Circa 1930 This chair is in good condition. With the chrome legs in very good condition with signs of use and scuffs and some minor discoloration to the upholstery. The doctor told me that he had worked with Dr Fred Barge many years ago. The doctor told me he bought this lounge chair and a few other items from him. He indicated that he used it as an adjustable bench. The chair has been examined and we believe that it has the original vinyl but the cloth underneath appears to have been replaced. This is a stunning beautifully crafted antique wicker chaise and chair from no later than the 1920's. These pieces are both spring set and have the original horsehair pads that were recovered many years ago with these vintage quilted and floral fabrics and the original fabric still remains underneath. The set is clean and has no odors. The frames and springs are sturdy and the cushions are excellent although a small amount of insignificant stain can be found. These pieces have such great vintage character and need no restoration unless you want to perfect the paint or recover the cushions. The chaise is full length it measures about 52 inches long by 26 inches wide it is 31 inches high to top of the crest and to the top of the cushion it is 17 1/2 inches. This is a vintage. Natural wicker lounge chair/ lounger. Could be from the 1920s to the 1950s. I don't know. But I do know that it's pretty old, and in very good condition. It is 72" long x 26" wide x 26" tall at the head x 16" tall at the foot. Some repairs have been made along the way(as shown is the pictures) And there is one place on the left side near the bottom towards the head where the wicker is coming loose. Don't worry- it's not structural and it is repairable. The rest of the piece shows light to normal wear. Remember its old and used, not a new piece of furniture. This may have been a pool chair for sun tanning somewhere. The colored stripes on the skirt make me think commercial/ hotel use. But again- I don't know. Cushion is not original. Antique French Country Chaise Lounge / Chair
This awesome Chaise Lounge is trimmed in wood on arms- and legs in a medium/dark Walnut stain finish color. It is in very good original condition. The front legs have been repaired and middle of seat re-braced to make it more sturdy. The fabric is barely worn. And only flaw is a tiny hole on the side with small amount of glue residue in that spot- which can be removed with Goop Off. The Chaise Lounge may need minor cleaning due to dust in place of storage.
