Antique settee and matching chair Queen Anne Local pick up only
Antique settee and matching chair. I do not know much about these. They were at my grandmothers, I believe they are early 1900's but could be dated earlier I am not an expert, please view the photos and ask questions. I was told they are queen anne but I am not sure also told rare to find matching chair. The fabric on the settee is very old and worn may be original but the chair has newer fabric. Photo's include the underneath of the settee, where some of the nails have come loose did not fix this as by seeing the inside perhaps an expert can date it. The engravings are beautiful as you can see but there is a thin crack in the center back or the settee. Local pick up only!

The seat in the chair does need to be re stuffed I think. It kinda sinks in when you set on it. This was Identified as Horner furniture from a local dealer about 5 years ago. the settee is 54" long across the back. 25" front to back, 39 1/2" tall, add another 1 1/2" for the metal wheels, it does have a center wood crown that is 6 1/2" tall that goes on the top back, you can see it in the photo, so making the height for the back with wheels and crown piece, it is 56 1/2" tall, 53" x 20" seat area, 18" tall front to top of seat with the wheel on Photo's are part of our Description. When we purchased this set about 20 years ago it was covered in Shelton Looms Mohair. We had it recovered in a high end fabric that very closely matched the original in color and texture about 14 years ago. Very sturdy and if you pull back on the back of the couch on one end. The complete couch will tip back without twisting, It is very well constructed) The wood accents and feet are walnut and were refinished at time of being recovered. No little kids during our ownership except an occasional grand child. br It has been well taken care of and we haven’t ever had it cleaned. 1930s antique Queen Anne style LONG footed sofa AND matching chair Nice detail!
This Queen Anne sofa and chair are unique in their SIZE. The sofa is 6' long and comfortable for napping. Chair is in good condition. Simply needs to be recovered. My grandparents had these in their home until they passed in the'70s. Mother passed them down to me. One corner of the arm needs repair and it does need to be recovered.
