This is a stunning beautifully crafted antique wicker chaise and chair from no later than the 1920's. These pieces are both spring set and have the original horsehair pads that were recovered many years ago with these vintage quilted and floral fabrics and the original fabric still remains underneath. The set is clean and has no odors. The frames and springs are sturdy and the cushions are excellent although a small amount of insignificant stain can be found. These pieces have such great vintage character and need no restoration unless you want to perfect the paint or recover the cushions. I cannot say when the last paint was applied to these but although it is chipped off a bit here and there I would not personally change a thing. Please enlarge pictures for best look. ANTIQUE VINTAGE "SHABBY" BAR HARBOR REED WICKER SOFA
Up for sale A very pretty. Vintage, shabby" white wicker Bar Harbor Reed sofa. On the sofa's back it has the"Triple X" where 3 reeds criss cross. Which I am told means that the wicker was of the highest quality and one of the most well made examples of wicker furniture in the 1900's. The sofa has been in my family for many years. And my immediate family has never had it out of doors. It was well kept in a sunroom for the years I have owned it. I have moved and it no longer fits the room I need it to be in. The sofa is 81"s long. 31"s deep, and is 34"s high in the back to floor. The bottom of the seat is 15 3/4"s from the ground. The wicker itself is in great condition. This is a beautiful and unusual Heywood Wakefield sofa. It was made around 1930. It is a black wicker highlighted with brown paint and black and brown upholstery. It is in very nice condition with only a couple of small pieces of broken wicker on the back and on the front on the bottom. There are also spots on the back that my cat used to sharpen his claws. The upholstery also has two tiny tears(see the last four pictures) It is 86" long and 37-1/2" high at the highest part. It comes with two matching pillows.

This listing is for a vintage woven fibre sofa from the Ypsilanti Furniture Co.They were located in Michigan but they are no longer in business. The sofa has three drop seats that have the original upholstery.The floral fabric shows wear with some torn areas but it can easily be recovered.Structurally it is sound but it does have minor losses to the fibre especially on the legs.
