Figural design on the stand showing children climbing on the stand. Lovely colors green with violet to plum color. Very impressive in its size coloration and figural stand. This is a really lovely piece. impresive and beautiful. There is no mark but it is clearly English in origin and dates to the late 19th century

The pedestal itself measures 24 ½ inches or 62 cm high. The planter measures 10 ¼ inches or 22 high to the top rim. And is 13 inches or 33 cm at its widest. The jardinière and pedestal features shades of green glaze with yellow highlights throughout. The pedestal is column form with Greek key and heart designs. The jardinière and pedestal are in excellent condition. There is minor glaze crazing to the glaze, and there are no chips, cracks or repairs. There is a very small glaze flake on the jardiniere rim. Antique English Victorian Majolica Jardiniere & Pedistal clate 1800's
Offered to grace any room of your home is this absolutly fabulous antique Victorian majolica jardiniere planter and pedistal. Made in England in the last quarter of the 1800's. The jardiniere planter is marked on the bottom with the numbers'1364' impressed in the clay. The pedistal is marked in several places with an English registration number of'Rd.285.461' Rd' stands for'Registered Design' and the numbers date this to have been made between 1896-1897. The jardiniere planter is very large and dramatic with elaborate roses and flower swags on both sides in haut-relief along with acanthus leaves. Garlands and other classic Renaissance motifs. This jardiniere is in rich warm green and gold ocher colors with a brilliant Robin Egg turquois blue interior and rim. It measures 16 inches wide at its widest outside ... morepoints. 12.5 inches tall and the open mouth is just over 11 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The only thing I could find is a faint line on the bottom of the planter which is common with antique majolica items of this size and age. The pedistal is in the shape of a Greek Corinthian column on the top with fluting that travels downward to three large ornate feet. The top of the pedistal has a beautiful raised motif that reminds me of the many European stained glass cathedral windows. The pedistal measures 36 inches tall. It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks! The whole'ensemble' of the two pieces together measures 48.5 inches or just over 4 feet tall! Just fabulous! TOTALLY FABULOUS! REGAL LIONS HEADS AND PAWS EMBELLISH THIS WONDERFUL MAJOLICA URN AND PEDESTAL CONDITION IS AMAZING FOR THE AGE WITH NO REPAIRS. CRACKS OR CHIPS THERE IS SOME CRAZING THROUGHOUT. INTERIOR OF POT AT BOTTOM IS EVER SO SLIGHTLY DARKENED AND APPEARS TO BE COLORED GLAZING FROM FIRING. OTHER ISSUES IF ANY ARE FROM THE POTTERS WHEEL WHEN IT WAS FIRED THE GLAZING MISSED A FEW SPOTS UNDERNEATH AND CAUSE SOME BUBBLING ON A FEW SPOTS OF LIONS HEAD AND MINOR PLACES THROUGHOUT THE URN WHICH IS CONSISTENT WITH AGE AND TIME IT WAS MADE WHICH WAS AROUND 1910. Antique English Majolica Planter Jardiniere Cache Pot Deer Cobalt Blue Forester
Wonderful English majolica cobalt blue pottery cachepot/ planter/ jardiniere decorated with deer and tree motif. Pink interior, yellow edges and beaded bands. It is marked on the underside with a painted, under the glaze star or asterisk, possibly a date cipher. We have seen similar items described as made by Thomas Forester, from Longton, England. In good used condition with crazing, old retouch and imperfections from the time of manufacture typical of this type of pottery as shown. Shipped fully insured with tracking number.
