Incredible antique oak and glass display case with light blue velvet and custom stand. The 2 sliding mirrored glass doors in the back have a really cool distressed patina. the showcase was made by the Houston showcase mfg corp and it is stamped on the underside. the glass has a wavy effect to it. Antique Table Top General Store Counter Display Cabinet Mercantile
This auction is for an antique table-top counter display cabinet/cupboard. This was obtained from the estate of an elderly gentleman whose family owned a mercantile general store back in the early 1900's. This little gem would have held some type of product and been on the counter by the cash register. This cabinet has walnut wood and glass on all four sides and a silver closing latch and brackets on the front. The cabinet has metal dividers inside which leads me to believe that there were shelves at one time. These could be easily be replaced with clear glass. C.1890 Antique Glass & Tin Counter Table Top General Country Store Display Case
Very nice antique 1890-1900 era tin and glass with a cardboard base display case. The only distractions for this case are two scratches in the glass on the hinged lid. The rest of the glass and the metal are problem free. It has a loose black piece of felt on the inside. The cardboard base has some fading but is structurally sound. The bottom has it's original 4 feet. The hinge for the lid works just as it should. The case measures 3 7/8" tall. 10 7/8" wide and is 4 1/2" deep. I have listed $12.00 for shipping. I am basing this on coast-to-coast shipping. If you are closer to the East Coast shipping should be less. The soda can is to provide scale and is not included. Antique primitive 7/8" thick wooden cabinet(I am not sure exactly what this is) May be a store display. Podium stand topper, cash drawer, but it is unque. It is approx. 20" x 12" x 13-3/4" high, and the caninet is made of what I believe is oak it is very heavy and has been stained dark. It has a shelf on the bottom that slants up toward the back and is made of rough saw board. It has a short drawer on the top with a wooden knob. Absolutely one of the most beautiful showcases I’ve seen. And the only one of this type and size I’ve ever seen. It’s not perfect but for its age in my opinion it’s in outstanding condition(see photos) The showcase was made by Specialty Case Co of Kendallville. Ind. I’m guessing sometime in the 1920s. Old Retail Store Counter Top REXALL PENS Oak & Glass Display Case
This old oak case was probably used in a Rexall drug store in the early 1900’s. Holding nibs for ink dip and/or fountain pens. It will make a beautiful display case for small collectibles. The case measures at the base 14 1/2” long by 12 1/2” wide. And 2” high. The lid hinges at the right-hand end, with a hook closure at the opposite end. There are twelve 3” x 2 ¼” compartments, and one 12 ½” x 2 ¾” compartment at the back. The smaller compartments are labeled for REXALL Pen nibs of different styles and sizes. A few of the paper labels are missing or damaged. The oak is in good condition, and the finish is also in good condition, showing some minor wear consistent with age and normal use. The bottom board is not original, however it works well with the rest of the old case. It has thick and heavy beveled glass panels that are perfect, no chips or cracks. The wood frame has dings, nicks, scratches and finish wear. None of these flaws are very major and with a real good cleaning, it will look great. I have up for sale a very nice vintage circa 1st quarter of the 20th Century/ early 1900s A. STEIN& CO. counter top display case. A. Stein sold Men's belts and suspenders.Women's foundation garments, and is best known for the PARIS GARTER, the PERMA LIFT BRA& GIRDLE. This display case was used for displaying one of these products not sure which one to be honest. The back of the case has a measurement display printed on the upper portion. The case would date prior to 1931 as the company sold to Kayser- Roth Corp in 1931. It opens from the back side. Is hinged with a small knob for pulling the door up. The case measures approx 18-3/4" long is made of wood. Unsure of the exact wood- but it is not oak, walnut, nor mahogany. The flat glass panels are in excellent shape. It measures approx 7-3/4" in the back and slants ... moredown to approx 5-1/2" in the front, its approx 6-1/2" deep on the base and weighs approx 5-1/2 lbs as it sits. The owner has a soft fabric piece set on the bottom inside. The case is in very good condition- great overall shape with some normal minor light wear. Oak General Store Checkout Counter - with marble top
Oak General Store Checkout Counter- with detached marble top. I was told this piece was a candy counter that survived the Chicago fire. Hmmmmm… not sure about that. But I think this is late 1800’s or early 1900’s. It came to me as a gift from someone who bought it at an antique store that closed in Saint Paul, MN more than 40 years ago. This piece had a dark burgundy finish when I received it. I stripped the dark finish off and applied shellac. The column pieces on each side are not original however the“carved” capitals for these columns are original, but upon stripping them and close inspection they do not seem to be wood. I do not know what they are made of. There is one missing“egg and dart” molding on the right side at the top. There are also several chipped off“eggs” on the other moldings(please see pictures) The counter is an antique ... moreand therefore might have other blemishes. It is in very nice condition, but of course it has wear from lots of use. It is sold as is. The back is OPEN with a bottom and middle shelf, plus cash drawer. Dimensions of the counter are approximately 7’ long, 2’ deep and 33.5" high. I write approximately because my measurements could be off by ¼ of an inch. I listed this with ebay's freight shipper option. I also offer FREE LOCAL PICK UP. In addition, I am willing to meet with two different shipper/packers of your choice at a specific time so that you can get two bids on having this packed and shipped to you. Vintage Store Glass Top and Wood Display Case Sales Counter 6 ft. Long
This store counter or display cabinet was already old in the early 1960's when it was purchased second-hand by the previous owner. I do not know the date of manufacture. It is 6 feet long. The glass is 22 inches wide, and it stands 39 inches tall. The glass portion is about 12 inches tall. There are wooden sliding doors in the back to access the glass display section. There are also two shelves in the back divided by a center partition. The top shelf provides a 6 1/2 inch height open area. And the bottom shelf provides about a 13 inch height open area. There are condition problems as there was once a flood that affected the lower part of the counter. As a result there is peeling veneer on the front as you can see in the picture. There is a patch on the back. One of the shelves in the back leaning; I think the support needs to be re-restraightened ... moreand re-fastened. There is some wear on the glass. There is staining on the white part inside the glass section. I have not been able to move this so I don't know what the side that is against the wall looks like.
