I do not know what kind of wood it is, but my guess is mahogany because that is what was generally used about this time period. It has the Parker Nameplate and ... morehas 2 levels for lit display. It measures 48" in length x 24" deep x 38-1/8" high. There is a sticker on the back that reads: Union Made. United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Issued by Authority of, Labor Omnia Vincit, Organized 1881, Registered 1900" pictured) The back side of the cabinet has 2 drawers across the bottom. Above that are 2 glass sliding doors that go to the bottom level of the display. And above that are the 3 pull-out display drawers that go to the top level of the display. There are locks on each drawer- I don't have the key. Drawers are unlocked. The glass is cracked on the right side of the top portion of the cabinet(as you can see in the picture) It is taped- but still holds much weight. And. The glass is missing on one of the sides. This is a lighted display, but I don't know if it's working. Some of the red velvet lining is in decent condition, and some is not. There is handwriting on some of the wood in the back of the cabinet(pictured) This cabinet was used in a store for many years by the famous Marilyn, The Hubcap Queen. The handwriting is hers. A beautifully shaped antique wooden display cabinet in solid condition measuring 23" tall. 13" wide and 6.5" deep. The wood looks like it might be pecan. The door has three panels of bowed glass and one movable shelf with two settings. The only thing wrong with it that I can see is that the door doesn't close completely flush on the bottom. This fabulous antique showcase was patented in 19 05 by the Grand Rapids Showcase company. It is seriously constructed of tiger oak and has the or iginal wavy glass. The one pictured was part of a seri es of twelve matching cabinets that were connected side by side next to each other. Hence the sides are open since they are butted up to the side of the one next to it. The one in the first several pictures has the side panels. The rest are as the on in the last four pictures with no sides. Nice vintage oak paneling or glass can be added to the sides if you would l ike to use one as an individual unit. The glass door of each opens out and s lides into the cabinet on the right hand side. Much like a folding door. The back of each cabinet is bead board with the original finish. Great patina! Highland Park, Mich- C.L. Vanerstrom Architect- 167 Davison Ave-W-H.P. Wood Case is in two parts that come apart to gain access to the house plans inside which are visible through the glass- one part is the removable cover. Wood framed with glass panel that covers the house plans and the other part is the backing which fits ... moreinto the cover When the cover is removed. The inside backing is 2 pieces, hinged together and covered with off-white flannel(stained) that faces the inside, and just plain wood on the outside When case is assembled. There are two sticks on the back that rotate and fit under cleats attached to the cover that hold the whole thing together(one cleat is missing) It appears to be a case to bring to the jobsite. Or to be kept at the jobsite to hold the architectural drawings The house plans are for a rather modest home. 32 feet by 24 feet) so maybe it was a project rather than actual real house plans? Antique Oak Spool/Thread Cabinet Goff's Best Braid 3 Drawer Case/Chest
Size is 17" wide by 18" deep at the base. 17 5/8" wide by 18 1/8" deep at the top. 11" tall. It is missing 1 small decorative block on the front left side top and a narrow 3/16" wide strip at the right rear edge. That strip would be an easy to find replacement as they used the same strips to hold in backs of mirrors and glass in doors of cabinets. I don't know if the dropped drawer pulls are original or not but were on it when I bought the cabinet out of an estate 20 years ago. Drawers are sound and solid and finger jointed all around. The lettering on the front drawers is on tin. Finish,lettering and advertising on the rear look all original to me. It is solid oak-not veneer. Not perfect but a nice chest. Antique Glass Cheese Preserver Canister, 1800's-1900's General Store-Kitchen
Excellent. Clean condition, no chips, cracks or rough spots on the base, and just a few expected tiny usage knicks on the bottom ridge of the top lid. The lid is marked with raised lettering, but it is faint. It reads"Sanitary Cheese Preserver, Remove Lid Daily, Directions: Place one third pint of vinegar and one tablespoon of salt in bottom, slightly dilute with water" The bottom of the canister has 1/2" raised glass bars to keep your cheese elevated above the preserving liquid. There are no dates on this particular jar. But I've had two others, almost identical, also called Sanitary Cheese Preservers or Keepers, and they were both dated 1895, so I'm assigning that general age to this piece. I'm told they were used in the old iceboxes in homes and as displays in small local general stores or mercantiles. The glass ... moreis thick, with some air bubbles within the walls, both on the lid and the bottom. The bottom jar measures 7 1/2" in diameter and is about 5 1/4" deep. With the lid and the knob it stands