antique gatsby era 20s wicker chaise lounge sofa chair horsehair original spring
This is a stunning beautifully crafted antique wicker chaise and chair from no later than the 1920's. These pieces are both spring set and have the original horsehair pads that were recovered many years ago with these vintage quilted and floral fabrics and the original fabric still remains underneath. The set is clean and has no odors. The frames and springs are sturdy and the cushions are excellent although a small amount of insignificant stain can be found. These pieces have such great vintage character and need no restoration unless you want to perfect the paint or recover the cushions. I cannot say when the last paint was applied to these but although it is chipped off a bit here and there I would not personally change a thing. Please enlarge pictures for best look. This piece is 60" long and has wide arm rests. The back height is 31" and it is 30 1/2" wide. These nice old piece of wicker furniture are getting harder to come by in such nice condition.

Antique Wood & Caned Wicker Adjustable Chaise Lounge-Brass Fittings
Up for auction is an antique wooden chaise lounge with a caned wicker bottom. I have no idea of the age. Just that it was given to me over 30 years ago and was old then. It is wooden, not sure the type of wood. The bottom is caned wicker. The back piece is adjustable with a brass arm that fits into brass fittings for different heights. At the top it sits at approximately a 90 degree angle and at the bottom it goes flat. It measures 68 inches long, 26 inches wide and 30 and 1/2 inches tall(measuring at the tallest part near the headrest) The wicker is in great condition, no broken areas, feels strong and looks good. The wood has a few issues which I photographed. There are some chips of wood out in different places, all photographed, and a few scratches on the bottom which I photographed. Fresh from the carriage house of an Elberon Estate at The North Jersey Shore Overall length is about 5 feet. Across the arms[widest point] is 24" Once Pink-ish Cushion is 48"long& 22" wide. Its solid but needs recovering. At the crest of the back the height is a bit shy of 36" The frame is sound. No rot, cracks or damage. There is wicker loss along the front that consists of a worn left front corner[to your RIGHT in the photo]and loss to the bottom left of the skirt. Nothing deadly or un-repairable. Vtg Natural Wicker Chaise Poolside Lounger Florida Pool Furniture Lounge Chair
This is a vintage. Natural wicker lounge chair/ lounger. Could be from the 1920s to the 1950s. I don't know. But I do know that it's pretty old, and in very good condition. It is 72" long x 26" wide x 26" tall at the head x 16" tall at the foot. Some repairs have been made along the way(as shown is the pictures) And there is one place on the left side near the bottom towards the head where the wicker is coming loose. Don't worry- it's not structural and it is repairable. The rest of the piece shows light to normal wear. Remember its old and used, not a new piece of furniture. This may have been a pool chair for sun tanning somewhere. The colored stripes on the skirt make me think commercial/ hotel use. But again- I don't know. Cushion is not original.
