It is 82" long and ... more39" high to the center at the back. This sofa is ornate with hand crafted hard wood decor about 2" thick in dark brown color of the grape and leaf patterns. The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. The fabric has been replaced along the way with an antique beige that is all buttoned and pleated. It must have been done in the last 10 years or so as it is in lovely condition. The sofa is all tight and sturdy. The overall size is 68 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 48 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 28 inches deep, 38 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arms and 16 inches high to the seat. It is a great looking sofa with a great patina on the wood frame.

This gorgeous set ... morefeatures a triple back sofa with framed center section. The curved crest rail offers a beautiful reticulated leaf carved crest with an inlaid center rosette. Each end also offers curved crest rails. All three sections have beautifully tufted backs. Open padded arms lead to wonderfully carved hand rest with with incised carving and large drop finials. A shaped seat rail is supported by four turned legs and original brass capped casters. This fantastic sofa does have an old repair to one end which appears to be very sturdy and secure and one rosette at the left end of the sofa has some inlay loss. Thank goodness the repair is there or by today's standards it would have been in the dump and we would have lost this wonderful piece of art~just my opinion. The vintage cream colored fabric does show some ware on one corner and arm and needs a gentle cleaning. Please look closely and enlarge the pictures as all the detail cannot be shown in 12. Measurements: 45 inches high 68 inches long 33 inches deep 18 floor to seat weight 35 lbs. The matching chair features the same beautifully carved crest drop finials and turned legs. This is a simply magnificent solid mahogany with flame mahogany front empire hand-carved flowered back sofa that dates from the late 1860s–70s. ... moreIt’s what they call a transitional piece. Which means it’s coming out of the empire era into the Victorian era, and both styles connect in this sofa. This style of sofa, which I’ve had before, was very popular during the Civil War era. The great thing about this particular sofa is that it is not only in great condition, but it has also been freshly reupholstered by its previous owner in a gorgeous antique beige colorful floral design that looks awesome against the original finish of the dark patina of the wood. The couch itself has a solid mahogany back with hand-carved flowers, with the top of one petal missing from one on the right hand side. Other than that, it’s in really good shape. The front has a ribbon molding with a flame mahogany serpentine skirt with applied carving in the center. The forearms are nicely carved with incise carved leaves. It has curved design wraparound arms and goes up into the hand-carved top crest, where as I mentioned there is a bit of carving missing on the last flower over. This is an amazing antique sofa recently reupholstered in silver velvet. We estimate it to be maybe 100 years old or more. It was an amazing find at an estate sale. We had it completely reupholstered. Including the three pillows with striped silk and gold edging. This sofa is very massive and heavy. It probably weighs around 200-300 pounds. Structurally very solid. Not wobbly or unsteady. Built to last! We would keep it but we are moving to a smaller place and it simply won't fit. Check the dimensions! Much larger than today's furniture. 90" wide. 42" high, 40" deep. In our last house we had to remove a window to get it in and out. Transportation will be up to you.

Up for sale is a nice. Sturdy, and clean Victorian era fainting couch. Pay no attention to the weirdness of the fabric- I had some boxes sitting atop the couch in my storage unit. We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique(late 19th century) Victorian chaise chair/sofa. This is a stunning piece that features an ornate. Carved wood frame and tall cane back. The chaise is quite large, measuring 6 feet in length. The seating area is covered in a beautiful fabric with French, Neoclassical pattern. There are 8 legs which feature block and turned wood. Arched, carved wood stretchers attach in between each leg on the long sides. There are stretcher supports that also run under the chaise, but these are not decorative. The chaise has been painted white(not sure if it is original) It is in good antique condition. The paint is chipping/peeling. The cane in intact with a small worn area in the center. As expected, It is not as taut as it once was but it is not loose and is still attached. The frame is good with some"wiggle" ... moredo to its age. The fabric is probably vintage as it is in very good condition with no rips, stains, etc. There is nail head trim which is also older. This is a gorgeous,old chaise with beautiful lines and aged charm. This style has been replicated many times by such designers as Aiden Gray. This is the original! This is a fabulous accent piece! Available is an authentic antique Victorian full sized sofa couch. It has been fully restored and reupholstered by Amish craftsmen. The upholstery is a heavy rich creamy ivory/white brocade with a satin finish. The carved wood I believe is rosewood. The seat cushion is one single removable cushion. The couch hasn't been used since it was reupholstered and restored. There is one flaw- a chip to the top of one of the flowers on the top left hand side of the couch. Please see the last photo.