about 6 1/2" tall. There is a slight difference in the color of the glass.the lid has an amethyst cast and the bottom a greenish cast. Up for auction is an antique spool cabinet display case made of English Oak with miscellaneous woven double embroidered lettering boxes inside. The front of this case reads CASH'S WOVEN DOUBLE LETTERS and measures 18" tall. 17 1/2" long, 5" deep and weighs 15 lbs. I believe this was used at Cash's Of Ireland Department Store. The case itself shows definate wear due to age. The front lower right side of the glass is cracked and the case has a few chips as can be seen in the pictures. The back of this case has an original picture of two woman and a child. The back has a top latch that opens to dispense the boxes that enclose the embroidered letters. The front of each yellow colored box reads Cash's Hemstitch Frillings for trimming Ladies& Children's Underclothing, also for Pillow Case's, Sheets.etc. Each ... moreone of these boxes measures 3" long and 1" wide. For your consideration is this Primitive Antique Clarks O.N.T. 2 Drawer Spool Chest Sewing Cabinet. This cabinet is primitively constructed with a fine hardwood and primitive hardware. It is solid wood and appears to be walnut. It features 2 drawers with glass advertising. The top drawer reads"Clark's O.N.T" The bottom drawer reads"Spool Cotton" Both glass areas feature a gold background with black lettering. The handles are also gold in color to match the background of the glass. This cabinet has been mounted to a very nice turned leg base that is made out of the same wood as the cabinet. I have for bid an Antique Victorian Brass& Tinted Amber Beveled Glass Jewelry Display Casket. It measures 9 1/2" side to side. 6 1/2" front to back and 4 7/8" tall. It has beautiful Ornate Floral Brass Filigree with Large Tulip Flowers on each end. There are 5 Tinted Amber Beveled Glass Panels, the pictures make the tint look dark Amber because of the flash, they are actually a lighter Amber Color in person. It has a tan cushion bottom that is in pretty nice condition. There are no cracks or chips in the glass and the brass is in excellent condition, hinged lid is working fine. It has four ornate legs, it does have a nice aged patina which I think adds character to the piece. Late 1800's or very early 1900's. U.S. buyers to pay $10.00 S/H, it weighs approx. 2 1/2 pounds. Great"National Biscuit Company" tin display case purchased at Kutztown. Pennsylvania in the 1980's. It is 11 1/2 inches tall and 10 1/4 inches wide with an insert of a green background and white lettering stating"NATIONAL BISCUIT COMPANY" with a small amount of flaking of paint due to age. It is tin and several areas have small dents. Inside of box below lettering is an opening with a thick piece of glass approximately 1/8 inch thick that is loose but has two metal brackets in bottom of tin and a metal latch above glass for placement. There are a few places inside box and on bottom that has some rust but overall is in great condition. It was displayed for several years at a family owned grocery store and never used other than for display. Thank you for looking and ask if questions.

I can just imagine the excitement walking up to a jewelry store window and seeing a beautiful necklace or pin displayed on these beautiful stands. I can combine shipping charges if you win more than one auction. These are from the early part of the 20th century. Some of them are missing their velvet insert but it wouldn't be too difficult to wrap and glue a small piece of velvet around a piece of cardboard and set it inside the ones that are missing theirs. The velvet inserts by the way that ARE included. Are stiff from age, but you could still pin a lovely brooch or earrings to the fabric. The color of the original velvet is a dark burgundy. Side, and rear glass has the slight wavy look consistent with antique glass. The glass on top is quarter inch. Beveled glass. The two original shelves are each one solid board all the way across and contain a raised lip around the border. ... moreThey each sit on four original brackets spaced 29-30 inches apart and are capable of holding significant weight. As this display case is an antique over 100 years old. It has some minor issues, albeit only cosmetic ones that don't affect functionality or durability. As stated. One side glass panel is not original to the piece. Also. There must have originally been a third door on the back of the case; now there are two with the same width of space for access. Both doors move very easily back and forth. The glass on one back door has a small crack in it near the indented finger slot. But remains intact. One top beveled glass panel has a chip on one back corner and the other back corner of the same piece of glass was reconstructed. The other top beveled glass has two cup rings and a small area in the back section of cloudiness that appears to have been caused by a spill. It was really difficult to capture the cloudiness in an image. But if you look to the left, you can see it. Unfortunately. You can see reflections in the glass better than you can see the cloudiness. Rare Antique Pine Display Case with Glass and Felt Lining — Beautiful Condition!
