Beautiful Victorian Light WALNUT Sofa Couch w/ handcarved wooden arms& feet This is a very pretty hand carved walnut late 1800’s to early 1900s parlor sofa. This would have been in the front parlor to entertain gentlemen callers when they came to call. It is in wonderful condition. No distractions to note. The fabric is in a rich gold overstitch with a cream background, it will go with just about any decor. The wood is warm American Walnut and the carvings are in a pineapple and scroll motif. It is on old casters so it is easy to move about your room should the need arise. Condition: There are NO stains. Rips, tears, gouges anywhere on this piece. Being offered for sale is this Fancy Early Victorian Carved Walnut Settee with Magnificent Carved Grapes circa 1865. This splendid 19th century settee features fabulous detailed carving of grapes& leaves on the triple serpentine crest-rail with highly carved arm supports and a triple serpentine seat-rail with a cluster of grapes at the center with brass casters intact on the feet. This settee measures 40 3/4 inches high from the floor to the top of the back center.With a total length of 66 1/2 inches, seat width of 47 inches and seat depth of 19 inches with a seat height to the floor of 17 inches and this settee weighs approximately 75 lbs. Vintage sage green velvet fabric is in wonderful vintage condition with no tears or rips but could use a gentle cleaning here and there.
