There are a few small“freckles” on the mirror from age. The vanity dresser has 3 dovetail serpentine style drawers with metal pulls. There is scrolling trim work on the front of the dresser. The legs are on casters. I do not know the maker or exact date it was made. This piece is antique and will not be perfect. The dresser measures 27 1/2 inches tall, 41 1/16 inches side to side and 20¾ inches front to back. It weighs 62 pounds. Circa 1840, which has been constructed ... morefrom early 17th Century timbers. The Jacobean period stretched from 1603 to 1625 during the James 1st reign. The earlier timbers we refer to are specifically, the carcass, including the top and drawer fronts. The dresser boasts great craftsmanship including a very good quality one-piece moulded top. The front of the dresser features classing geometric mouldings to he drawer fronts along with inset side panels. The two large working drawers, which are hand dovetailed and pine lined, feature the Victorian brass drawer knobs. The dresser stands on the barley twist shaped legs with connecting stretchers to the back legs for added strength. The backboards, inset side panels and drawer linings are constructed of solid pine. This item features a mid-brown oak colour. It has a fantastic colour and patination; this can only be achieved through age and years of care and cleaning it has received. This item would look superb in a variety of rooms from the dining room. Living room or the hallway.
