VINTAGE ANTIQUE STORE GENERAL STORE COUNTRY OAK PRODUCE DISPLAY FARMERS MARKET
This a very large substantial produce or product display for an antique store. General store, flower store or farmers market! It has a varsity of options in regards to configuration. Measures; 42" sq with all four leaves down. 66" sq with all four leaves up. Each of the 3 removable shelves are 11" deep and 40" long and about 3/4" thick. Stands about 29" tall to the top of the table and 47" tall with the top flipped up. The base lifts up and down with the aid of a metal bar that slips in to the frame. I believe it is oak. The legs certainly are and I'm pretty sure the slats and frame are too. There is some rust on the metal. A large amount of varnish has come off or is flaking off. Incredible antique oak and glass display case with light blue velvet and custom stand. The 2 sliding mirrored glass doors in the back have a really cool distressed patina. the showcase was made by the Houston showcase mfg corp and it is stamped on the underside. the glass has a wavy effect to it. Well built old unit- I'm guessing from the 1950's or 60's. The framing is oak and the panels are birch looking plywood veneer- the shelves are pine. The 8 1/2" x 44" glass front panels are missing- other side and top panels are included and are removable- 1/4" thickness. Has track for sliding doors- doors not available. Has a thin coat of black paint. Stands 42" tall- long part of"L" is 8' short part is 4' 20" wide- shelves are 16" wide. The kick plate on the long end is split and needs re-attached. This beautiful display case came from Warden's Grocery(ca 1930's) in Bertram and has been lovingly cared for by the daughter ever since. It is in excellent condition. As you can see in the photos. The measurements are 48" wide, 47" high, and the depth ranges from 17 to 25 inches. The back glass rolls easily to open the case. It even has one of the original candy stickers still on it. Antique Beautiful Solid Oak 2 Drawer Spool Cabinet (General Store)
You are viewing a beautiful Wm. Clark spool cabinet made of solid oak measuring 20" wide x 19" long x 7" high. I bought this wonderful cabinet 42 years ago in Ann Arbor Michigan and was told it came from a General Store in Ohio. It is clean and all original and has only been used for display in my home. It makes a great counter top display and is very sturdy and useful for any collection you may have. All 4 knobs are solid brass and original to the cabinet and both drawers are dovetailed. There is no replaced wood. No stains to the finish or significant damages to report. All sides and the bottom are original and in extremely good shape. Antique Store Counter Oak Sherer Gillett 15 Drawer
At auction is a antique store store counter made by Sherer Gillett Co. Chicago. USA. It is made of oak and has 15 drawers. Nine drawers are 23"long by 12" wide and 7" deep. Thats the inside measurments. Then theres 3 that are 23" by 14.5" wide by 13" deep.The last 3 are 23" by 14.5" by 9" deep. The counter top length is 97.5" long, and 28 and 1/4" wide by 33.5" high. It has normal wear and marks as the pictures show. But over all its very solid with a rich untouched patina. My age estimate is late 1800s to early 1900s. Again this is un refinished like other examples you might see, good honest wear. I and 3 other friends brought this home to my mother 40 years ago. Its been in our familys home since. But Im selling and moving so I decided to part with it. Ive searched the market and ... morehavent seen one in better untouched condition. All the drawers go in and out ok. And they do hold alot! You will see the picture of the drawer handles. The knobs you see top and bottom were there to hold the manilla paper. Written on the paper would be what was in side each drawer. The customer would open the drawer and retrive his or her purchases.The rack on the end was with it when I bought it. I believe it would have had the brown paper for wrapping up customer purchases. It either had two sizes of paper, or the top had a roll of string for wrapping. As you see its also worked good for paper towles. This is a round cylinder style oak Merrick’s spool cabinet that still has it’s original glass fronts and original finish. The glass advertises. Merrick’s Six Cord Soft Finish Spool Cotton. The cabinet stands 20″ high and the knob in the center is 2 1/4″ higher. The diameter is 18“ This cabinet is in great condition, with normal wear, except it is missing the bottom round that cabinet sits on. The previous owner used it as a side table and never even realized there was a piece missing. It was a family piece and thats how it came to her. Absolutely one of the most beautiful showcases I’ve seen. And the only one of this type and size I’ve ever seen. MUSEUM WORTHY Antique Oak Store Display Thread J.P. COATS SPOOL COTTON Roll-Top Sides 1864-5 This is an incredible store display dating to the Civil War era for J. P. Coats. My research indicates that displays were provided by the company free with the purchase of the spools. It is entirely made of oak and glass. With brass hinges on the doors and flaps, a huge, probably iron, screw on the bottom, and small metal nails. The view from the bottom shows dovetail fittings. It measures 22.5” tall, and is 16.25” by 21” at the base(including the decorative molding) Two opposite sides have“roll-top” type doors with wood knobs. They slide up and down smoothly. Both of these sides have decorative scrolls/ feathers impressed(carved? on each vertical edge(close up, photo 8) Both also have a large, gold-pained panel that has“J. P. Coats’ Spool Cotton. ... moreprinted in black, fancy letters. Below the roll-top door on one side is another gold-painted panel that reads“Black Nos. 8 to 60” in black letters. The other side has“White Nos. 8 to 60” in black letters on gold. The side for the white thread also has“Patent Applied For” printed across the top. Inside the roll-top doors are slanted displays for spools(see in photos 2 and 7) These are filled via two hinged flaps or doors on the top, shown in photos 5 and 6. You can see that the spool sizes have numbered slots on the top