IMPORTANT PENNSYLVANIA WALNUT BOOKEND INLAID 18TH CENTURY PEMBROKE TABLE WITH EXCELLENT PROVENANCE Bay Colony Antiques takes the utmost pleasure in offering ... moreyou this superior 18th Century completely correct Pennsylvania walnut Pembroke with string and bookend inlays. Front drawer, faux rear drawer facing in original finish and first surface. This is a notated piece from a highly respected colleagues' personal collection. Pa. inlaid period Pembroke tables are exceedingly rare. This gentlemen was a Prince of our industry and we will all miss him dearly. The proceeds of the sale of his estate was all donated to various charities. Various museums were bequeathed over 100 of his tall case clock collection. We have some amazing pieces from his estate. Some we will keep to remind us of him and other's, like here, will be offered on this sales platform. Everything is original on this Pembroke table right down to the brasses. The original finish has some blemishes on it but we make no apology or excuses for it. We could clean the surface and rub this out but that would be entirely your decision. Ours is not to touch it. We will provide provenance on this piece to its next owner. We will not to some mildly interested party. We have this authority in the case of this estate but we are not advertising his name like a K-Mart special. This man was a refined, kind and generous man who would want his collection shared with the world. He was eager to share his knowledge with any level of collector and despite his great wealth and accomplishments in life he treated everyone with dignity. This table is 33" long, 23 1/4" wide(46 3/4" with its leaves locked up) and stands 28" tall. RARE ANTIQUE SALESMAN'S SAMPLE 18TH CENTURY STYLE CHEST OF DRAWERS MINIATURE
This is a beautiful and quite rare antique miniature chest of drawers. It appears to be a furniture salesman's sample. The style appears to be an 18th century style. This piece is quite old and appears to be at least early 19th century and possibly earlier. Many of the drawers appear to be made from pieces of wooden antique cigar boxes. The chest of drawers measures 14" tall x 9 3/4" wide at widest point x 6" deep not including the handles. It has wear from use but overall has a great antique style and looks amazing. EARLY 18TH CENTURY MAHOGANY CAMPAIGN DRESSING TABLE-VERY RARE & UNIQUE PIECE!
EXTREMELY RARE AMERICAN LATE 18TH CENTURY CAMPAIGN DRESSING TABLE IN MAHOGANY With our special pleasure Bay Colony Antiques is delighted to offer you this excellent very scarce late 18th Century(circa 1790-1800) American Mahogany Federal period Campaign dressing table-vanity/shaving desk table with fully finished interior. For these to be American is first most notable. These were almost always English or French. This comes to us from a remarkable Vermont estate and was purchased at Christies in the 1980's along with most of the furniture collection. This is a portable vanity or shaving table for dressing. The table is designed with a big robust box that has a lift top released by a brass button& lock. Its interior has covered cavities for a wash basin. Brushes, shaving mug and various other compartments all suited for dressing needs. ... moreIt contains a lift top mirror with storage boxes. It has an interesting back cavity designed for holding the legs. We found these legs to on extremely tight so we are not going to attempt to force them off. These have screwed on threads and forcing anything 250 years old made of wood is not a bright idea. This is a wonderful extremely rare gem of American period furniture that measures 30 1/2" long, 21" wide, 34 1/2" with its drop leaves locked open and stands 30" tall.
