Each also has a rear wooden bypass door with a lock. These were salvaged from a local pawn shop and are only two years old. They are in very good condition. Very nice antique 1890-1900 era tin and glass with a cardboard base display case. The only distractions for this case are two scratches in the glass on the hinged lid. The rest of the glass and the metal are problem free. It has a loose black piece of felt on the inside. The cardboard base has some fading but is structurally sound. The bottom has it's original 4 feet. The hinge for the lid works just as it should. The case measures 3 7/8" tall. 10 7/8" wide and is 4 1/2" deep. I have listed $12.00 for shipping. I am basing this on coast-to-coast shipping. If you are closer to the East Coast shipping should be less. The soda can is to provide scale and is not included. This old oak case was probably used in a Rexall drug store in the early 1900’s. Holding nibs for ink dip and/or fountain pens. It will make a beautiful display case for small collectibles. The case measures at the base 14 1/2” long by 12 1/2” wide. And 2” high. The lid hinges at the right-hand end, with a hook closure at the opposite end. There are twelve 3” x 2 ¼” compartments, and one 12 ½” x 2 ¾” compartment at the back. The smaller compartments are labeled for REXALL Pen nibs of different styles and sizes. A few of the paper labels are missing or damaged. The oak is in good condition, and the finish is also in good condition, showing some minor wear consistent with age and normal use. Antique Solid Curved Glass Display Counter with rear sliding doors "1880's
Very old from information that I have gathered it is from the 1880's. In the day. This was a looker. Remarkable shape for it's age. Grandpa's country store is gone and this is for sale. Has been in storage for over 30 years. The top is a solid(one piece) glass that measures 98 1/4" long and 22" wide. The front piece of glass measures the same length as the top however, it is curved. Counter stands 40" tall. Inside is a shelf that measures 12" wide and is made up of 4 pieces on an adjustable shelving bracket. In the front is one piece of curved glass. In the back are four wooden sliding doors that are 2' wide and 19" tall with finger holes. One of these doors is missing a board about 19" in height. Under the sliding doors to the right are two drawers that measure 23 1/4" wide and about 3 5/8" ... moredeep. To the left of the two drawers is a opening that is 63" long, 16" deep and 7 1/2" in height. The glass shows wear scratches, but no breakage in the glass. On the bottom under the curved part to the back corner shows some slight damage but it is mostly to the bottom edging. As far as the wood is concerned I think that it is Mahogany, but I am not positive. It could be cherry. Items inside case do not sell. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY. Please view all photos. PRICED TO SELL* It is a beautiful piece. Very very old. It was in my store for almost 20 years and in a shop in Narraganset for decades before that. The counter is a very heavy. Solid rock maple. It has fabulous design and beautiful wainscoting detail. I have always thought it would make an awesome bar as well! The glass display top sits on top of the counter and is not attached. It can be moved to any part of the counter. The glass in that piece is original. And has some of the wave apperience glass of that age has. The back that jewelry case has been mirrored. Not by me, but must have been done at a later date. The paint is in good condition. A few minor chips. Probably needs a good cleaning it has been in the garage awhile. The far end is unfinished. The unit measures approximately 14-1/2" inches wide by 16 inches long by 7-1/2" inches tall. Overall the unit is in excellent condition. The cabinet appears to be made out of finished oak. The front. Sides and top have general light scratching consistent with age and use, but no abuse. All of the drawers are present with the cabinet as well as the hardware for each drawer. This is an antique display counter for a business or store or for your own collections at home. This is beautiful oak with lots of glass. All the glass and the mirrors are in great shape. Including the top glass counter with minimal scratching. There are four(4) slide doors for access from the back with mirrors which face the customer. There are two(2) adjustable shelves with original brackets. This measures 70 inches long x 36 inches in height x 24 inches in depth. Very sturdy. The counter has been carefully stored for a few years and while we tried to clean it up for the photos. It still looks a bit dusty. 19th C. Antique DOVETAILED WOODEN COUNTER GLASS TOP DISPLAY CASE w/Brass Lock A mid 19th century wooden display case with 3 section glass hinged lid. The base is of dovetail construction with single board sides and 2 tongue& groove bottom boards. The 3 section glass top is attached to the base with iron hinges. The glass dividers are mortised and pegged. It has a brass lock and latch hook. Measurements: Height: 7” Width: 48-3/4” Depth: 23” The interior has been painted white as you can see in the pictures. There are old splits in the wood where the screws attach the hinges but the lid is still held securely in place with little or no play. The glass probably isn’t original but it is quite early as it is wavy. The glass has some wear with scratches. One piece has a small edge chip. Antique VTG 1800s Lancaster Beveled Glass Mirrored Wooden Counter Display Case
Here is an excellent 19th century display case. Made by Russell Sales Co. Lancaster PA. This is very early and the glass is SUPER thick. There is a BB gun like mark on the inside of glass but it is so thick it really did nothing. It literally is a pin hole. The top right corner has a crack but then again the glass is so thick it really doesn't affect this piece at all. Besides that he wood is really good and the back doors are beveled mirror and awesome. All this needs is a cleaning. You don't want to miss out on this. Can send better photos if needed.