that correspond to the numbered bins on the sides. The other two sides have long wood dividers, each with a glass pane to cover the visible spools. Each of these sides has a gold-painted panel under the glass displays. On one side, J. P. Coats’ Spool Cotton No. 40” is printed in black letters; on the other side is“J. P. Coats’ Spool Cotton No. 50. This old oak case was probably used in a Rexall drug store in the early 1900’s. Holding nibs for ink dip and/or fountain pens. It will make a beautiful display case for small collectibles. The case measures at the base 14 1/2” long by 12 1/2” wide. And 2” high. The lid hinges at the right-hand end, with a hook closure at the opposite end. There are twelve 3” x 2 ¼” compartments, and one 12 ½” x 2 ¾” compartment at the back. The smaller compartments are labeled for REXALL Pen nibs of different styles and sizes. A few of the paper labels are missing or damaged. The oak is in good condition, and the finish is also in good condition, showing some minor wear consistent with age and normal use. Antique Glass Jewelry Display Case Wavy Glass Vintage Oak Wood Store Display Box
Up for auction is an antique oak display case. Has a wavy glass lid that does not seem to match the bottom. The wood looks darker on the lid than the base. And it does not match up evenly(see last two photos) Most likely the old lid broke and this one was an old replacement. The base measures 12.5" by 15.5" The lid measures 10.75" by 14" The case is 3" deep. There are some blemishes to the wood along the edges, this includes some scratches and chips, nothing major. The glass is wavy with no cracks or chips but does have some surface scratches as well. Right now the glass needs one more nail to keep it even but I will leave that up to the new owner. Very Nice and Scarce old Country Store Thread Display Cabinet. Marked Corticelli on three sides with the original decals and also a fourth time on the oak bottom drawer. It is also marked with a small decal on the back with the words"Made in the USA by the Florence Co. Florence, Massachusetts. There are 9 glass front drawers and one oak drawer with metal spool holders in the backs of all 9 glass front drawers. All original with all original pulls. Excellent used antique condition as shown in the photos. It does have some crayon writing in a couple of the drawers- done by a child at some point and likely removable but this does not deter from the overall beauty of the display. Old Oak Antique Boye Crochet Needle Store Counter Display & Mounting Bracket
This is an antique store counter display for Boye Crochet Needles. On the back of the display it reads. This cabinet is owned by the undersigned and loaned for display and sale of"Boye" Brand crochet Hooks Only. The Boye Needle Company, Chicago, New York, San Francisco" The small wood cabinet is made of what appears to be oak wood. It has a small dove tailed box with a lid that lifts, in the back of the piece, for the storage of extra hooks. The front panel once had a decal design, but it is mostly worn off. The case has 14 slots for hook display, though 1 slot is missing the separator. The wood part measures 8& 1/4" by 5& 1/2" on the base. Attached to the base is a cast metal mounting pole with top& bottom brackets. This piece measures 12& 1/2" long. Overall height is 19" The piece is in ... moregood condition, though does have some flaws. The wood is worn& faded, dry looking. The sides of the wood piece show splits, which you can see in the photos. The front decal is worn off. The mounting pole is pitted& shows rust. It has some old wavy glass in it if you like that old time glass look. Wood sliding rear doors. Case is very clean and straight. I recently removed the contents and gave it another thorough cleaning. Here for sale is an outstanding pair of antique oak country store/general store curved glass display cases. I have one on each side of the room. But they in their hay day the cases were likely sitting side by side along one wall of the store. Each one measures about 6 ft from each end to the curve. They easily disassemble. The glass comes off the top. An oak from which is held on by a few small screws comes off next. The glass sides are next and then you have the base. You won't find a nicer set, if you can find a set! They are over 100 years old and have been used, but they remain in very good condition. I hate to part with them, but have moved and no longer have room for them. RARE Antique General Store Oak Candy Display Case w/Penny Candy Tin Trays
This is an opportunity to purchase a rare general store candy display case with the original tin pans for penny candy. This is from a corner grocery store in Michigan City. Indiana. In the 1950's and 1960's, I used to ride my bike to this store to buy penny candy(by then it was 2 cents a piece) and candy bars out of this case. When the owners retired and closed the store in 1976, I purchased the case for sentimental reasons and have used it to display my collection of popcorn boxes. I had always intended to strip the green paint off as it is oak underneath(see photos of the inside of case) But the paint had the wear of a thousand children hands as they went behind the counter. The glass for the front and sides got broken in a move so it would need to be replaced. The doors still have the original wavy glass. The doors need new track ... moreto slide on as the store owner had replaced it with plastic track which is worn. There are three removable wood grained metal shelves, one 12 inches wide, one 10 inches wide and one 8.5 inches wide where they displayed the candy bars, gum, cough drops and other items. There are 5 long tins trays measuring 5.5 inches wide by 19.5 inches long and 4 shorter tin trays measuring 5.5 inches wide by 16 inches long for the penny candy and the tins are in good condition. The whole case measures 58 inches wide by 48 inches high with a depth of 24 inches at the bottom slanting back to 12 inches at the top. The doors are 28 inches wide by 39 inches high(they overlap on two different tracks) I am reluctantly letting this go as we are downsizing and don't have the room for it.

