Antique ARDALT Occupied Japan Hand Painted Wall Hanging Planter-Cupid Whispering Figurine Up for auction is a gorgeous and fun vintage Occupied Japan ARDALT hand painted porcelain wall hanging or table top planter. It a wonderful depicting of an early 20th century changing screen with a figurine of a woman peeping out to get some advice from or give some direction to a figurine of cupid-complete with wings and arrow quiver. There is definitely some conspiring going on. The piece is also decorated with applied flowers and accented with raised dots. The bottom mark says"Hand Painted Lenwile China. Ardalt, Occupied Japan, G384B. It's 6.5" tall and 5.5" at its widest and 3.5" at its thickest. It's in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or breaks. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its exact ... moreage but late 1940s is my best guess. This is a unique and definately 60's era item. It is a wall planter which sits into a brass wire ring and decorative wire wall support. The planter is a heavy solid brass cone on which there is a ceramic inlay applied. The theme is brass. White, and pink with one almost burnt orange leaf like on the front as an accent. It is a collectible and a conversation piece made by Nevco! I imagine you could get very creative with how you choose to use it and what you put in it.

Vintage Ceramic Hanging Bird Planter Bird is a DOVE Finish is a Pearly White. Gives the appearance of Mother of Pearl Planting area is clean. Appears to never have been used as a planter. Note: no drain holes. Important that this never have moisture in it and freeze! Hangs by three S Hooks and chains. Chains are 10" plus the hooks. Chains are aged. Not rusty but their finish is gone. I would spray paint but leaving as it for you to decide. Dove measures 11" from head to tail; wing span from tip to tip is 13 1/4" Planter depth is about 3 1/2" Beautiful finish. There are 2 little pin pricks in finish.appear to be from manufacturing as they are symmetrical. This Dove is from my husband's grandmother or great aunt's former home.
