The applied trim is coming loose over much of the upholstery, however, it is not torn, and could easily be refastened. The upholstery has some light stains on it, however, there are no tears or holes. It is quite worn where the trim is coming loose, however. The setee is about 34" wide across the back. It is 34.5" wide across the arms. It has an inside diameter of 32" across the arms at the front, and about 30.25" at the back. The seat is 15" high. Victorian Oak Settee w/Carved Pierced Back and Top Rail Red & Cream Velvet
A beautiful settee that will add warmth. Comfort, and beauty to any decor. This Victorian era settee is constructed from oak. It is a solid sturdy piece in amazing condition for the age. The carved back crest of this has an ornate geometric design in a half circle at the center. There are two carved scrolling leaf sections flanking the half circle and topped with a gently scrolled& incised section of wood. There are tiny carved"wings" at the top of each side. These protrude out approximately 1.5" At the center back of the settee there is a stunning pierced& carved section with a wheat sheath design. The details on the carved areas show the skill of an amazing craftsman. This has a red velvet upholstery covering the seat and back. There are creamy gold colored patches on the upper corners of the seat back and on the ... morefront as well. The colors blend nicely together and the neutrality makes it an easy match with many other colors. There is also padded armrests with matching red velvet. There are two square sections on the back of this that are also covered with red velvet. This measures as follows: 48.5" wide from side to side at the top(this measurement was taken at the outside edge of the"wings" at the top) 38 7/8" height taken at the center back, 25.5" overall depth, 20.5" seat depth, 18" seat height, 24.5" arm height to the top of the padded area, There is barely any wear or soiling on the upholstery and this piece is in amazing condition for the age. Old Vintage or Antique Victorian Gossip Bench Settee
This is a very beautiful victorian gossip bench! It has magnificent carvings all over and would look great in any home in just about any room or hallway. I cannot say exactly how old it is. But it is definitely many decades. Has small scuff/tear in bottom back side as seen in pictures. I believe it was probably recovered at some point, but I do not know. Also, the white portion of the handle is busted, but can easily be replaced if you choose to do so. Very minor issues in comparison to the elegant beauty this piece brings. This settee is a rare find for sure as I have never come across one that the arms adjust( by lifting up on the arms) allowing the settee to transform into a chaise lounge! How unique! This Queen Anne loveseat with carved wood and tapestry style fabric has a delicate floral pattern. It features a floral carved crest rail and scroll armrest fronts. Carved walnut and a nice floral needlepoint material. Settee and chairs still has the original springs in the seat area and all pieces have the burlap strapping. Settee measures 35 1/2" tall. 61" wide, 28" deep and 17" from the floor to the seat. Chairs measure 36 1/4" tall, 18" wide, 17" deep and 18" from the floor ... moreto the seat. A nice clean set that is solid and strong and can be used daily. As with all antique and used furniture expect to find light scratches and rubs from age and use and some wear on the needlepoint material. A NICE 5 PIECE SET. 3 Piece Antique Victorian Settee Set Piano Bench Gout Stool Pink Upholstery
Three piece living room set featuring a settee. Rotating piano bench and two-tier gout stool, all carved from beautiful dark woods and upholstered in matching pink fabric with a fan-like design. The settee features and elaborate carved back crowned with a scallop shell design. The arms and legs have sinuous curved shapes. This piece is in good to very good condition with minor wear to the wood. But no significant breaks or visible repairs. The upholstery on the seat has faded somewhat, especially on the left side and has some water spots as well. The settee stands 39" tall and measures 36 1/4" wide and about 22" deep. The piano stool was manufactured by Merriam& Co of South Acton. MA. The stool has been carved with knobs and scroll-like designs reminiscent of Eastlake style. This piece is in good to very good condition ... morewith some minor wear and one missing decorative piece on the side. Please see pictures. The bench stands 21" tall and measures 14" X 18" The two-tier gout stool has a upholstered pieces stretched between two uprights carved in a clover-like shape with curved legs. For sale is a beautiful matching Eastlake Victorian 3-piece set of antique chairs that have been in my family in the Lexington. SC area for several generations. It has been in the formal living room of our home for the last 12 years in a smoke-free household. I have not attempted to clean or polish any of the pieces and hope that the great condition will show through in the pictures provided. I am more than happy to take additional pictures upon request.
