Very nice antique 1890-1900 era tin and glass with a cardboard base display case. The only distractions for this case are two scratches in the glass on the hinged lid. The rest of the glass and the metal are problem free. It has a loose black piece of felt on the inside. The cardboard base has some fading but is structurally sound. The bottom has it's original 4 feet. The hinge for the lid works just as it should. The case measures 3 7/8" tall. 10 7/8" wide and is 4 1/2" deep. I have listed $12.00 for shipping. I am basing this on coast-to-coast shipping. If you are closer to the East Coast shipping should be less. The soda can is to provide scale and is not included. This old oak case was probably used in a Rexall drug store in the early 1900’s. Holding nibs for ink dip and/or fountain pens. It will make a beautiful display case for small collectibles. The case measures at the base 14 1/2” long by 12 1/2” wide. And 2” high. The lid hinges at the right-hand end, with a hook closure at the opposite end. There are twelve 3” x 2 ¼” compartments, and one 12 ½” x 2 ¾” compartment at the back. The smaller compartments are labeled for REXALL Pen nibs of different styles and sizes. A few of the paper labels are missing or damaged. The oak is in good condition, and the finish is also in good condition, showing some minor wear consistent with age and normal use. A very old original counter/table top display case with a glass shelf. 5 sided glass with the bottom being wood. Looks to be oak but am not sure. It is old and showing use wear and patina. Top glass is cracked. Is a little out of square on corner but door will shut and stay shut. Has some nicks on wood. Can be easily reconditioned if wanted to restore it. Still will compliment anything you want to display just as it is. See pics for a view of condition. Measures 16" long. 11 1/4" wide and 17 1/4" tall. Weighs a little over 14 pounds. Up for bid is an outstanding antique Victorian era general store counter top spool cabinet made by the Richardson Silk Co. There are a total of 3 drawers. The unit measures approximately 14-1/2" inches wide by 16 inches long by 7-1/2" inches tall. Overall the unit is in excellent condition. The cabinet appears to be made out of finished oak. The front. Sides and top have general light scratching consistent with age and use, but no abuse. All of the drawers are present with the cabinet as well as the hardware for each drawer. Drawers work well and do not stick. The glass fronts on the drawers are very thick and are free of cracks, chips or scratching. The drawer pulls appear original. 19th C. Antique DOVETAILED WOODEN COUNTER GLASS TOP DISPLAY CASE w/Brass Lock A mid 19th century wooden display case with 3 section glass hinged lid. The base is of dovetail construction with single board sides and 2 tongue& groove bottom boards. The 3 section glass top is attached to the base with iron hinges. The glass dividers are mortised and pegged. It has a brass lock and latch hook. Measurements: Height: 7” Width: 48-3/4” Depth: 23” The interior has been painted white as you can see in the pictures. There are old splits in the wood where the screws attach the hinges but the lid is still held securely in place with little or no play. The glass probably isn’t original but it is quite early as it is wavy. The glass has some wear with scratches. One piece has a small edge chip. Here's a beautiful old counter top display case. It measures 21 1/4" wide. 17 1/4" front to back and 6 1/2" tall. The bottom board is not original, however it works well with the rest of the old case. It has thick and heavy beveled glass panels that are perfect, no chips or cracks. The wood frame has dings, nicks, scratches and finish wear. None of these flaws are very major and with a real good cleaning, it will look great. Antique Vintage Early 1900s Small Counter Top Country General Store Display Case
I have up for sale a very nice vintage circa 1st quarter of the 20th Century/ early 1900s A. STEIN& CO. counter top display case. A. Stein sold Men's belts and suspenders.Women's foundation garments, and is best known for the PARIS GARTER, the PERMA LIFT BRA& GIRDLE. This display case was used for displaying one of these products not sure which one to be honest. The back of the case has a measurement display printed on the upper portion. The case would date prior to 1931 as the company sold to Kayser- Roth Corp in 1931. It opens from the back side. Is hinged with a small knob for pulling the door up. The case measures approx 18-3/4" long is made of wood. Unsure of the exact wood- but it is not oak, walnut, nor mahogany. The flat glass panels are in excellent shape. It measures approx 7-3/4" in the back and slants ... moredown to approx 5-1/2" in the front, its approx 6-1/2" deep on the base and weighs approx 5-1/2 lbs as it sits. The owner has a soft fabric piece set on the bottom inside. The case is in very good condition- great overall shape with some normal minor light wear. Kendallville Indiana in the late teens or early 1920's. It is the original old glass, with very thick heavy glass on top. It is a slant top. It is 16 3/8" long& just under 9" wide and 4" deep at the top slanting down to 3" These are outside measurements. It is a locking case. Back flips down. The lock is working but is loose and needs a little work. Sometimes have to monkey a little to get lock to work, but it does work. The key is unmarked, may not be original. It does not appear to have been refinished and I believe all glass is original to the piece. A metal label from the maker is on the back side of the case. Condition: Their is a small. Shallow ... moreglass chip on the back corner and another shallow chip on a front corner. Both are very shallow& could be polished out is desired. We like it just as it is. Oak General Store Checkout Counter - with marble top
Oak General Store Checkout Counter- with detached marble top. I was told this piece was a candy counter that survived the Chicago fire. Hmmmmm… not sure about that. But I think this is late 1800’s or early 1900’s. It came to me as a gift from someone who bought it at an antique store that closed in Saint Paul, MN more than 40 years ago. This piece had a dark burgundy finish when I received it. I stripped the dark finish off and applied shellac. The column pieces on each side are not original however the“carved” capitals for these columns are original, but upon stripping them and close inspection they do not seem to be wood. I do not know what they are made of. There is one missing“egg and dart” molding on the right side at the top. There are also several chipped off“eggs” on the other moldings(please see pictures) The counter is an antique ... moreand therefore might have other blemishes. It is in very nice condition, but of course it has wear from lots of use. It is sold as is. The back is OPEN with a bottom and middle shelf, plus cash drawer. Dimensions of the counter are approximately 7’ long, 2’ deep and 33.5" high. I write approximately because my measurements could be off by ¼ of an inch. I listed this with ebay's freight shipper option. I also offer FREE LOCAL PICK UP. In addition, I am willing to meet with two different shipper/packers of your choice at a specific time so that you can get two bids on having this packed and shipped to you. I will also meet with your final shipper/packer of choice one more time so that the packer/shipper you choose can pick it up and ship to you. Please note that this is a very heavy item.
