This gorgeous set ... morefeatures a triple back sofa with framed center section. The curved crest rail offers a beautiful reticulated leaf carved crest with an inlaid center rosette. Each end also offers curved crest rails. All three sections have beautifully tufted backs. Open padded arms lead to wonderfully carved hand rest with with incised carving and large drop finials. A shaped seat rail is supported by four turned legs and original brass capped casters. This fantastic sofa does have an old repair to one end which appears to be very sturdy and secure and one rosette at the left end of the sofa has some inlay loss. Thank goodness the repair is there or by today's standards it would have been in the dump and we would have lost this wonderful piece of art~just my opinion. The vintage cream colored fabric does show some ware on one corner and arm and needs a gentle cleaning. Please look closely and enlarge the pictures as all the detail cannot be shown in 12. Measurements: 45 inches high 68 inches long 33 inches deep 18 floor to seat weight 35 lbs. The matching chair features the same beautifully carved crest drop finials and turned legs. I believe this piece is made of walnut and has detailed pressed wood designs as well as carvings in the crown. Crest, central panel, handgrips and the seat rail. The backrest has divided button-tufted cushions and is trimmed with a beautiful gold welt, or trim! There are beautiful burled wood accent strips on the crest rail and flanking the back cushions. The front legs are turned. The Green& Gold upholstery appears to be original. As the seat is showing some very slight signs of wear in the knap of the fabric. Overall this piece is in good condition. Antique Settee Antique settee set! Rare sofa and loveseat. Beautiful carved wood with wheels on the feet. The sofa fabric is faded. The loveseat fabric does not appear to be faded. However. This set is still lovely. This set would be great for a parlor room or living room. I could not find maker's signature and I am not sure of the age. Here's a very beautiful antique settee love seat. It's a soft pink color with flowers that has a silver iridescent hue to it! Style is Victorian. Probably around 1930-40's realistically and this is 100% authentic it came from an antique attorney auction in sourthern Wisconsin. Very Art Deco and VERY IN STYLE TODAY! It's actually in excellent condition for it's age. just needs a cleaning and I suppose you may want to refinish the mahogany( dark legs. There's no rips or tears. So you are good with this antique upholstery and it appears all the original pin tacks are in place as well. The loveseat is sturdy and strong. Attractive shape and comfortable! It ... moremeasures 47" wide x 31" deep. The back measures 32" height the front is 17" height(your seating height) The seats are 22" x 20" The 2 pads as you can see are removable as well. It has no bad odors, it honestly just needs a regular cleaning and you can enjoy it right after that for years to come! These antiques were made to last, and this one has been cared for we've owned it for years as well and we haven't sat on it but a few times sadly! There's one circular stain on the bottom of one of the cushions, we did not try to remove as again this should be professionally cleaned. The cushions do remove, and other than that one stain it's simply a nice cleaning is all you need here! We've had this in our friend's basement storage for years hoping to change our living room style and they're moving so we have to move it out. No room for it.