Very nice antique display case. Wood is solid pine and was refinished with several coats of satin varnish and polished with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Glass is original and is held in place with thin wood stops. Hinges are brass colored metal and knob on front of case is solid brass. The 10 recesses are lined with new felt. Bottom of case is covered with red velvet. Not sure what the case would display— the pictured coin is smaller than the opening(COIN NOT INCLUDED IN PURCHASE) Some suggestions besides coin display case are pocket watches or jewelry. The case measures 11 7/8" long x 5 1/4" deep x 1 1/8" tall. The display recesses are 1 3/4" wide by 1/4" deep. Top frame is assembled using fingerjoints. Bottom is solid piece of wood. This was used as the postal counter. There is a one large and sturdy drawer with the original pulls. It once held two drawers. The smaller one has been removed to allow for chair space. This is made mixed woods of oak. Maple, pine and poplar. The top is tongue and groove maple and the sides and back are beaded tongue and groove. The counter has been cut down fromits original size. It makes a great desk for tight spaces and also makes a fabulous statement as sofa table or entrance table. Maintains its original patina. Dates from the early 1880's. Solid Pine Antique Display Case. In beautiful shape. Nice for hanging on a wall. This solid pine display case is 41" tall by 24" wide by 4" deep. Glass(display area) is 16" wide by 33" tall. Very clean and the glass is old as it's a bit wavy(as you can see from the reflection of my house! The case came with a key which fits the hole, but the locking mechanism seems to be jammed. It also has a wooden toggle to keep the front closed. The inner back where you would display items is also pine and has rows of small perfect round holes from another era that was for? Of course you could also cover the wood with another material or fabric. This is a great case for displaying necklaces, keys, locks, documents, etc. The top has a cornice which looks nice hanging, but you might be able to remove it for use as a counter top ... moredisplay case as well. Oak framed. Glass display case made by The Lutke Manufacturing Company in Portland. Oregon I've owned this display case for a quite a long time but unfortunately no longer have anywhere to store it. There are no cracks in the glass. All 4 sliding doors work great but may need a little lubrication for a smoother slide. Antique Slant Front Store Counter Candy Jar Display Canister Bubbles in Glass
Antique large primitive store counter candy jar. It has a slant front and rounded back end. Sides. Top, and bottom have flat stops. It is 11" deep x 7-1/2" tall x 6" wide. It has many inperfections in the glass, ie, bubbles, wavy stops as old glass often has. It is a heavy thick glass. The rubber gasket to the lid is gone, if it ever had one. It is in very good antique condition no cracks, or chips that I could see, but there is some use rubbing and scratches which only add to its character. antique VT country store DYO-LA Dye CABINET Dual tin lithos AS FOUND w/contents
Here's a very rare find being an honest AS FOUND country store DYE display cabinet. Complete with it's 1920's vintage new old stock contents. It's just as it came out of the store here in Northern Vermont. This DYO-LA Dye was made in Burlington VT and came from the Scampy Dane Store in West Charleston Vermont where was on display there, or in storage there, for many decades until the store closed in the mid-1990's. The cabinet is made of solid hardwood and is cherry color and could be cherry wood. The ORIGINAL varnish finish shows some loss on the door stiles and sides but is definitely the original one. It measures about 11" by 16" and is 7.5" deep. This is a rare model having the tin lithograph panels on both the front and back of the cabinet. It sat on the store counter with the door towards the clerk ... moreand the customer could still see the panel on the front. The front panel in in better condition than the back panel. It shows a couple rust spots and limited paint loss. The front panel is about perfect. Both have bright vibrant colors. Inside the door is a big"SPECIAL NOTICE TO DEALER" card. The store this cabinet came from was a genuine time capsule that ran continuously with various owners from the 1890's until the death of Scampy Dane in the mid 1990's. This cabinet was part of that time capsule and it retains is full contents of various dyes. Included are about 24 little boxes of"Sunset Soap Dye" and about 20 envelopes of the original DYO-LA dyes. In a side compartment are the original dealers color cards, samples and advertising emphemera. It's kind of dirty and dusty, just as it came from the store and in storage since. A good cleaning will make the whole thing better I'm sure. The display cabinet is in EXCELLENT condition and would be tough to find a better example. $30.00 SHIPPING IN A BOX. We are not certain of its original history but believe it to be from the late 1800's. Comes with 3 drawers and 2 glass shelves for display. The drawers and shelves can switched from one end to the other. The front side is purely for display and the backside has a cubby on the right end that cannot be viewed from the front. Great for supplies. Just above the cubby a cash drawer housed with slots for different bills and change. Just above this drawer is a lid with a slot for receipts or whatever you choose. It can be lifted to gain entry to the receipts as well.
