This is it! Circa 1904, manufactured in Columbus, Ohio by The Sun Manufacturing Company, this case is constructed of solid oak in original finish and original glass except for one side panel. The base of the case on the front and sides is indented. Allowing your customers to get a close-up view of your display. The front. Side, and rear glass has the slight wavy look consistent with antique glass. The glass on top is quarter inch. Beveled glass. The two original shelves are each one solid board all the way across and contain a raised lip around the border. ... moreThey each sit on four original brackets spaced 29-30 inches apart and are capable of holding significant weight. As this display case is an antique over 100 years old. It has some minor issues, albeit only cosmetic ones that don't affect functionality or durability. As stated. One side glass panel is not original to the piece. Also. There must have originally been a third door on the back of the case; now there are two with the same width of space for access. Both doors move very easily back and forth. The glass on one back door has a small crack in it near the indented finger slot. But remains intact. One top beveled glass panel has a chip on one back corner and the other back corner of the same piece of glass was reconstructed. The other top beveled glass has two cup rings and a small area in the back section of cloudiness that appears to have been caused by a spill. It was really difficult to capture the cloudiness in an image. But if you look to the left, you can see it. Unfortunately. You can see reflections in the glass better than you can see the cloudiness. There are no cracks in the glass. All 4 sliding doors work great but may need a little lubrication for a smoother slide. Antique SEALPACKERCHIEF Mens Handkerchief Oak Wood Glass Countertop Display Case For your consideration we have one of the best examples of an antique SEALPACKERCHIEF display case with original labels ever available. The Sealpackerchief Company was founded in 1908 and offered clothiers and haberdasheries the use of the display case as long as it was used solely to display and sell their sealed packages of handkerchiefs. The front cream. Red and gold decal shows the New York(N.Y. Trademark and shows, Patented July 27, 1909, March 10 1914 and Dec 17, 1918. The inside red and gold decal reads, This case is loaned with the understanding that it be used only for the display of Sealpackerchief" as well as"The International Handkerchief Manufacturing Company of New York" as well as, Trade Mark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. The two sides. Door ... moreand bottom are solid 5/8" oak, the top and front are glass have no sharp edges. The back is also made of solid oak held in place by three small brass hinges that have heavy patina on them. The bottom of the back door has a half ball shape of brass that sits in a brass holder in the bottom to keep the back door secure if the door would be closed all the way. The top of the sides each have a hole approximately 1-1/2" from the back where the display had a dowle rod display to hold their sample handkerchiefs. This piece is hardly ever found intact with these cases anymore since they are so fragile. If you care to reproduce one. Please see the enclosed picture have attached with the listing for a visual reference. The display rack that would have attached to this case is not included. Please feel free to copy this old advertisement piece for your collection. Condition: The Interior Decal: Is almost perfect. 99+% intact with only minor surface dirt on it and some silver peeking out in two spots that I can see where the gold foil has come off. This beautiful display case came from Warden's Grocery(ca 1930's) in Bertram and has been lovingly cared for by the daughter ever since. It is in excellent condition. As you can see in the photos. The measurements are 48" wide, 47" high, and the depth ranges from 17 to 25 inches. The back glass rolls easily to open the case. It even has one of the original candy stickers still on it. All the glass on the doors and sides are original and seeded. The glass shelf mid-way has been replaced. For sale is a massive glass. Oak, and granite display case by Wilmarth, makers of large display units around the turn of the century. Overall, it measures 10 feet long, 26" deep, and 42" tall. It features 30 drawers that to the best of our knowledge were used to display gloves. The piece has its imperfections brought on by age and use, including a cracked granite panel in the bottom front, some chipping around the edges of the glass panels, and a veneer of shallow scratches on the surface of the top. ANTIQUE GRAND RAPIDS CLOTHING OAK SHOWCASE WITH ORIGINAL WAVY GLASS
This fabulous antique showcase was patented in 1905 by the Grand Rapids Showcase company. It is seriously constructed of oak and has the original wavy glass. The one pictured was part of a series of twelve matching cabinets that were connected side by side next to each other. Hence the sides are open since they are butted up to the side of the one next to it. The one in the first several pictures has the side panels. The rest are as the on in the last four pictures with no sides. Nice vintage oak paneling or glass can be added to the sides if you would like to use one as an individual unit. The glass door of each opens out and slides into the cabinet on the right hand side. Much like a folding door. The back of each cabinet is bead board with the original finish. There are two clothing racks in each of these cabinets. One at the top and one ... morehalf way up. Each of the racks is solid cast bronze with nickel plate. The rack slides out so you can see the blouses. Jackets or other items more readily. The cabinets need some restoration such as tightening up the joints and refinishing the wood. Old Retail Store Counter Top REXALL PENS Oak & Glass Display Case
