It has dainty brass handle hardware which I am not sure are original. The keyhole escutcheon are the big round medallions. The candle shelves have heavy incise carved burl front shelf supports, burl walnut trim going up the mirror and the big crest on top with a doorbell looking medallion on the top. The mirror is bevel glass, which is normally straight glass. The drawers are all hand cut dove tail. The overall size is 48 inches wide, 21 inches deep and 90 inches high overall.

This fine desk measures 45 1/2 inches in height to the top of the gallery at the back.Height to the top at the front measures 46 inches, with a total width of 48 inches, total depth of 26 inches and this desk weighs approximately 200 lbs. The pull out writing surface measures 41 inches wide by 21 inches deep and height from the floor to the top of the writing surface measures 30 inches. The knee hole height of the desk portion measures 25 1/4 inches and knee-hole width measures 18 3/4 inches. The cylinder portion of this desk raises and lowers very smoothly and has a large brass lock mechanism on the bottom which is marked: Indianapolis Cab. Co Pat. The lock is intact but we do not have the key. The inner desk portion is beautiful maple with a multitude of various sizes of storage drawers and cubbies.The old green felt on the pull out writing surface appears original and does show some wear and some spots. The left offers a stack of four storage drawers with period dove-tailed ends and the original pulls. To the right another drawer is found with a storage cabinet below. The lock is missing from the cabinet door. As you can see in the pictures this desk could easily be in the center of a room for it is as lovely on the back as the front and is finished beautifully all the way around. We have been buying some really nice items on the Cape lately, just like this piece. This particular piece has a breakfront where the marble steps out in the middle, carved pillars coming down through the center door, outside doors and right across the top is all burl walnut with dainty inlaid trim. The two doors open on the base to expose a shelf interior. The center is the mirror panel with the pillars and is not a door. You have a double door front and a center with carved pillars. The looking glass is scratched and worn, which adds charm and character. The inlaid appears to be in nice shape.

I am not sure if it has ... morebeen refinished or not as it appears to be in original condition, but it is great for the age. It has four dove tail drawer going down the left-hand side and four going down the right-hand side. The center drawer has round dove tail as expected from the Eastlake era. It has burl walnut trim on the fronts with an ogee bevel edge around the routed top. It has a black felt interior on the writing surface that is nice. The finish on the sides is amazing. It has panel sides, rope twisted molding, detail cast brass hardware, escutcheons are intact. There are no keys or locks. The desk is 48 inches wide, 27 inches deep and 30 inches tall. This fine 19th century Victorian dresser offers beautiful raised panels of burl walnut on the mirror portion as well as on the drawer fronts. And the top of the mirror has a wonderful fancy carved high crest with carved fruit below at the center, flanked with raised panels of burl walnut and intricate carved rosettes accenting the top portion of the mirror. We believe this dresser to have its old original finish and the original casters on all four feet. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 90 inches. The dresser width measures 42 1/2 inches, dresser depth measures ... more19 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble sides measures 32 1/2 inches,height from the floor to the marble at the center measures 25 1/2 inches and this piece weighs approximately 155 lbs. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the old wavy mirror to be original and it measures 35 1/2 inches high by 17 inches wide and is in fine antique condition with only some silver dusting that's age appropriate. The lovely brown beveled edge marble on the base is also original and is in wonderful antique condition. However the center marble(right side towards the back of the dresser) does show an old repair which I have shown a close-up shot of, repair appears tight and secure and very well done and not very noticeable at all unless close inspection. For your consideration, this beautiful Burl Walnut Victorian Lock-side Chest of Drawers with Fold-Out Desk(Circa: 1880) This handsome Victorian Lock-side Chest has its original intact lock and a working key and measures 57” in height, 36 ¾” in width, and 20” in depth. The weight is approximately 120 pounds. The top of this handsome chest is graced with scalloped mounding. And incised carved linear designs with burl sconces on the top corners. The front sides of this lovely chest are adorned with incised carved burl sconces on the top corners that extend into fluted detailing and incised carved pediments. The original locking mechanism is intact on this gorgeous chest and a working key is included. Notice the fancy brass key escutcheons. This beautiful chest appears to have six drawers, but the third drawer ... moredown opens to reveal a fold-out desk compartment which consists of five pigeon-holes, a new black felt writing surface, birds-eye maple surface, along with beautiful pierced side galleries with sunflower carved details. The height from the floor to the bottom of this wonderful fold-out writing surface is 30 ¼” Ample storage opportunity is found in the remaining five drawers. VICTORIAN Burl