Antique Art Deco Sofa Couch Parlor Set
You have no idea how hard it is to part with this set. However. I'm on a student budget as of late, not working full time, and very much need to let this go. This set is absolutely beautiful, VERY unique, and I've been collecting deco furniture for quite some time. It's actually a vintage oilcloth, very sturdy, frame is in excellent condition and the original cushions/springs and decor are preserved in one of the cushions. It's an english set, and one sold on ebay for 7000 dollars in WORSE condition about a year ago- the only similar set I've seen. There is a love seat and two chairs. And it's perfect for small or large spaces as a result. I get more compliments on this than any piece I own. But, when you go from a fancy-dancy collector to a starving artist, you have to make the tough calls. I restored the linseed ... moreoilcloth as best I could and touched up many spots. But it is a little dry and cracked throughout. I never have felt it interfered with the overall look, but I did want to ship it to the folks at decodence in Dallas to do a complete restoration at some point. They have experience with embossed pieces like this, and can work miracles with this era of collectible. Unfortunately it's not something I can afford on a student budget. SO my loss is your gain. Dimensions are as follows: Loveseat: Width 55" Depth 35" Height 32" Chairs: Width 35" Depth 35" Height 32" There is one gouge on an armchair arm rest. A triangle shaped piece 2" x 1" that I glued back down and is not very noticeable. The pieces are in fantastic condition otherwise. Art Deco MCM Sofa & Chair Paul Frankl Inspired Couch Vtg Mid Century Upholstered
Here is a Sofa and Chair Set. The lines convey classic Art Deco Styling. There is a tag under the cushions from a local fabric upholsterer, it appears as though the fabric was updated sometime in the 1950's or 1960's with high end fabric. The sofa in blue, the chair is pretty in pink. Both are trimmed with tassel fringe. The condition is quite good. Especially for their age. The sofa has some discoloration at the rear of the arms, the edge of the vertical seat pillar, and some striations along the back. If your room is not crazy well lit, you may not even notice it. Also, one small tear on a side of the couch, which I am ashamed to admit, was my fault: The tassel is the most worn aspect. Art deco sofa settee couch re-upholstered in chocolate mohair 1930s reversible
Fine art deco mohair sofa. In good condition, with two-sided, reversible seat cushions. The couch has been re-upholstered in a dark chocolate brown mohair type fabric. This is in good condition, but shows poorly in photos, since the fabric appears marked, stained or damaged. It is not! Vintage 1940s Art Deco three-person sofa couch davenport in green
This is a classic sofa and is completely intact. An expert has now informed me this is a very sophisticated Art Deco sofa. Thank you so much! It was last upholstered in the early 1950's. So I'm sure it dates to at least the 1940's. There are no rips or tears, but you'd probably want to redo it anyway. It's a very durable, nubby fabric, but it's really green(greener than the pictures make it look-a Christmas green-it's not even close to teal) It has not been used since about 1979 and was covered with a sheet. It measures 79" long by 39" at its deepest(floor space needed front to back) and 32" high. You will have to pick it up. There is an identical chair, but it's red and we have not uncovered it yet. This is a very nice. Clean and sturdy Art Deco era couch/soft. It has very graceful lines with rolled arms and wavy back. The color is a chocolate brown. Fabric is mohair which has the appearance of crushed velvet only sturdier. It is also a very soft fabric and not a bit scratchy. Sofa has 4 wooden legs in front and two in the back. The back is at a slight incline. Cushion covers have zippers and are removeable for cleaning. You can use regular upholstery cleaner to clean up most spots so its easy to care for. Arizona, was then lovingly used for several years, and then carefully covered and stored in a temperature controlled environment away from light, smoke, and pets. This is the original Red Burgundy Velvet fabric. And you can see that the fabric is in amazing shape. The original upholstery is intact but needs to be replaced. The frame is in nice shape but some chrome along the bottom of the piece has come off due to storage in a basement for several decades. Those pieces can be removed and re-chromed. The tag on the back of the main couch cushion identifies the piece as a product of Howell Furniture of Geneva.
