Ercol Day Bed cushions and covers
We bought an original Ercol day bed last year and it came with these cushions. We have now managed to replace them with new ones but before throwing them out I wondered if there was anyone who would like to use them as an interim measure. You will see the covers and cushions look fine in the first couple of photographs but there is a stain on one side of the seat cover and the netting cover underneath. There is no smell or anything untoward and It does not seem to have affected the foam itself. There are a couple of small nibbles out of one side of the seat foam but they really are small. The foam of the seats and cushions is still firm and we have been using them for the last year or so. I will give the covers another wash before delivering them. As we live in Orkney. Delivery is difficult but I will be in Perth for the week beginning 13th ... moreJuly so could deliver either on the way down(as long as it is close to the A9! or they could be collected from where I am staying. Antique mission sette/day bed

Age/history I have no idea about the age of the piece but I am 53 and I remember this being in my uncles house forever. This is a mission style day bed. It MAY have had arms at some time as there are 2 holes(see pictures) but I can't find where the arms would have conceded on the base. I also never remember seeing arms on it. Purple down and horse hair antique day bed Celebrity owned McFadden Myrna Loy
Available today for your consideration is this lovely antique and celebrity owned open back sofa. This is often described as a settee. Daybed, or fainting couch. It is from the 1920's or earlier and has a regency or French country feel to it. This sofa was acquired from Star Trek doctor, Gates McFadden in 2006. It had a simple linen fabric cover and was reupholstered when acquired in 2006. It now has a lush purple fabric that covers the original feather down fill and the horsehair seat cushion. Ms. McFadden informed us that it belonged to her mother and she had obtained it from Myrna Loy at some time in the past. It is a beautiful strong and sturdy daybed and would be a wonderful addition to any sitting room. It measures 90" long from arm to arm, 30" wide from front to back and 28" high at top of arms. I was told the frame of this daybed is mahogany. It was recently covered in Kravet heavy basket weave fabric. It also features mesh sides as shown in the photo. The daybed measures 80" x 30.5" and is in very good condition. The wood piece at the bottom front(as shown in last photo) could use a touch-up pen! but no other issues to report.
