Early General Store Wood and Glass Display Case Showcase made by Charles Bodach
I am offering for the first time some unusual antiques from my personal collection. This is beautiful antique Charles Bodach Company"THE LEADING SHOW CASE HOUSE" Chicago as stated on the brass plate attached on the lower center front of the showcase. The Charles Bodach Company manufactured showcases here in Chicago dating back to the 1860's. This case measures 82” long. 22” depth and 18” tall. The inside of the back 3 sliding doors have original mirrored finish. The glass looks to be original too as it has the old waves and scattered very small internal bubbles in a few areas. It has an old light blue velvet material on the inside bottom. The case was well cared for over the years as someone made the beautiful wooden 4 leg stand that the case is set on. The case just lifts off the stand. The height of the show case and stand ... moretogether is about 46" tall. Very nice thick and heavy old tempered glass countertop display case for pie. Pastry, candies etc. It is in strong, tight good condition with some picking or specking on the chrome and it came clear up with steel wool and I will check. but the chrome is still shiny and looks pretty good. As mentioned above, it measures 37-1/2" in length, 10" front to back and 5" high. This is heavy so will take careful packaging and a large box.

This is a very nice Antique General Store Glass Display Case Made By Union Show Case Co In Chicago. I would date this to late 1800's to early 1900's. This display measures 27 1/2 wide 26 1/4 front to back and 16 1/2 inches tall. It does have the original finish and trim. Wavey original glass. It really is in remarkable condition. I will be listing this for sale locally and reserve the right to end auction if sold locally. I would like buyer to pick up at my home but it can be shipped at buyers expense. Antique Curved Glass 36" Countertop Country Store Display Case Showcase cabinet
I have up for sale a very nice vintage/ antique circa 1900 Countertop Curved Glass Display Showcase cabinet- measures approx 35-1/2" long. 24" deep, 14" tall. These are outside dimensions. The case is made of wood with what appears to be a nickel plated metal covering over the wood. The back door is hinged- appears to be original as far as I can tell. There is no manufacturers markings anywhere that I can see. I have seen this same nickel over wood type case before.One was made by the Kansas City Showcase Works and the other by Stein Showcases of Rochester, NY. The case comes from the estate of a 90+ year old Antique Dealer used in her Antique shop. It is in Very Good Condition- the glass is basically excellent with no damages- nice and clear. Overall the case is in what I would call very good shape- looks great as well. It ... moreappears as though the inside wood was refinished many years back- meaning the inner surface and inside back door. The bottom boards have some minor separation. I notice that the back door needs some attention. The right side does not snug up close as the left side does, so it may need some adjusting. Also the latch plunger is just a bit short of catching onto the upper part of the latch that holds it and keeps it shut. I have this shown in my last pic. This is an old piece and there is normal age and use wear and imperfections. Biele& Sons Company sometime during the mid 1800's. Mr. Biele made cases for the Metropolitan fro more than 35 years and was known to have made cases for museums and private collectors. This is in wonderful condition. The glass is in great shape. The mirrored back doors are in great working condition. The mirror does look vintage however showing age. The wood has a great patina and looks great to the eye, especially with the original hardware. The case measures approximately 80" length. 14" height ... moreand approximately 30" in depth. Vintage Jewlery store Showcase & interior
This is one wall from a jewelry store. It was put together with wooden pegs. The building was built around 1860 this may or may not be that old. But could be late 1800 to early 1900's. The wood is mahogany. Showcase is 8' tall and 10' long and has 4 sliding glass wood framed doors and the bottom has 4 hinged doors. The top glass sliding door section is separate from the bottom. It has been painted on the inside but would look great with a mirror backing. I have enough pieces to go approximately 30' in length including the showcase. One or two panels have the beveled mirror missing and peg board was put in it place. Each panel is also about 8' tall. The open cupboard in the photos with the black felt lining is the same cupboard that is closed with the 2 mahogany doors. Please ask questions.

