One arm, and 2 side chairs. they are ... morenewly recovered with a gorgeous soft pink fabric that is nicely tufted. i said newly, the fabric may be a few years old but it is in new condition. i am not for sure what the fabric may be. i bought this set from a wealthy estate and it is possible that it is silk, but i can not be for sure. at any rate, it is a very fine fabric. there are no damages to the set as far as i can tell, save one of the casters on the sofa kept falling out so i put a dowel in the hole, glued it and redrilled it for the caster. other than that i know of no damage or repairs to the set. it is very sturdy with no wiggles or wobbles etc. the backs of the chairs are all nicely laminated. my pictures are not very good as the lighting where i have this set is poor. the entire set of course is pierced carved in the finest fashion. the detail on this set is as good as i have ever seen in stanton hall. the finish is wonderful, however, my pictures are dull and that is not the true state of the finish. also the color of the wood and fabric is not exact by along shot. i will take the arm chairs outside tomorrow and get some pictures in the sunlight. the room they are in is inside the middle of my house and there are no windows there. anyway, i can get some much more accurate photos of the finish and colors of the wood and fabric and should anyone care to see them i will be more than happy to send them to you. also if there is anything else you want to see close up of, please ask and i will supply them as well. the legs are nicely carved, fluted, and contoured which does not show well in the pictures, nor does the carving in the center of the front of the seat support show very well. it is i promise you a very wonderful set. i am starting it at a money back price or less. i see a three piece set on ebay for 55K and 2 side chairs for 20K. the sofa is 66 inches wide, 49 inches tall, and the seat is

I believe this was recovered at some point(not sure though) because the cloth material is in great shape. No rips. Tears, stains, etc. It is a tapestry style material. When you look underneath the couch you can tell the springs and padding are original. It is very comfortable and not lumpy. I believe the wood is oak. But I am not sure. It has very nice carvings on the legs and the side. There are casters on the bottom, not sure if they are original or an add on but they do make it easy to move! It is approximately 70" L x 26.5" W. Antique sofa settee with matching chair. The cushions are in excellent condition. The wood on sofa needs some touch ups. It has some scratches and dings more along the legs. This set has not been altered from it's original state. There is also some missing pieces of cord nail trim on both sofa and chair.trim that covers nails) There is a small tear in fabric on the left. Outside part of the arm of the sofa which is on a seam that could be fixed easily. This is a gorgeous piece of hand-carved furniture. We must sell as we are moving to a smaller house. Solid Wood Parlor Sofa
Beautiful old sofa I found at an estate sale filled with antiques. It is made of solid wood. I am unsure what kind. It appears to be made of large, single pieces of wood; for example, the back is one large piece of wood. It has square nail heads. I'm not sure of the age, but my guess would be maybe 1920's? It was refinished in a rich mahogany. It has wood slats in the bottom. Metal brackets were added to the bottom middle portion to add stability. The cushion was recovered in a Waverly print. The measurements are: 75"L x 29"D x 31"H(31" is the height of the back; the front measures 27" As with most vintage/antique furniture. It shows signs of wear such as nicks, dents, cracks consistent with age and use. I think this only adds to the character of the piece. You have no idea how hard it is to part with this set. However. I'm on a student budget as of late, not working full time, and very much need to let this go. This set is absolutely beautiful, VERY unique, and I've been collecting deco furniture for quite some time. It's actually a vintage oilcloth, very sturdy, frame is in excellent condition and the original cushions/springs and decor are preserved in one of the cushions. It's an english set, and one sold on ebay for 7000 dollars in WORSE condition about a year ago- the only similar set I've seen. There is a love seat and two chairs. And it's perfect for small or large spaces as a result. I get more compliments on this than any piece I own. But, when you go from a fancy-dancy collector to a starving artist, you have to make the tough calls. I restored the linseed ... moreoilcloth as best I could and touched up many spots. But it is a little dry and cracked throughout. I never have felt it interfered with the overall look, but I did want to ship it to the folks at decodence in Dallas to do a complete restoration at some point. They have experience with embossed pieces like this, and can work miracles with this era of collectible. Unfortunately it's not something I can afford on a student budget. SO my loss is your gain. This is an Antique Blue Camelback Sofa: Nice Piece; Silk Moire Fabric; Age Unknown- Estimate 1900-1950. Last Recovered approx 30 years ago; Very Comfortable! Some Damage on lower edge wood(we have the missing piece on the right) Otherwise Very Good Condition. Please see pics for details– this is the exact item in the lot. 72" Long. 24" Wide at bottom.