TWO Antique J & P Coats Cotton Thread Spool Cabinets Oak Country Store Display's
Hello. My dogs don't go with the auction but they are available for stud service. LOL OK everyone knows what these are. How often do you see a pair of them though? AS FOUND. The condition of both are excellent and unmolested. Original finish to both, orig decals, glass, etc. All doors and tambors function perfectly and all are complete. These were pampered end tables for the last 50+ yrs, straight out of a residence, never been in an antique shop! Offered for free pickup near Cooperstown NY. I will quote for insured shipping on an individual basis at the buyers sole expense. Now the flaws: one small oak knob(pull) is missing. There is some candle wax(red) inside one cabinet top. Should clean easily but I have not done it so I am mentioning it. One top oak lid looks to be split from age it might have been glued at some point or possibly ... morenot. Hard to tell.It is not warped at all, in fact nothing is warped on any hinged openings. It is usable and not really noticable unless you really look. Easy repair for experienced woodworker, but sold as is so you be the judge! These are really exceptional pieces and you would be hard pressed to find another in as good cond. Much less two of them. Ask any questions in advance, need more pics not a problem.

Antique Country Store General Store Oak Ribbon Display Case Cabinet
For sale is this oak country store/general store ribbon display case. The case measures about 25"w x 39"t and 25"d. It opens front or back and does make a nice display. It is missing ribbon holders on one of the doors and has one broken glass. I have enjoyed it very much. But have moved and just can't take everything with. This piece has to go. GREAT 1890's RICHARDSON SILK OAK DISPLAY CABINET SALESMAN STORE SPOOL BOX CASE
Up for bid is an outstanding antique silk spool general store display cabinet made by the Richardson Silk Co. There are a total of six drawers. 5 being for spool rounds and one being for general storage. The unit measures approximately 16 inches wide by 21 inches long by 15 inches tall. Overall the unit is in excellent condition. The cabinet appears to be made out of finished oak. The front, sides and top have general light scratching. The top has slightly more moderate scratching. The finish is also slightly worn on the back top right. All of the drawers are present with the cabinet as well as the hardware for each drawer. The glass fronts on the drawers are very thick and are free of cracks, chips or scratching. The two knobs on the bottom drawer are also present. See pictures for a better idea of condition.

ANTIQUE OAK COUNTRY STORE KNIFE WATCH GUN COUNTER DISPLAY CASE
Up for auction is an early oak countertop display case circa 1890s. The case is oak and looks to have been refinished. The case features a divider unit inside that was possibly used to display knives. Pocket watches or jewelry. The divider can be removed. The divider felt covering is somewhat worn and shows it’s age. Based on other cases I've seen I believe it may be original. The back of the case features a large pull out drawer at the bottom for storage. The inside of the drawer has grooves cut to accept dividers which could easily be made. Access to the case is thru two sliding oak doors at the back. The doors have mirrors attached on the inside of the case. The doors slide free and fit well to the frame. One door may be a replacement. There is a brass tag on the front of the case that reads: Jos. Knittle Showcase Makers Co. Quincy, ... moreIL” The glass on the top of the case has some fine scratches and looks like original wavy glass. There are no cracks in the glass or the wood. The wood does not have any areas of visible repair or rot. There are mounting holes in the case frame where the case might have been secured to a counter or a table.