This old oak case was probably used in a Rexall drug store in the early 1900’s. Holding nibs for ink dip and/or fountain pens. It will make a beautiful display case for small collectibles. The case measures at the base 14 1/2” long by 12 1/2” wide. And 2” high. The lid hinges at the right-hand end, with a hook closure at the opposite end. There are twelve 3” x 2 ¼” compartments, and one 12 ½” x 2 ¾” compartment at the back. The smaller compartments are labeled for REXALL Pen nibs of different styles and sizes. A few of the paper labels are missing or damaged. The oak is in good condition, and the finish is also in good condition, showing some minor wear consistent with age and normal use. This is an extremely rare find. I have searched the internet. And had the western ky museum check on this item and we can not find one anywhere. I have found a few similar to this one that were priced from $1200.00 to $2500.00. It measures 20 x 20 x 13. Was manufactured by a company called Crescent Mfg. Co. in Louisville Ky. It is in absolutely mint condition. This was my grandfathers that owned a department store in Liberty, Ky. in the early 1900's. I have estimated the shipping as best as possible. Up for auction is an antique oak display case. Has a wavy glass lid that does not seem to match the bottom. The wood looks darker on the lid than the base. And it does not match up evenly(see last two photos) Most likely the old lid broke and this one was an old replacement. The base measures 12.5" by 15.5" The lid measures 10.75" by 14" The case is 3" deep. There are some blemishes to the wood along the edges, this includes some scratches and chips, nothing major. The glass is wavy with no cracks or chips but does have some surface scratches as well. Right now the glass needs one more nail to keep it even but I will leave that up to the new owner. ANTIQUE OAK DISPLAY CASE. PETITE WAVY SEED GLASS, CUTE! This little display case is sweet& petite. full of old country-store-style history& charm. It's got the old wavy glass with the stretched fine bubbles here& there if you look very closely, sometimes called seed-glass. It's the hallmark of an era placing this cabinet perhaps late 1800's. Possibly even the front pane was replaced in that vintage, as it's cut a tiny bit short(could that have been an air-vent for some living specimen that the Victorians were so fond of collecting? Nice molding along the base gives this case an elegant, classical feel. This would be nice for displaying specimen's. Like that incredible Nautilus Shell, or the bird skeleton you found, or some other fascinating item to keep highlighted behind glass. It has its'character' ... moreto be sure. Sees a bit delicate. Slightly rickety, but appears to be holding together. Likely this is due to its light-weight construction. Clearly an effort was made to minimize the framing around the glass on the front face& sides. The frame here is made of round oak dowel-type moldings, with grooves cut the long way at right angles to receive the glass. The wood was looking about as old as its 125 years or more, so we freshened that up with some fine Danish oil& wax. It's looking quite nice, a specimen itself! Measures about 16" high. 18" wide& 11" deep(including the base molding, which adds about an inch on three sides) We've shown this atop the other. Larger display case listed, which is just about the opposite in construction being stout& strong& only the front is glass. But opposites do in this case attract, they seem to go well together, as funky a pair as they are. It is also marked with a small decal on the back with the words"Made in the USA by the Florence Co. Florence, Massachusetts. There are 9 glass front drawers and one oak drawer with metal spool holders in the backs of all 9 glass front drawers. All original with all original pulls. Excellent used antique condition as shown in the photos. It does have some crayon writing in a couple of the drawers- done by a child at some point and likely removable but this does not deter from the overall beauty of the display. Up for bid is an outstanding antique Victorian era general store counter top spool cabinet made by the Richardson Silk Co. There are a total of 3 drawers. The unit measures approximately 14-1/2" inches wide by 16 inches long by 7-1/2" inches tall. Overall the unit is in excellent condition. The cabinet appears to be made out of finished oak. The front. Sides and top have general light scratching consistent with age and use, but no abuse. All of the drawers are present with the cabinet as well as the hardware for each drawer. Drawers work well and do not stick. The glass fronts on the drawers are very thick and are free of cracks, chips or scratching. The drawer pulls appear original. Unique Antique Oak Tabletop Four Sided Glass Oak Doll Curio Display Case On Stand Welcome to this auction for a wonderful old oak tabletop display case with four glass sides uniquely built on a stand with brass fittings on the corners. It stands about 15 1/2" high with an approximately 9" square top and bottom and 7" square base; the inside is 5" x 5" on the floor x 11 1/2 high. The case is in excellent condition with no cracks or chips and there is a metal. Possibly brass handle for the door; the door is missing the latch but stays closed without it and could be replaced. There is a tiny bit of verdigris on one of the fittings on the base and I didn't clean it but I did mostly clean the case although a bit of dust still remains. This would make a great case for a special doll or another tall treasure but it could ... morebe made to hold many small treasures with the addition of shelves even though it's a nice piece of folk art all by itself. This old cabinet is a wonderful collectible that is usable still today. Inside the wood case there is a removable black velvet piece. To open the glass lid you have to push a little round metal knob sticking out of the left side. It measures 15" tall and 10 1/2" wide. The case portion measures 13" x 9 1/4" and is about 1 1/2" deep. This piece is in very good. Sturdy condition but does have some normal wear. There are some scratches and nicks on the wood, a few spots, a crack on the back, there are two tiny nicks and a thin, short scratch on the mirror, there are a couple scuff marks on the velvet piece and a little bigger than ... morepea size residue spot on the edge of the velvet piece. This is a fabulous little display cabinet that I used for many years in my home. It measures 15 ¼” across and stands 14 ½” tall. The depth is 10” The old glass is wavy and there is an oval bubble in the top piece. The shelf is made from chipped glass with tape on the backside to prevent injury. There is a wooden knob on the door. It does not lock. The oak has visible grain lines. It is difficult to find these beautiful old display cases in excellent condition like this one. This six feet counter display case was used in the McReynolds Store in Quality. KY that closed its doors almost 40 years ago. The finish is not perfect. But excellent for its age. The stunning oak case is solid showing no repairs. A small triangular section of oak is missing from the frame of the back of one sliding door as shown in the photo. The showcase sports a brass manufacturing tag. Geo. E. Allison, St. Louis. It is 72 inches long. 28 inches wide, and 17.5 inches tall. The case has a blue oil cloth covering the interior base. The wavy glass is original and without cracks or breaks. The sliding doors with finger pulls have the original mirror showing some age flaws but no cracks or breaks. I am not sure of the age. This vintage display case is seven feet long or 84 inches. 28 inches deep, and 17 inches tall. The glass is all original telling the story of its use. The top left glass is dulled from items being dragged over its surface. The top right glass shows less wear. But has a crack in the corner.
