Germany Quality This came from an older east central Illinois estate& its quality matches that of other pieces we’ve had marked“Germany” even though its back is only marked“3048 G.G” It measures 9 ½” long by 4 7/8” deep by 9” tall with its back lower section only being 4” tall. It has no chips. Nicks, cracks, or repairs at all. I believe its last owners used it as a desk organizer as it had pencil marks in the"vase" that I originally thought were hairlines but came off with scrubbing. Both the planter and"vase" are still somewhat soiled inside. The fountain in the scene is made of stone. Bricks, wood with shrubs& flowers growing on it, but the entire surface is colored a pale tan/brown with darker colors accenting details. Everything ... moreelse is its original bisque surface: the 2 water vessels he’s helping her with, the 2 lambs off to one side, her pet lamb with the bow around her seeking her mistress’s attention. The young lovers are quite detailed: both with elaborate hair styles(her bow matching her lamb’s) his 18 th century gentleman’s country outfit is complete with his neck ruff. Long vest, coat with flared sides& gathered sleeves, knee breeches, knee stockings, pumps with metal buckles; her low cut dress has cross straps at the bodice to tighten the front, an overskirt or“bustle” she has pulled around in front of her to hold flowers she’s picked, stockings, simple pumps with a strap complete her outfit. Antique Carl Schneider Bisque Planter, 1875-1879, Goddess & Cherub on Swan Boat
Please see all pictures as they are part of the description. This listing is for a beautiful bisque porcelain planter from Carl Schneider Porcelain 1875-1951. This piece bears the incised maker's mark used from 1875- 1879. A unique and gorgeous collector's item. There are holes through the swan's nose. And left hand of the goddess. I believe at one time there may have been a rein fed through the holes allowing the goddess to"steer" the swan. Being at least 135 years old. This piece is in wonderful condition showing minor wear. Please be sure to see the last three pictures. You will see a split in the porcelain between the cherubs legs, roughness to the Goddess' left foot and on the backside where the Goddess is seated there is a split in the porcelain. It is possible these are factory flaws.

Antique Snowman& Boy Bisque Figurine Planter. Like Heubach, German The face of the boy. Intensely inserting a pipe into the snowman's snowy mouth, has the look of a Gebruder Heubach doll or figurine. Stamped"885" on the bottom. He wears a wonderful. Colorful outfit of deep blue snowsuit, speckled scarf, green earflap hat. And the white stockings worn by children in the first decade of the 20th century, when the piece was made. Footsteps in the snow can be noted. The snowman wears a bucket hat and a carrot nose. The vase/planter section can accomodate leaves or a little plant or vine or flowers. 6 1/2" tall. And 5" wide.
