It was located in the north east of France. They made soft paste porcelain in the SEVRES style from 1815 to 1877. This beautiful antique jardiniere features not only and ART NOUVEAU theme. But also an ART NOUVEAU shape! The mouth to this jardiniere fans out like a flower and the two handles become flowers. It has a pierced rim in the front and back. It is marked on the underside of the base with an impressed mark which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. It measures roughly 9" tall x 11" in diameter at its widest and weigh close to seven pounds. The diameter across the top opening is just under 9 1/2" The decoration features gold gilt over swirled bands of cobalt blue and maroon. The condition is very good. And dates from circa 1900-1920. It has a bucket form and elaborate painted decorations in the 18th century style. The lip features a parcel-gilt bas-relief frieze with rinceau motif, depicting baby Nereids and foliate scroll-mantled vases, and the body is painted with four floral roundels on a white enamel interlaced ground. Lovely French majolica swan planter/ vase dating to the mid Victorian era. Circa 1870's. The piece features elegant lines and beautiful glazes in mainly monochromatic colors of black gray shades. It is in very good antique condition, no defects ... moreor damage but needs cleaning, mostly on the inside. I did a light surface cleaning but it could use a deeper wash. Has beautiful glaze colors, at one time it must have been near someone who was painting as it had some surface paint flecks on it. I did manage to get most of those off of it. Not too difficult as they were so old I could easily remove them with my fingernail. The inside shows one- two manufacturing flaws in the form of small lines in the clay which have been glazed over. These are small and quite normal, not damage. There are 3 sets of numbers stamped in the bottom of this swan. Two of the sets are very distinct and mostly easy to make out. Interestingly, the last number of each set looks to be double stamped. The group of four numbers was originally 7535 with the last 5 being over stamped with the number 6. I think) The set of two numbers originally was seventy something. I can't make out whether the last number is a 6 which was stamped over to a 0, or some other number. The final group of numbers is very faint, almost didn't see them at all. They are impressed in the clay so lightly that I really can't be sure of the exact numerals of which there are

French Antique Porcelain Golden Coffee Pot
This is a gorgeous coffee or chocolate pot. The glaze is luminous and the design is outstanding. It does have a very small nip on the inner lid as seen in the 8th picture, I've enlarged the pictures so you can see an accurate presentation. It is a vintage piece so considering it's age I think it's great. It is 9 inches high and 7 inches from spout to handle. It has no markings, but I was told it is French in origin. Antique Old Paris French Porcelain Cache Pot Vase Jardiniere Drunk Cherubs
Antique Old Paris French Porcelain Cache Pot Vase Jardiniere with what appears to be a pair of tipsy cherubs- one looks to be sleeping it off and the other can't get enough. Clutching a bottle or a cup in each hand! Just lovely against the pink background with that very bright gold typically seen in Old Paris porcelain. The auctioneer listed this piece as vintage old Paris porcelain when I bought it but I can't attest to its veracity. There is no mark. The cachepot is 7.75 inches high. The diameter at the top is 6.75 inches and at the bottom(the short pedestal foot) 5.5 inches. A small amount of the black paint off the rim has thinned, probably where the pot has been handled over the years- see photo#5. There is also some slight rubbing on the gold circle on the top part surrounding the cherubs. Still, a very lovely piece that will ... morebrighten up any mantel or corner where displayed.

The decoration is a hunting scene probably in North Africa( Algeria) where the last lions were killed during the French colonial period from 1830. Up for auction is a pair of antique hand painted French two part Jardinieres. Let me state from the start that although they both have the red M. Imp le de Sevres mark. I think these are early 20th C. copies. I do not believe a real Sevres piece from this period would have the handwritten gold"France" that is on both of them. That being said they are very decorative. Both have hand painted matching landscapes front and back. A beautiful black,gold and white border near the upper rim. Antique Orchies French Majolica Cache Pot Planter Jardiniere-LOVELY
Beautiful Orchies majolica cache pot planter. The planter is in very good antique condition with no chips or cracks. It does have overall glaze crazing and stilt marks on the bottom from the kiln firing. It also appears that through use the planter is showing signs of staining inside. Please see photos. The cache pot is approx. 7" high and 8" wide. This cache pot is really beautiful and needs to be seen to be appreciated.
