Free Shipping Condition: Used Location: Dekalb, United States This is a child's 22" high tubular steel and chrome machine age springer chair made by Lloyd Loom Products. Menomimee, MI, circa mid to late ... more30s early 40s. The chair is in very good vintage condition. One rubber cap for the bottom runner is missing. There are some pinholes, minor losses, and scratches in the original green oil cloth but no tears or repairs. There are ghosts of scotch tape on the surface but those did not cover tears. They adhesive could be carefully removed, but I will leave that to the buyer. Corners are still neatly pleated. Original tacks on back of chair. No tears to the scrim. Chrome is in good condition with some scratches consistent with age. One rust spot on runner as shown in photo 8. The cross brace was repaired with a bad welding job(bottom-see photos 9 and 10) which could easily be repaired by a good welder, but it is not visible in use. Original Lloyd Loom Products label. Truest color rendition is photos 8 through 12. Lloyd Loom Mfg. invented and patented the process for creating artificial wicker weave during the wicker craze of the late 1800s and early 1900s. They were located in Menominee. MI and were taken over by their major competitor, Heywood Wakefield Co. in 1921. As wicker faded in popularity, Lloyd invented a process for creating seamless tubular steel which was incorporated into modern chairs of the art deco early machine and industrial age up to World War II. This is one of those chairs though the size is surprising. Designer Kem Weber designed adult springer chairs for Lloyd Loom products that are similar in appearance. This may be designed by him or based on the same design. The chair seat and back each measure 12" square and the overall chair height is 22"

Circa 1930 This chair is in good condition. With the chrome legs in very good condition with signs of use and scuffs and some minor discoloration to the upholstery. Approximate Measurements are: Height: 26" Length: 72" Width: 42" I purchased this chair a few years ago from a local chiropractor. The doctor told me that he had worked with Dr Fred Barge many years ago. The doctor told me he bought this lounge chair and a few other items from him. He indicated that he used it as an adjustable bench. The chair has been examined and we believe that it has the original vinyl but the cloth underneath appears to have been replaced. No labels or tags could ... morebe found on the chair. At the head of the chair are 2 parallel indention’s. Not very large but noticeable. Can be seen in the pictures. It’s probably from a box or something that sat on it for a period of time. Also on one side of the chair at the bottom are some light chippings on the vinyl at the seam, which can be seen in one of the photos. Up for sale is very rare Art Deco era daybed designed by Karl Emanuel Weber and made by Lioyd Manufacturing. It is made around 1930's in California. It is very good original condition even with manufacturer's tags. Lioyd mfg. was a division of Heywood Wakerfield in San Francisco. Ca. The upholstery is no ripps. Tear and is very soft and durable material. The color of upholstery is cream color. The chrome legs are well attatched to frame and sturdy. The size of daybed is about: 76" length x 27" width x 22" head height x 16" foot height. I prefer local pick-up. but you could arrange shipment and pay shipping cost.

IT IS NOT PEELING OR FLAKING, AND RETAINS A BEAUTIFUL PATINA. THE DULL AREAS IN THE PHOTOS HAVE NOT BEEN CLEANED. THERE ARE NO SPLITS, DENTS OR REPAIRED METAL ON THE SOFA. I HAVE SOLD MANY CHROME PIECES BY ALL DESIGNERS, AND IN MY OPINION, THIS SOFA DOES NOT NEED RE-PLATING. IT IS THICK AND EVEN AND JUST NEEDS A GOOD PROFESSIONAL POLISH. THE COLOR IS NOT UNEVENLY FADED FROM SUN-LIGHT, BUT JUST FROM AGE. THE FABRIC CAN BE REPAIRED EASILY, IF Y6U WISH TO RETAIN IT. THE PIPING IS WORN BUT NOT MISSING. IF YOU WANTED TO RE-PLATE THE METAL, IT DIS ASSEMBLES AT THE BACK BAR, VIA SCREWS, TO COME APART IN 2 PIECES. THE SIDE ARMS DIS-ASSEMBLE AS WELL. AGAIN, THE ORIGINAL CHROME IS OUTSTANDING, AND SHOULD BE LEFT INTACT. I THINK THE CHROME IS SO GOOD BECAUSE THE SOFA WASN'T IN ANY AREA THAT WAS PRONE TO MOISTURE. IT WAS MADE FOR SEATING IN LOUNGES AND HALLWAYS, AND WAS MAINTAINED LIKE A PIECE OF LIVING ROOM FURNITURE BY THE STORE STAFF. This is a great Pair of Vintage Art Deco Aluminum Streamline Chaise Lounge Chairs. Stackable pieces. Material is soft but should be cleaned. It is very dusty. Metal is clean no dings. Dents or repairs. Has some overall light wear. Measures 28" from floor to top of back x 9" from floor to top of seat, measures 62" long. With the contour in calculation a person slightly over 6' tall would comfortably fit without hanging over. Measures 25" wide and measures 27 1/4" wide across the arms. No bars or rods missing.
