Which are typical of the Art Deco period. The base of the suite features a brass-studded frame and below the suite descends onto decorative bun feet at the front and sabre legs to the rear. Circa 1920's, features shaped padded backrest, with right side raises sharply in scrolled-form, the arms cresting outward in a nearly perfect cyma form, both arms curls outward in a tight swirl. the back is straight and elegant with slightly scrolled end. The apron centered ... morewith carved rosette. The whole raised on four matching splayed legs. This is a very delightful form. It was crafted by an artisan intimately familiar with classical lines, It is incredibly strong and elegant great for anywhere in the house, entry hall bedroom livingroom, for anyone with a Classical Regency or Empire bend to their decor and architecture, this unusually fine piece will be an incredible compliment. it is cover in very rich warm antique rare colorful velvet material with professionally tufted seat. This is a very nice hand carved settee or love seat made in USA it has superb carving all over and sits on French style cabriole legs. To the back it is buttoned fabric with a loose cushion to the seat. Its very very comfortable. Measurements are 36 high and 81 long.I will have more pictures later. LATE VICTORIAN DOUBLE SEAT SHERIDAN STYLE MAHOGANY SETTEE
Here we have a lovely late Victorian double seat Sheridan style settee- this settee is made of a solid mahogany. And has a nice green upholstered seat with a leaf like pattern. The settee measures apprx 44 1/2" wide from arm to arm x 33" tall in the back and 16" tall in front. In nice condition with great details. Please see photos for more details.
