Vintage Danish Mid Century Modern Peter Hvidt Olga Molgaard-Nielsen Coffee Table
This is a vintage Danish Mid Century modern coffee table designed by Peter Hvidt. C. 1950's. They often come in a set of six to be arranged in various layouts. I do not know if these were ever sold separately but I found this one all by itself lonesome a few years back. Could be used as a low end/ coffee table, or if you have the others make them part of a set. This is not signed as I have seen some other examples posted online which were sold& labeled by France& Son, but this is unmistakeably made with same measurements& materials. It is made of teak with heavy brass legs which have been painted a matte black. Which c ould always be stripped& polished to match other versions of these tables. Can( will) be shipped with the legs removed-yay! Condition: Original wood finish. One old groove mark on the surface; consistent ... morepaint wear off the black painted brass legs; a few dings/scrapes on the underside; minor wear& marks on the edges.
