For your consideration is this Primitive Antique Clarks O.N.T. 2 Drawer Spool Chest Sewing Cabinet. This cabinet is primitively constructed with a fine hardwood and primitive hardware. It is solid wood and appears to be walnut. It features 2 drawers with glass advertising. The top drawer reads"Clark's O.N.T" The bottom drawer reads"Spool Cotton" Both glass areas feature a gold background with black lettering. The handles are also gold in color to match the background of the glass. This cabinet has been mounted to a very nice turned leg base that is made out of the same wood as the cabinet. It is really a nice piece that you can use day to day since it does have the base. You can place it just about anywhere in your home to accent your decor. Antique spool thread advertising display solid oak/mirror MERRICKS SPOOL COTTON
This is an antique spool thread advertising display with a mirror. Across top of frame: MERRICK'S SPOOL COTTON; and remnants of an eagle in the center. It measures 35 1/2" long x 25" high x 4 1/2" deep. The mirror is 29 1/2" x 6 1/2" and has some scratches and some black spots. It is backed by wood. I don't know how this piece originally worked. I think it hung as an independent piece. But maybe was part of something larger or a base piece that this hung over. There are slots on the inside of the frame work(see photo) maybe had sliding wires with spools on them, one wooden rod was there when I got it from my family's estate, and I added one so I could use it as a towel holder. MUSEUM WORTHY Antique Oak Store Display Thread J.P. COATS SPOOL COTTON Roll-Top Sides 1864-5 This is an incredible store display dating to the Civil War era for J. P. Coats. My research indicates that displays were provided by the company free with the purchase of the spools. It is entirely made of oak and glass. With brass hinges on the doors and flaps, a huge, probably iron, screw on the bottom, and small metal nails. The view from the bottom shows dovetail fittings. It measures 22.5” tall, and is 16.25” by 21” at the base(including the decorative molding) Two opposite sides have“roll-top” type doors with wood knobs. They slide up and down smoothly. Both of these sides have decorative scrolls/ feathers impressed(carved? on each vertical edge(close up, photo 8) Both also have a large, gold-pained panel that has“J. P. Coats’ Spool Cotton. ... moreprinted in black, fancy letters. Below the roll-top door on one side is another gold-painted panel that reads“Black Nos. 8 to 60” in black letters. The other side has“White Nos. 8 to 60” in black letters on gold. The side for the white thread also has“Patent Applied For” printed across the top. Inside the roll-top doors are slanted displays for spools(see in photos 2 and 7) These are filled via two hinged flaps or doors on the top, shown in photos 5 and 6. You can see that the spool sizes have numbered slots on the top that correspond to the numbered bins on the sides. The other two sides have long wood dividers, each with a glass pane to cover the visible spools. Each of these sides has a gold-painted panel under the glass displays. On one side, J. P. Coats’ Spool Cotton No. 40” is printed in black letters; on the other side is“J. P. Coats’ Spool Cotton No. 50. An Early Antique Oak J& P Coats Spool Cotton Cabinet in very nice display condition. I'm guessing the age to be around 1900 and would have seen this type of piece in the old General Store back in the day. This is a 4-sided advertising spool cabinet with an unusual design having rollup tambour panels on both sides. The top has 4 access doors to load spools of thread. Two sides are visible to few the thread. There is one rounded door on the bottom missing on one side. Otherwise. It is very presentable with the original finish and wonderful original advertising work all the way around. The cabinet measures 16" wide by 21" deep by 22 1/2" high. Weighs 43 lbs. Here is a very Rare mid 1800's Cotton Thread Spool Cabinet to display and sell J& P Coats cotton thread. Made of oak and seems to be all complete except for three small knobs. Two on the roll up sides and one on the one drop open door at the bottom of one end. In original finish but has sealed with laquer to preserve the decals. TWO Antique J & P Coats Cotton Thread Spool Cabinets Oak Country Store Display's
Hello. My dogs don't go with the auction but they are available for stud service. LOL OK everyone knows what these are. How often do you see a pair of them though? AS FOUND. The condition of both are excellent and unmolested. Original finish to both, orig decals, glass, etc. All doors and tambors function perfectly and all are complete. These were pampered end tables for the last 50+ yrs, straight out of a residence, never been in an antique shop! Offered for free pickup near Cooperstown NY. I will quote for insured shipping on an individual basis at the buyers sole expense. Now the flaws: one small oak knob(pull) is missing. There is some candle wax(red) inside one cabinet top. Should clean easily but I have not done it so I am mentioning it. One top oak lid looks to be split from age it might have been glued at some point or possibly ... morenot. Hard to tell.It is not warped at all, in fact nothing is warped on any hinged openings. It is usable and not really noticable unless you really look. Easy repair for experienced woodworker, but sold as is so you be the judge! These are really exceptional pieces and you would be hard pressed to find another in as good cond. Much less two of them. I believe this is a 1880's to 1900's oak Coats or J&P Coats spool cotton or thread cabinet. Also written as J. P. Coats and J P Coats. Overall it is in great condition for its age. It seems complete. Measures 20 x 30 x 15 inches tall. If you want more pictures please let me know. There are a few nicks on the top's edges. As well as a few dings on the top. Please remember it is over 120 years old, so it isn't perfect. The drawers are a bit loose in terms of the dove joints, but it is pretty solid for it's age. I would say for its age. Large two drawer Clark's Spool Cabinet. Walnut. Measures approximately 22.5" top, length 15.5" plus pulls makes 16 inches, 7.5" tall. The drawers have glass inserts with red backing and letters look like gold color. Pulls are original with the letters O.N.T. and decoration, all still intact. All original, shows wear on top. Smudge spot on glass partially covering the T and O on Cotton. I have not tried to remove it.

A nice Rare Antique Clarks Mile- End Spool Cotton Childs Bank. The bank is made of wood with inlays on the top. It measures 4 1/8 inches long by 2 7/8 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches deep. the bank is secured by two tacks in the bottom. The tacks were missing. A great old rare piece.

It has five drawers, top three have dividers intact. Bottom two do not have dividers and bottom drawer has a lovely wood surface. It is 18.5 ins wide, 13.5 ins tall, and 16 ins deep. The cabinet is made of what appears to be walnut or some dark wood. The cabinet is original and shows its normal wear and blemishes for a display cabinet this age. You are bidding on a Vintage Antique Clarks O.N.T. Spoil Cotton Display Cabinet. This is a incredibly beautiful antique Spool Cotton cabinet. This was produced by Clarks O.N.T. around the turn of the century and appears to be made from oak. The cabinet has two big drawers and it also has dividers in it that could have been added later and may not have been a part of it originally. This cabinet has incredibly cool decorative knobs and I'm not real sure what they are made of. They are heavy and could be porcelain or glass. Please check the pictures. Antique Vintage Richardson Silk Cotton Thread Store Display Case Spool Cabinet
Antique spool display case from Richardson Silk. Appears to be oak with glass inserts on two of the three drawer fronts(the bottom panel is the company name in gold lettering) Very sturdy and square, glass is in great shape and secured by decorative metal brackets. The middle drawer ledge is a little chewed up, and the handle is missing; this could be repaired, although extra drawers for these cabinets do periodically show up on eBay, so you may wish to replace it with another antique drawer. Wear to the exterior of the cabinet(most likely from decades of use in a small retail setting: corner drugstore, mercantile, etc) but still in nice condition considering its age. All the various antique threads and sewing accessories shown in the drawers are included in this sale. Overall dimensions are 14-5/8" wide. 15-1/4" deep(not including ... morehandles) and 8-1/8" high. Will be carefully packaged in new materials for shipment.
