The chair shown is offered elsewhere in our collection Item# 110105PII25 This is a remarkably preserved English Chippendale Period Kneehole Desk. Circa 1740-50. It is crafted of well figured solid single boards of Mahogany on the top and sides- there is no veneer on this desk, just solid boards of full grain mahogany. A simply molded edge runs the perimeter of the top, each corner scalloped. Each drawer is hand dovetailed front and back, with thin oak frame construction and thin oak drawer bottoms- all drawers are fully original and lack any adjustments and restorations to the secondary construction. Glowing hand forged brass hardware adorns each drawer. Appearing to have never been removed from the piece. Inside each drawer, as well as the tiny door in the kneehole area, silver metal locks are secured and functional. Each lock appears to be original, each uniquely cut on the right hand corner for all small drawers- it would appear the craftsman was presented with the challenge of making the lock of his choice fit the small space in conjunction with the pull hardware, and overcame this but cutting the corners of each lock. Hand made screws are visible throughout the lock hardware. While we cannot say for certain if the key is original, it is of the period, hand made and very similar in metal color to that of the locks. Each drawer is lip-molded and slides flawlessly in and out of the desk. Just below the top drawer is a secret drawer compartment. Appearing to be part of the frame design, but actually pulls outward smoothly as an extra hand dovetailed drawer. This is a unique addition for the craftsman to make, as many of these knee hole desks are without such innovations. The wide top drawer pulls out to reveal a full dust shelf. This very unusual item is a custom-made tiger sawn oak extremely rare five-drawer. Double hatbox lock-side dresser that probably dates from ... morethe 1890s. It came out of the home of a dear friend of mine who died about 15 years ago. And who had a great collection in his home. He bought this chest a long time ago, and would never sell it. This piece will remind you of a Harvard dental cabinet, the way it’s made on the side panels. I could spend probably 30 minutes describing it, but the pictures will do it more justice. When you open the two serpentine paneled beaded molding doors on top, it reveals a shelved compartment, and below that are five serpentine front drawers with beautiful heavy cast-brass hardware that is all intact. You’ll notice there are no keyholes on any of the drawers. This is because when the doors are opened, there is a hidden panel on which you push a lever and it locks all the drawers. They are unlocked the same way. The chest has many fine details, including a wonderful detailed backsplash that could probably be sold by itself for $300. It has seven raised panels on each side, a French braided spade foot, clamshell carving on the base, cutout fretwork on the skirt, a beaded molded edge with a few pieces of beading missing, and is in overall really excellent original condition

Antique Five Drawer Bow Front Chest of Drawers
This five drawer bow front chest of drawers measures 47 1/2" high. 33 1/2" wide, and 17" deep. I estimate the date of manufacture somewhere between 1890 and 1910. The pulls and key guards appear to be original but I cannot verify that for certain. The original brass drawer locks are still in place, but unfortunately we have no key. The front legs have an appliqué that is damaged on the right leg, but we have the pieces that fit. You will also notice that someone cared so much for this piece that the veneer on the top of the chest has been repaired. This is a delicate piece of furniture of light construction. The drawers appear to be made of birch and stained and shellacked. Also, there is some minor rippling of the veneer on the top of the chest, but I consider it minor but flaw enough to mention.

I've been told that this piece dates to the 1820s and is in exceptional condition, despite two small spots of missing veneer and one damaged drawer knob. I'm told that everything on it is hand made and stunning. Restored, it would be much more valuable.

Early 19th Century Large Chest of Drawers. Pine, Pre-Civil War, Dove Tailed. Perhaps the largest chest of drawers that I have ever seen. An amazing piece. This looks as if it would have fit well in a castle- but seriously is a very large and unusual piece. Circa around 1840, pre-civil war, is made of pine with a dark reddish-colored stain. Measures 58.5 inches wide, 25 inches deep and 64.5 inches tall. Has huge drawers for lots of great storage, each drawer is about 10 inches tall. Looks to be all hand carved, dove tailed, awesome pulls. Not sure if hardware is original but the hardware is some seriously nice hardware. Please see photos for description. A very handsome antique Federal. Circa 1810, bow front mahogany chest of drawers. The front posts are carved as twist rope and reeded spool, the feet as cylinders. The drawer fronts are uniform flame mahogany veneer. The top is of two solid boards, the posts solid, the sides of veneer. It measures 40" tall by 41" wide by 18" deep at center. Very good plus condition: original finish, a few minor old veneer patches on skirt and some larger on lower sides. Old brasses and knobs are old replacements to originals. Top boards without wear, cracks or spots.

A very nice antique. Circa 1830's, Empire Period solid mahogany chest of drawers, with the drawer fronts in flame mahogany veneers. The columns are veneer wrapped around, with carved capitols. Case is on four ball feet. The drawers and secondary wood is pine. The top is of three mahogany boards. The sides have recessed panels. Chest measures 53" tall by 50" wide by 24" deep. Very good plus condition: original unworn finish, flame veneers very fine. The lock to the top center drawer is missing, four other drawer locks present. The Chippendale style brass escutcheons are old replacements for the Empire style originals. Minor chip to edge molding around the top boards. Back boards with shrinkage cracks masking taped over.

