Vintage Wood Stand Hang Curio Cabinet Display Shelf Table Top or Wall
Here is a nice old wood table top or wall hanging small curio cabinet display shelf. Stands 17" tall to the top of finials on top. 14" wide, and 4 1/2" deep. Three open shelfs on each end, and three shelfs in the middle with a glass door. Four wood feet are the same design as the finials on top of cabinet. I'm not sure what kind of wood it is. I would say the finish is a darker oak. Shelfs and frame is a good sturdy wood, the backing is a thinner type. It stands about 15 1/2" high with an approximately 9" square top and bottom and 7" square base; the inside is 5" x 5" on the floor x 11 1/2 high. The case is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and there is a metal. Possibly brass handle for the door; the door is missing the latch but stays closed without it and could be replaced. There is a tiny bit of verdigris on one of the fittings on the base and I didn't clean it but I did mostly clean the case although a bit of dust still remains. Two very unusual. Victorian shoe display stands, out of a old Victorian estate that had been locked up for years. They have the old original off white paint and no damage. The tallest measures 21 inches tall and the other one is 16 inches tall. the shoe holders are the same at 6 1/2 inches and both have the same size bases at 6 1/4 inches. Each one has different notches for different angles to display shoes. These stands were on the counters back in the early 1900s for displaying shoes for sale, just like the old iron ones for hat displays but these hardly ever come up for sale. Questions are welcome!
