The cushion is about 4" at highest point. 58" long without arm, and 20" deep. It is an original tanned upholstery with the small mauve flower pattern. It is decorated with some fabric buttons on the cushion. The cushion is very firm. There are 3 light water stains on the cushion sitting area as shown in the pictures. There is a small worn area on the fabric of the left arm. No major damage on the cushion. The cushion is 5" high from the floor. It has the brass rivets stitched along the cushion all the way around the front. The arm is 24 1/2" high from the floor. Each arm of the sofa has embossed hand crafted grape leaf design. There is a wooden surface damage on the top right arm. The stitching at the back along the left arm has come detached about 2" The legs are very stunning with the hand carvings on wood about 2 3/4" thick. The end of the legs have brass wheels about 1" diameter. There is a tear at the back on right foot area of the upholstery about 2" but it is not noticeable. The back felt cover is purple/ blue, it is faded. There are rusty nails holding back cover, that is partially torn off. The bottom of the couch covered with the fabric, it is old, has no tears. All the tears mentioned can be fixed. All is in great shape. This piece is really classic antique look, was kept well by our grandmother circa 1800's. Sold as is. Local pick-up only. The fabric has been replaced along the way with an antique beige that is all buttoned and pleated. It must have been done in the last 10 years or so as it is in lovely condition. The sofa is all tight and sturdy. The overall size is 68 inches wide on the outside of the arms, 48 inches wide on the inside of the arms, 28 inches deep, 38 inches high to the crest, 23 inches high to the arms and 16 inches high to the seat. This is a simply magnificent solid mahogany with flame mahogany front empire hand-carved flowered back sofa that dates from the late 1860s–70s. ... moreIt’s what they call a transitional piece. Which means it’s coming out of the empire era into the Victorian era, and both styles connect in this sofa. This style of sofa, which I’ve had before, was very popular during the Civil War era. The great thing about this particular sofa is that it is not only in great condition, but it has also been freshly reupholstered by its previous owner in a gorgeous antique beige colorful floral design that looks awesome against the original finish of the dark patina of the wood. The couch itself has a solid mahogany back with hand-carved flowers, with the top of one petal missing from one on the right hand side. Other than that, it’s in really good shape. The front has a ribbon molding with a flame mahogany serpentine skirt with applied carving in the center. The forearms are nicely carved with incise carved leaves. It has curved design wraparound arms and goes up into the hand-carved top crest, where as I mentioned there is a bit of carving missing on the last flower over. The center has a depth of 22" and the corner ends have a depth of 23" The arms have a height of 25.5" at the front and at the rounded corners the height is 29.5" The height at the center back is 37 1/8" The seat has a height of 19.5" The silk brocade upholstery is a beautiful light and deep rose colored combination with cream accents. This splendid 19th century settee features fabulous detailed carving of grapes& leaves on the triple serpentine crest-rail with highly carved arm supports and a triple serpentine seat-rail with a cluster of grapes at the center with brass casters intact on the feet. This settee measures 40 3/4 inches high from the floor to the top of the back center.With a total length of 66 1/2 inches, seat width of 47 inches and seat depth of 19 inches with a seat height to the floor of 17 inches and this settee weighs approximately 75 lbs. Vintage sage green velvet fabric is in wonderful vintage condition with no tears or rips but could use a gentle cleaning here and there. This is an amazing antique sofa recently reupholstered in silver velvet. We estimate it to be maybe 100 years old or more. It was an amazing find at an estate sale. We had it completely reupholstered. Including the three pillows with striped silk and gold edging. This sofa is very massive and heavy. It probably weighs around 200-300 pounds. Structurally very solid. Not wobbly or unsteady. Built to last! We would keep it but we are moving to a smaller place and it simply won't fit. Check the dimensions! This sofa is a real antique; has been in the family for over 50 years. And had a life before that. This sofa must be picked up; it cannot and will not be delivered. We are pleased to offer this beautiful antique(late 19th century) Victorian chaise chair/sofa. This is a stunning piece that features an ornate. Carved wood frame and tall cane back. The chaise is quite large, measuring 6 feet in length. The seating area is covered in a beautiful fabric with French, Neoclassical pattern. There are 8 legs which feature block and turned wood. Arched, carved wood stretchers attach in between each leg on the long sides. There are stretcher supports that also run under the chaise, but these are not decorative. The chaise has been painted white(not sure if it is original) It is in good antique condition. The paint is chipping/peeling. The cane in intact with a small worn area in the center. As expected, It is not as taut as it once was but it is not loose and is still attached. The frame is good with some"wiggle" ... moredo to its age. This can be resolved. The fabric is probably vintage as it is in very good condition with no rips, stains, etc. There is nail head trim which is also older. This is a gorgeous,old chaise with beautiful lines and aged charm. This style has been replicated many times by such designers as Aiden Gray. This is the original! As stated. The chaise is quite large and measures 6 feet in length. It is 21" wide at the back. The seat is 18" tall, 20.75" wide and 59" long. Floral tapestry fabric with zippers cushions that are reversible for longer wear. This sofa is 78” long by 36” deep. 17” from floor to top of seat, cushions are 23” deep.
