniere & Pedistal clate 1800's
Offered to grace any room of your home is this absolutly fabulous antique Victorian majolica jardiniere planter and pedistal. Made in England in the last quarter of the 1800's. The jardiniere planter is marked on the bottom with the numbers'1364' impressed in the clay. The pedistal is marked in several places with an English registration number of'Rd.285.461' Rd' stands for'Registered Design' and the numbers date this to have been made between 1896-1897. The jardiniere planter is very large and dramatic with elaborate roses and flower swags on both sides in haut-relief along with acanthus leaves. Garlands and other classic Renaissance motifs. This jardiniere is in rich warm green and gold ocher colors with a brilliant Robin Egg turquois blue interior and rim. It measures 16 inches wide at its widest outside ... morepoints. 12.5 inches tall and the open mouth is just over 11 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The only thing I could find is a faint line on the bottom of the planter which is common with antique majolica items of this size and age. The pedistal is in the shape of a Greek Corinthian column on the top with fluting that travels downward to three large ornate feet. The top of the pedistal has a beautiful raised motif that reminds me of the many European stained glass cathedral windows. The pedistal measures 36 inches tall. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! The whole'ensemble' of the two pieces together measures 48.5 inches or just over 4 feet tall! Just fabulous! It measures 11" tall to the top of the handles. 15" across the top rim including handles, and 11 3/4" across the rim not including the handles. It weighs 12 lbs prior to packaging. It is tough to find information on this, but from what I could find on the internet, this dates circa 1880's. It is marked on the bottom Etruria 2998. It has a beautiful floral scene on each side with what looks like poppies and daisies. The gold leaf around the top rim has mostly worn off. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The glaze has crazing which can be seen primarily inside and on the bottom where it is white glaze. This is a beautiful Victorian Jardiniere or Planter made in England around 1870. I purchased this jardiniere in England about 35 years ago. It has a scalloped rim. Gently scalloped sides and a scalloped base. There are pictures of red and pink roses within gold trimmed oval cartouches. The planter has a green color glossy glaze. The interior color is off-white. There is an abundance of gold used in the design. The top rim and base are heavily trimmed with gold. The jardiniere has an 8-3/8 top diameter and stands 8 inches high. It is in good condition; no chips. Cracks, repairs or scratches and very little wear to the gold. The interior has crazing and the exterior has mild crazing that can be seen under magnification. Lovely Antique Victorian Porcelain Cobalt Blue & Gold Jardiniere & Pedestal 28"
This auction is for a Lovely Antique Porcelain Cobalt Blue Jardiniere and Pedestal Beautifully Molded and Designed with Gold accents. With its Bold Colors and Unique Shape. The piece Displays Wonderfully. Together, it stands 28 inches tall, There is age-appropriate loss of the gold accent design throughout. There are no chips or cracks or damage to the jardiniere. There is crazing and a few small rust marks on the inside bottom(see photo 9) The jardiniere measures 12 1/2 inches across and 9 inches tall. The pedestal is build in three pieces and connected with a nut and a rod. It measures 19 inches tall and 10 3/4 inches across. The pedestal has loss of the gold design. Too, as well as a repaired chip about 3/4 of the way up(see photo 10) and a hairline that radiates up from the base that is hard to see from the outside(last two photos) I ... morebelieve the piece dates to the late 1800s or early 1900s. It has an Anchor in a Circle backstamp in green. I am not sure of the maker. But by the form and the feel I believe the piece is either French or British. Check out my!
