I can just imagine the excitement walking up to a jewelry store window and seeing a beautiful necklace or pin displayed on these beautiful stands. I can combine shipping charges if you win more than one auction. These are from the early part of the 20th century. Some of them are missing their velvet insert but it wouldn't be too difficult to wrap and glue a small piece of velvet around a piece of cardboard and set it inside the ones that are missing theirs. The velvet inserts by the way that ARE included. Are stiff from age, but you could still pin a lovely brooch or earrings to the fabric. The color of the original velvet is a dark burgundy. Measures; 42" sq with all four leaves down. 66" sq with all four leaves up. Each of the 3 removable shelves are 11" deep and 40" long and about 3/4" thick. Stands about 29" tall to the top of the table and 47" tall with the top flipped up. The base lifts up and down with the aid of a metal bar that slips in to the frame. I believe it is oak. Antique large primitive store counter candy jar. It has a slant front and rounded back end. Sides. Top, and bottom have flat stops. It is 11" deep x 7-1/2" tall x 6" wide. It has many inperfections in the glass, ie, bubbles, wavy stops as old glass often has. It is a heavy thick glass. The rubber gasket to the lid is gone, if it ever had one. It is in very good antique condition no cracks, or chips that I could see, but there is some use rubbing and scratches which only add to its character. We are not certain of its original history but believe it to be from the late 1800's. Comes with 3 drawers and 2 glass shelves for display. The drawers and shelves can switched from one end to the other. The front side is purely for display and the backside has a cubby on the right end that cannot be viewed from the front. Great for supplies. Just above the cubby a cash drawer housed with slots for different bills and change. Just above this drawer is a lid with a slot for receipts or whatever you choose. It can be lifted to gain entry to the receipts as well. Here is a wonderful old Oak Store Display Case for ribbon! No Reserve on this item! The front and back have 6 drop down glass doors each. For a total of 12 doors in all. The 2 sides each have 2 panels of glass. So there is glass all around! The case measures 38 inches tall. 29 inches wide and 11 inches deep. The old finish is original. The knobs are all original. As I mentioned. One of the little"stops" is missing for one of the doors. It is still working ok with one stop. The case is dusty inside. I wiped it off somewhat on the outside. RARE Antique Utilitee Super Lisle Web Ribbon Store Display Box Reverse Painted
I bought this display box in 1969 when the old J.C. Penney building in downtown Jefferson City. Missouri was going out of business to move into a newer building. The old building had the wooden floors and the vacuum tubes that sent payments to the upstairs main office to be processed. I have moved this box with me over the years and have only used it for display because it is an amazing piece of memorabilia. Now we are downsizing and I'm going to let this go. The box measures 7 3/4" tall. By 15 1/2" wide, and 6 1/4" deep. The inside contains slots that held spools of elastic and ribbon for display in the store. The lid is reverse painted with the Utilitee Super Lisle Web advertising. Over all the box is in great condition for its age. The left side under the lid, one of the screws has come loose, as shown in the photo. ... moreThat is the only flaw with this case. The glass does need cleaning for displaying. It does have the original hardware and porcelain knob. I think the pictures tell the story. In the 90s I took this to be appraised. The appraiser told me that it was more rare than any Coates and Clark box or spool cabinet that he had ever seen. He was unable to find one like it. And would not appraise it. Rare Corticelli 14 Drawer Store Display Spool Cabinet
The king of the spool cabinets not for the faint of heart. I restore antique furniture and have a backlog the hard work on this is done the layers of old paint have been removed except the small sections of drawer fronts which are just shellac all it needs to be finished is a little sanding some minor spot striping and a new finish. It stands 37 1/2" tall 20 1/2" wide and 18 1/2" deep. It has 9 spool drawers that hold 156 spools of thread or 1365 total and five larger open drawers for storage. The plate glass fronts are all present one was broken but I have a replacement cut and ready to install all the original hardware is present except one spool drawer pull which if copied from other present nothing major. Made of oak the top section has some dowel holes where a 1/2" oak wide advertising board went. I am offering for the first time some unusual antiques from my personal collection. This is beautiful antique Charles Bodach Company"THE LEADING SHOW CASE HOUSE" Chicago as stated on the brass plate attached on the lower center front of the showcase. The Charles Bodach Company manufactured showcases here in Chicago dating back to the 1860's. This case measures 82” long. 22” depth and 18” tall. The inside of the back 3 sliding doors have original mirrored finish. The glass looks to be original too as it has the old waves and scattered very small internal bubbles in a few areas. It has an old light blue velvet material on the inside bottom. The case was well cared for over the years as someone made the beautiful wooden 4 leg stand that the case is set on. The 2 sliding mirrored glass doors in the back have a really cool distressed patina. the showcase was made by the Houston showcase mfg corp and it is stamped on the underside. the glass has a wavy effect to it. Has a thin coat of black paint. Stands 42" tall- long part of"L" is 8' short part is 4' 20" wide- shelves are 16" wide. The kick plate on the long end is split and needs re-attached. LARGE ANTIQUE 7'+ STORE DISPLAY CASE on Wheels Sheaffers Pens& Pencils, I have recently purchased a very large Antique store and am in the process of selling off some of the many display cases. Any cases must be picked up in Monroeville NJ 08343& paid for in cash at time of pickup.No paypal. Must be picked up within 10 days of sale ending& you must be flexable on the pickup date which aligns with a day I will be there. Some weeks Im here mid week& others Im here on the weekend. Sales tax applies unless you have your shipper pick them up(arranged& paid for by you) or if you can provide a sales tax ID number to exempt you from sales tax obligations. YOU WILL NEED TO PROVIDE ATLEASE 1 ABLE BODIED PERSON TO HELP MOVE THIS CASE. Its best to transport this in an enclosed trailer. I apologize if the pics are a little blury ... moreor dark. The lighting in the building is not good. Here is an old store display case. The decal on the inside reads Sheaffers Pens& Pencils. Measures 23-1/2" wide. 88-1/2" long& 36" tall. It has a glass top& sides with a wooden bottom. Some one added wheels to this case which makes it great for moving around. This one shows wear from years of use. The top glass has MANY scratches& also has a chip out of the front about the diameter of a nickel.The scratches are hard to see in the pic, but they are pretty heavy. If your real particular you may want to just change out the top glass. It has 3 drop down doors in the back& 1 glass shelf for the inside. There is storage at the bottom accessed from the back.Please look over the pics& email with any questions. The lighting in the building is not good. Here is a large old antique display case with an angled glass sliding 4 door front& mirrors across the back. 1 mirror is broken& must be replaced. The other mirrors are aged& have streaks in them so if your real particular you may want to replace the mirrors. The glass across the top has normal wear for its age. This case assembled is 12' 10" 155 inches) long 40-3/4 tall and 21-5/8" at the base& 15" deep at the top. There is a full glass shelf for 1 half& a half glass shelf for the other side. This case splits in the center so it can be moved easier.It has wear to the finish beings its really old Please see pic. Email with any questions.
