Early General Store Wood and Glass Display Case Showcase made by Charles Bodach
I am offering for the first time some unusual antiques from my personal collection. This is beautiful antique Charles Bodach Company"THE LEADING SHOW CASE HOUSE" Chicago as stated on the brass plate attached on the lower center front of the showcase. The Charles Bodach Company manufactured showcases here in Chicago dating back to the 1860's. This case measures 82” long. 22” depth and 18” tall. The inside of the back 3 sliding doors have original mirrored finish. The glass looks to be original too as it has the old waves and scattered very small internal bubbles in a few areas. It has an old light blue velvet material on the inside bottom. The case was well cared for over the years as someone made the beautiful wooden 4 leg stand that the case is set on. Very nice thick and heavy old tempered glass countertop display case for pie. Pastry, candies etc. It is in strong, tight good condition with some picking or specking on the chrome and it came clear up with steel wool and I will check. but the chrome is still shiny and looks pretty good. As mentioned above, it measures 37-1/2" in length, 10" front to back and 5" high. This is heavy so will take careful packaging and a large box.

Antique mahogany display table with glass top. This showcase makes a good cabinet for jewelry or other smalls. The large top drawer opens to get access to the contents. Below is two smaller storage drawers. The drawers need to be worked a little or waxed to slide better. The largest drawer would be sturdier with a better drawer bottom. Currently it is a thin piece of wood that over time has shrunk and warped a little. It is a beautiful cabinet- it just needs a cleaning and a little TLC. ANTIQUE GRAND RAPIDS CLOTHING OAK SHOWCASE WITH ORIGINAL WAVY GLASS
This fabulous antique showcase was patented in 1905 by the Grand Rapids Showcase company. It is seriously constructed of oak and has the original wavy glass. The one pictured was part of a series of twelve matching cabinets that were connected side by side next to each other. Hence the sides are open since they are butted up to the side of the one next to it. The one in the first several pictures has the side panels. The rest are as the on in the last four pictures with no sides. Nice vintage oak paneling or glass can be added to the sides if you would like to use one as an individual unit. The glass door of each opens out and slides into the cabinet on the right hand side. Much like a folding door. The back of each cabinet is bead board with the original finish. There are two clothing racks in each of these cabinets. One at the top and one ... morehalf way up. Each of the racks is solid cast bronze with nickel plate. The rack slides out so you can see the blouses. Jackets or other items more readily. The cabinets need some restoration such as tightening up the joints and refinishing the wood. Antique Curved Glass 36" Countertop Country Store Display Case Showcase cabinet
I have up for sale a very nice vintage/ antique circa 1900 Countertop Curved Glass Display Showcase cabinet- measures approx 35-1/2" long. 24" deep, 14" tall. These are outside dimensions. The case is made of wood with what appears to be a nickel plated metal covering over the wood. The back door is hinged- appears to be original as far as I can tell. There is no manufacturers markings anywhere that I can see. I have seen this same nickel over wood type case before.One was made by the Kansas City Showcase Works and the other by Stein Showcases of Rochester, NY. The case comes from the estate of a 90+ year old Antique Dealer used in her Antique shop. It is in Very Good Condition- the glass is basically excellent with no damages- nice and clear. Overall the case is in what I would call very good shape- looks great as well. It ... moreappears as though the inside wood was refinished many years back- meaning the inner surface and inside back door. The bottom boards have some minor separation. I notice that the back door needs some attention. The right side does not snug up close as the left side does, so it may need some adjusting. Also the latch plunger is just a bit short of catching onto the upper part of the latch that holds it and keeps it shut. I have this shown in my last pic. This is an old piece and there is normal age and use wear and imperfections. Vtg Art Deco Jewelry Store Watch Display Showcase Wood Curved Glass Door Cabinet
Fabulous vintage counter/table top showcase. I believe this was used in a jewelry store or department store to display jewelry or watches. It looks like a Japanese piece to me. Though I'm not sure. There are no hallmarks or manufacturer information. Made of wood. Glass on top and both sides.impressive large curved glass door in front. The frame of the door and trim of the base are lacquered in a brownish-red color. The sides may be made of walnut and I think some of the other wooden pieces used are lightweight balsa. It measures 20 1/2" tall. 18 1/2" wide and 10 1/2" deep. On the inside are 3 glass shelves.one solid, the length of the case, and two halves that are off-set and curved on the front. There is a raised platform in the bottom. The space between the top shelf and the top is 5" between the top shelf and the ... moretwo half shelves is 3 1/2" and 4 1/2" between the bottom and two middle shelves is 6 3/4" on both. The interior is lined in natural fiber paper with small square foiled flecks. The case is lightweight and rather fragile. Though still in excellent condition. There are very light spots from moisture on the interior paper, a few small tears in the inside top in the paper from nails. Light scuffs and marks on the outside from normal use. No damage on the exterior or glass. The door is a bit sticky.you have to be careful when opening and closing.the lower right corner has to be guided to keep it from binding. Thanks for looking.