Walnut Wishbone Mirror DRESSER& Gentleman's CHEST This elegant Victorian drop front Wishbone Mirror dresser chest and matching Ladies' or Gentleman's chest is constructed of walnut with burl accents. The style is consistent with the period of"Renaissance Revival. Ca. 1860. They both have the original finish, wooden casters and working antique keys. These pieces feature Renaissance Revival/ Rococo elements including serpentine ribbed"carpenter's lace" on the edges and around the dresser's tilt mirror. They have applied hand carved drawer pulls. Escutcheons and other decorative elements in a leaf and flower design. The corners and edges are rounded. And the casings around the drawers and most edges are curved and double or triple ribbed. The dresser has a wishbone tilt mirror on pedestal ... morebase. Handkerchief drawers and three large drawers. There are turned finials on the mirror posts and spindles on the sides of the handkerchief drawers. The three large drawers lock. The chest has an upper cabinet with shelf. Probably for hats or bonnets, one small drawer possibly for gloves and another larger drawer at the bottom. The top part of the cabinet features cathedral shaped burled panel doors that close with a hook on the inside and a lock. The drawers do not lock. Measurements: Dresser- 42" W x 20" D x 42" to top of small drawers x 77" H Chest- 34" W x 16" D x 44" H The overall condition is very good considering the age. One spindle on the dresser's outer left handkerchief drawer has a missing part of about 1/2 inch. There are minor cracks on the sides. I'm selling a beautiful burl walnut( Victorian Eastlake tall gentleman's step-down dresser. Look at that pattern! Original hardware. Including real wooden double( castors.have never seen those before. Deep drawers on the bottom and 2 small shallow ... moredrawers on the top. Condition is sturdy and good for its age(ca. late 1800's) But there are a few chips missing- see pictures. The scalloped mirror is in good condition and has hanging hardware. The knobs on the side are where it used to swivel on. Dimensions are: 40" wide by 19 3/4" deep. The height of the dresser itself is 40 1/2" and the little drawers on top add another 4 1/4" in height. Outside dimensions of the mirror(scalloped shape) care ca. 20" wide by 30" tall. Please see all the pictures and use them as part of the description. Gently used Victorian-period furniture. Having burled walnut panel dove-tailed drawers with glass drawer pulls, and three original marble slab tops. Circa 1885-1890's. Two small square drawers at the top. And two large, long drawers below. The piece is on the original four casters(wheels) No mirror- not sure if it ever had one. You can use this as a dresser. Vanity table, or convert it to a bathroom sink/vanity/counter. If you were to do a sink, you'd need to take the drawer bottoms off and somehow keep the drawer fronts on. Also great for storing old linens, clothes, and textiles. CONDITION: Excellent condition ... morewith a few minor scrapes. Scuffs, or scratches on either/both the wood and/or marble- nothing major. As to be expected, it could use a light cleaning and a good polishing before use, if not just to show it some love. Drawers slide as they should. All four casters present, although one keeps popping out of its hole if you lift it too high off the ground. Glass knobs may or may not be the original hardware. No key, but if you try a few sizes of skeleton/cabinet keys, you're sure to find one that will work the locks. Marble tops have no chips or cracks. No musty odors. From a smoke free home/environment. This is a beautiful old Victorian style dresser. It has a marble top that is cracked but I have used it this way. It just seems to add character. We are very pleased. To present, for your consideration, this gorgeous Fancy Tall Burl Walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival Marble Top Drop Front Dresser(Circa: 1870) This beautiful dresser weighs approximately 140 pounds and measures 90 ½” in total height from the floor to the center top of the crown, 20” in height from the floor to the middle marble top section of the dresser, 31 ½” in height from the floor to the side marble tops, 20” in depth, and 49 ¾” in total width. The center top of the mirror is graced with a beautiful scrolled foliate crown with carved grape cluster center. This beautiful crown is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the gorgeous mirrored top which is adorned with elegant moulding. Many raised burled panels, rosette roundels, fancy leaf carved shoulders, four candle-stands(unusual as most Victorian ... moredressers only have two) and elegant pierced carved grape and leaf carved ornamentations on the sides. The entire mirrored top is removable for shipping purposes and sits on the very ornate white marble top base. The beautiful and removable white marble tops are beveled and in excellent condition for their age. From a functional standpoint. This gorgeous ornate Dresser base has a total of seven drawers(six visible& one hidden drawer on the bottom) all of which are dovetailed and six which are adorned with absolutely gorgeous burled walnut raised panels with intact locks and very fancy rosette and leaf carved drawer pulls. Very nice. Unusual Victorian burl walnut lockside dresser with butlers desk. I haven't seen one with a desk in it like this one before. If there was an insert to the desk, it is long gone. It appears to have had some type of galley rail on it at one time. It has a small stain on the top and the key is missing(shouldn't be too hard to find one that fits it) Absolutely gorgeous.