Fabulous vintage counter/table top showcase. I believe this was used in a jewelry store or department store to display jewelry or watches. It looks like a Japanese piece to me. Though I'm not sure. There are no hallmarks or manufacturer information. Made of wood. Glass on top and both sides.impressive large curved glass door in front. The frame of the door and trim of the base are lacquered in a brownish-red color. The sides may be made of walnut and I think some of the other wooden pieces used are lightweight balsa. It measures 20 1/2" tall. 18 1/2" wide and 10 1/2" deep. On the inside are 3 glass shelves.one solid, the length of the case, and two halves that are off-set and curved on the front. There is a raised platform in the bottom. The space between the top shelf and the top is 5" between the top shelf and the ... moretwo half shelves is 3 1/2" and 4 1/2" between the bottom and two middle shelves is 6 3/4" on both. The interior is lined in natural fiber paper with small square foiled flecks. The case is lightweight and rather fragile. Though still in excellent condition. There are very light spots from moisture on the interior paper, a few small tears in the inside top in the paper from nails. Light scuffs and marks on the outside from normal use. No damage on the exterior or glass. The door is a bit sticky.you have to be careful when opening and closing.the lower right corner has to be guided to keep it from binding. Thanks for looking.

You are bidding on a store display case for a large chunk of cheese. The case sits on a 22 inch square base and measures 23.75 inches tall. The crown molding at the top matches the base in a lovely light honey colored maple or poplar. At the top of two sides are ventilation holes to allow the cheese to breathe. Missing on the base is a lazy susan. The base and the top appear to be pine. A unique roll wood back has its original leather straps. A great little iron pull allows the back to move up and down with one finger. The glass is original without cracks or breaks. The wood is also in very good condition considering its age. This six feet counter display case was used in the McReynolds Store in Quality. KY that closed its doors almost 40 years ago. The finish is not perfect. But excellent for its age. The stunning oak case is solid showing no repairs. A small triangular section of oak is missing from the frame of the back of one sliding door as shown in the photo. The showcase sports a brass manufacturing tag. Geo. E. Allison, St. Louis. It is 72 inches long. 28 inches wide, and 17.5 inches tall. The case has a blue oil cloth covering the interior base. The wavy glass is original and without cracks or breaks. The sliding doors with finger pulls have the original mirror showing some age flaws but no cracks or breaks. I am not sure of the age. Its design is awesome with nickel plated supports at the corners and joints. It sports an identification tag reading. Nashville Showcase Co. Nashville, Tenn. This vintage display case is seven feet long or 84 inches. 28 inches deep, and 17 inches tall. The glass is all original telling the story of its use. The top left glass is dulled from items being dragged over its surface. The top right glass shows less wear. But has a crack in the corner. The right bottom glass is missing a triangular piece at the corner. Please view photos for these imperfections. The glass was secured by putty which has dried and begun to crack over the years. Antique Golden Oak Store Showcase. Wavy Glass, George E. Allison, St. Louis.
I bought this six feet counter display case about four decades ago when the McReynolds Store in Quality. KY closed its doors. The finish is not perfect. But excellent for its age. The stunning oak case is solid showing no repairs. A small triangular section of oak is missing from the frame of the back of one sliding door as shown in the photo. This does not affect the function of the door and is almost unnoticable. The showcase sports a brass manufacturing tag. Geo. E. Allison, St. Louis. It is 72 inches long. 28 inches wide, and 17.5 inches tall. The case has a blue oil cloth covering the interior base. The wavy glass is original and without cracks or breaks. The sliding doors with finger pulls have the original mirror showing some age flaws but no cracks or breaks. I am not sure of the age. But would guess pre-1900's. Old Vtg Lead Glass Terrarium Store Jewelry Plant Display Showcase Watering Can
This lead and glass terrarium display stands a little more than 7 inches in height. The base measures a little over 6 inches across. The entire glass lift off the base. It's a hexagon shape. The base is tin/steel that is. It is magnetic. The rest of the metal is most likely all lead. It is nonferrous or non-magnetic. This piece has been painted with a gold paint which is failing or rubbing off in spots. There are no cracks in any of the panes and no chips as far as we can see.

This is a beautiful vintage display case that has been used in my home for many years. This is a very unique design with doors that open from the top. The frame is made of wood and is covers by nickel plated tin. The overall case has a great vintage patina. It is a wonderful case that you will enjoy displaying your favorite collectibles in. There are a few repairs to the interior to secure the glass. The hardware appears to be original and includes locks on both doors. The keepers for the locks are missing but I have seen the correct type keepers for sale on the internet. The tin is in good condition and tight to the framing except one corner as seen in the photos.