This is an incredible walnut 11 drawer gentlemen's chest or highboy circa 1880. I think the chest is European but I can't decide. The chest is quite tall at 63" 43 1/2" wide, and 20 3/4" deep. All hardware is original and outstanding. The finish has a wonderful aged patina. The chest needs 7 drawer stops and a small piece of trim attached. Large Empire Style Antique Chest of Drawers Cut Glass Knobs c1870 Solid Cherry
This beautiful Empire style chest of drawers came to me from the estate of a collector. We believe it to be constructed of solid cherry and is dates to the 1870s. It features one deep drawer on the top and three standard drawers below. The front of this piece is carved with turned pieces on either side. The cut glass knobs are original and in very nice shape(no major cracks or other issues) We will remove these knobs and wrap them separately prior to shipping. Rare American Chippendale Antique Chest of Drawers, Southern States c. 1780-1800

SOUTHERN STATES Over Pierced Bracket Feet. Possibly Virginia, c. 1780-1800 Item# 1402LNP15PC A rare and certainly unusual chest. This fine American Chippendale Chest of Drawers is distinct in it's overwhelming simplicity of construction and appeal and set apart by it's highly interesting pierced bracket feet. We have not yet identified a chest exhibiting the same form in the feet, but two pieces of seating furniture from Williamsburg, Virginia- both pieces attributed to Peter Scott- have nearly identical pierced embellishments to the splats. These are visible below or by clicking on"Literature" The feet are complex, the outer edges an ogival form interrupted by ... morea series of fillets; the last stretch of the foot is cyma in form, outlining an almost perfect inverted"S" before touching the ground. The interior piercing sets against this in a way that lends visual support to the arch of the foot. The top and sides of the case are each crafted of two solid walnut boards. The top edged by a thin projecting molding. The four graduated drawers retain lips carved of the solid, each with a single deeply chamfered poplar board set into grooves and nailed along the back edge with square iron nails; the brasses are replacements, though appropriate to the case. The interior displays an affinity for British tradition in craftsmanship, each drawer being divided out with a full dust board(also poplar) to protect the contents of the drawer below from dirt and dust as the drawer above is opened and closed. While it is not unusual to find dust boards in American case pieces, it is not typical and generally reflects an English taste among the patrons for the craftsman, as it is certainly a more time consuming and costly consideration for the craftsman. This is a rather uncommon piece of late Victorian furniture. A carved Walnut lock side lingerie chest. Locksides(sometimes called Sidelocks) were. Although uncommon by themselves, were generally executed as larger chests of drawers, more typically a dresser or chest. This piece is a lingerie chest with a beveled mirror(excellent condition) top with heavily carved crest and framework with pierced carved supports. Rather an overall organic motif with an Eastlake influence. Base has 4 deep drawers with a hinged locking panel(no key) along the right side. Great little child's primitive chest of drawers or vanity. Looks to be all original and has wheels at the base. There is writing on the back of chest and one of the words I can make out is'Buffalo. 3 wide drawers and 2 short ones at the top. There is a mirror which has primitive carving around it. Pulls look to be original. Could be used for a large doll. Condition: The bottom drawer does not open-it feels sealed shut. I tried opening it by taking out the drawer out above it and pushing from behind(because I didn't want to brake pulls) But it would not budge. Incredible Antique German Chest w/Butler Sec. Late 1700's, Walnut and Chestnut
Incredible Late 1700's German Hand Carved Chest of Drawers with Butler's Secretary. Amazing carving. Made from walnut and chestnut wood. I purchased from a Birmingham, AL estate; those folks were career military, were stationed in Italy; they purchased the pieces there from an antique shop; brought them back tot he states when they returned. Piece is topped with a beautiful original piece of Italian Carrera marble. Marble has no dings or chips. This one of three pieces in the set. Measures 36 1/2 x 18 1/4 x 62. One of the other pieces in a perfect match just has two additional drawers instead of secretary desk door. If you want a pair, they are perfect together. Antique solid cherry hand crafted chest of drawers chest on chest circa 1850
Up for auction is a beautiful solid cherry chest on chest circa 1850. This beautiful chest is very structurally sound with no defects in the structure. All of the drawers Ron good. It has locks in every drawer with a key as well. There are obvious signs of use especially on the top there are some rings nicks and scratches. But it is in great shape considering it is approximately 165 years old. This measures approximately 53 inches tall by approximately 41 inches wide by approximately 20 inches deep. This great estate find came from Ohio. The gentleman I purchased it from said that it belonged to his grandmother. There is no information before she owned it. This is a great style and a great antique piece. It is located in Myrtle beach South Carolina for local pickup only, however I would be willing to meet with in a 50 mile radius for delivery.

This is a Fantastic Period Victorian Salesman Sample/ Child's Chest of drawers. It is a beauty! It is in solid walnut wood. It was a wonderful patina. Great carvings on all drawers. It is a great storage for any treasures. It is in excellent condition. One side of two drawers have been professionally restored to provide a smooth back and forth motion. It is one of the nicest. Small Chest or Child's Dresser W/ AMAZING Victorian Decoupage Folk Art Die Cut
Offered here is an amazing. One-of-a-kind small chest of drawers or child's dresser that has been covered with Victorian decoupage of various die cut printed pieces of advertising, greeting cards, etc. I have seen a lot of antiques, and looked on the internet for similar pieces, but I can't find anything comparable to this. This is a great handmade folk art piece that would be the highlight of any room. Despite it's petite size. A great decorator piece to put on top of another chest or table, use as a side table or night stand, put at the end of a hall, etc. Yes. This is covered with hundreds, if not thousands, of small colorful pieces of paper. I've tried to show this in the photos, particularly in the one of the top with the glancing light, and on another the edges of the drawer. Chest measures 22 1/2" wide. 21 3/4" ... moretall, and 12 1/2" deep overall. The basic case is about 21" x 21" x 12" with the top extending on the sides and front, and the small scalloped backsplash adding a bit to the depth. The chest is constructed out of pine. Including the drawer bottoms, and has nicely paneled sides. There is lovely, period paper lining the drawers. The back of the dresser was covered by some previous owner with a piece of masonite and is a newer addition. Please see all the photos.
