Porcelain Plaster Ceramic Bouquet of Flowers in Basket Planter
This is an adorable ceramic/plaster bouquet of flowers. The purple. Green, yellow and white colors are fabulous. It is quite heavy for such a small piece. It measures approximately 5 ½” tall and 14” around the bouquet. There are 2 flaws with this piece and I tried to capture them in my photos. The first issue is a brown spot on the side of the vase. Which I tried to wipe away to no avail. I did not use cleanser on it. As I did not want to ruin the piece. The second flaw is on top of the handle– a ¼” piece of the ceramic ribbon has been broken. I have no idea where the brown spots came from. Nor do I know how to remove them. My family member must have had this stored against something brown and it rubbed color onto the plaster/ceramic. I’m sure some white paint will fix the issue. It is still a beautiful piece and the flowers and ... moreleaves have amazing detail! I apologize if my pictures are blurry. OLD FIGURAL PLANTER YOUNG BOYS WITH BASKET This is a very whimsical figurine of a group of boys pulling and pushing a large basket planter. It is approximately 14" long and 8" tall. I am uncertain of exactly what it is made of. It does not appear to be porcelain or ceramic. It is fairly heavy for it's size. It may be some sort of chalkware or plaster or some other material. The surface is in very good painted condition. There are a few spots here and there which show a whitish color beneath. I had to really look for them. I did not see any breaks or cracks or missing parts. The piece has a maker's mark on the side that I could not decipher. I included a picture.