Vintage 1920's O C Hawkes Birmingham L SHOWCASE This is a vintage circa 1920's wood and glass display case made by O. C. Hawkes Birmingham L. that was purchased many. Many years ago from an old US department store that closed its doors. I don't know if the glass is all original, but it is the same as when I bought it 40 years ago and there is no damage to the glass panes. I am not an authority on wood, but my guess is mahogany, as the grain and color are very similar to my old player piano. There are glass panels on 5 sides, including the top. There are four thin plate glass shelves. One has a chip on one corner. There are 12 metal rung slots on each side to slide in up to 12 glass pieces making up to 13 shelves. If you need more shelves, they can easily be cut in a glass store. The piece has typical wear and tear to the wood ... moresurface and finish, but overall is pretty good condition. It has the original hardware latch and some one added a padlock hasp. It was moved once as there are two holes above it. There is a metal plate placed on the base that says O. C. The crown molding at the top matches the base in a lovely light honey colored maple or poplar. At the top of two sides are ventilation holes to allow the cheese to breathe. Missing on the base is a lazy susan. The base and the top appear to be pine. A unique roll wood back has its original leather straps. A great little iron pull allows the back to move up and down with one finger. The glass is original without cracks or breaks. The wood is also in very good condition considering its age. This six feet counter display case was used in the McReynolds Store in Quality. KY that closed its doors almost 40 years ago. The finish is not perfect. But excellent for its age. The stunning oak case is solid showing no repairs. A small triangular section of oak is missing from the frame of the back of one sliding door as shown in the photo. This is a late 1800's counter top display with pressed german silver over wood.German silver is an alloy brass that polishes out to look like nickel or silver.I purchased this display case with another one I restored which is pictured as well and for sale if you check my other ebay listings.I purchased them in Fayetteville NC.The case was in need of major polishing.I also installed new dark blue velvet for the bottom.I spent close to 30 hours polishing out the tarnish in the metal which was almost black-it was not a good looking patina.As you can see in the pictures-there are numerous dents.Scratches in the metal.The original doors were missing so I made 3 new sliding doors out of oak.I attached moulding to the inside of the doors and left space for 1/8" thick mirrors as an option if you wanted to add mirrors to the doors later.The ... moreperson I bought this from said that it came from an old pharmacy/soda/tobacco shop in Fayetteville.The store dated back into the late 1800's.The doors slide,not perfectly-but do slide open with little effort.The cabinet is not perfectly square so the doors stick a little.All of the top and side glass is wavy and has striations and bubbles-showing its true age-adding to the appeal of this display.The front 2 pieces of curved glass are original and have 100 + years of scratches from use.This gives the piece true character.This would be great for displaying jewelry,accessories,bakery goods,tobacco related items.toys.The dimensions are as follows: 71 1/2" Wide x 24" Deep x 13" high.This is a fragile piece and I would prefer only local pick up.If you live within 100 miles of NYC I can arrange delivery for a fee.If you want it shipped-you need to find your own shipper to pick it up.I live in an elevator building in Manhattan and I can help bring it to the curb.Buyer is responsible for his own pick up and shipping! Very nice golden Oak display case on legs with leveling feet. This showcase stands a total of 39 inches tall. The legs are 26 inches. The overall size of the display case is: 31 inches(front to back) and 49 inches wide. Inside, it is 27-1/2 inches front to back and 46-1/2 inches wide. The doors are glass sliding doors. The door side can be used as the front side or the back side. There is a decorative Oak skirt, between the legs, at the top of the leg base. The display case can be used with or without the base. This display is in very good condition.

Vintage Curio Wood/Glass Display Cabinet wood curio display cabinet that is versatile so you can use it on the tabletop or hang it on the wall. Two shelves on the inside. Door is glass paneled as well as the two side panels, nice inlay decoration on top, as well as nice columns on each side. Beautiful display for smalls. Overall the cabinet measures 19” wide by 25 3/4” high at the highest point x 6” deep. Looks to be very old. Shows like was restored at some point, inside looks good just need some cleaning.
