Period brass tear drop pulls and pin& cove(knapp joint) ends on the drawers. All the drawers have their locks intact but no key. The front of the chest has beautiful incised carvings on the drawers and wood escutcheons. This chest is good quality, solid, sturdy and would make a great addition to any Victorian Decor. Nut missing for finial on left top drawer pull. The Eastlake furniture style as envisioned by its namesake, Charles Lock Eastlake, came about in response to his dislike of the over-the-top Rococo and Renaissance Revival styles popular during the Victorian era. It has been repaired at some point and I don't believe the front legs are original to the piece which made somewhat hard to put an exact date on. The most of the interior wood surfaces seem to rough as if the it was hand planed. All the joinings on the back are chisel pegged(see photos) The dovetailing looks to be hand done but I could be mistaken(see photos) I would estimate this piece is from early 1800s. I have many more photos of this piece archived if you would like see any more detailing. This piece would be wonderful in a bedroom or in a entryway statement piece. This piece is really something to see! Salesman Sample Vanity Dresser with 3 Drawers I am unsure of the origin/maker; it is marked with a"KL" or"V" I can't quite tell) with the number 45 underneath. It appears to be skillfully crafted by hand. I am unaware if the red paint was original or added at a later date. The entire sample is constructed out of wood. Even the small knobs, and the mirror has signs of aging from it's time period. The style almost looks oriental. But either way it is very beautiful! Fabulous early 19th century antique American cherry and tiger maple dresser with original Sandwich glass knobs. Dresser measures 39 1/2" across. 19 1/2" deep, and 45" tall. Drawers are constructed with fine dovetails. They all retain their original locks, but I don't have the key. There is writing inside the top of the dresser which I believe details the origin of the dresser. I can make out something that looks like"day before Christmas" and numbers, but I can't read most of it. A photo of the writing is shown in the next to the last photo above. I have Primitive Pine Small Dresser with very fine and thin dovetail construction of the drawers. The styling of the drawers is classic for such early American Antiques such as this. I bought this piece over 30 years ago from an antique dealer who dated it from the late 1800’s. Dresser is in good condition with desirable weathering. With knotty pine. It measures approx. 32 ½"h x 33”w x 16"deep and stands nicely on bun feet. It does have some staining on the top There are brass lock and keyholes on all the drawers. One drawer is missing the brass lock and one drawer is missing brass keyhole. Please see photos) The key is not included but all of the drawers are currently unlocked and slide smoothly. Antique Empire Dresser, mahogany, mirror veneer, 19th century, good condition
An Empire Bureau. Or chest of drawers made of mahogany in the early half of the 19th century. This is a grand piece of furniture that would look great in any large space-hallway, large master bedroom, dining room. We had it in our hallway in a 1803 house in upstate New York. There are four large drawers and three small drawers at the top. The largest drawer is directly below the three small top drawers, consistent with the style. Drawer fronts are a mirror veneer, rest of the wood is solid. The drawer pulls are brass. This is a solid, well-built dresser. It is heavy. It stands about 52 inches high, is about 47 inches wide and about 21 inches deep. The drawers are about 16 inches deep. The finish is in relatively good condition; there are scrapes, scuffs, nicks and scratches but it would not necessarily need to be refinished. There is a crack ... morein the wood on one of the sides(visible in photo) The drawer slides could use some repair work, but the drawers function. I believe that the dresser is from the early half of the 19th century because the nails used on the back boards are type I cut(photographed) The back boards are soft wood with a rich brown patina on the back, the part exposed to air. Beautiful antique chest of drawers in mahogany with a gentle sweep of a bow front. All original. Including its finish, as I hope you see in my close-ups. It features four nice deep drawers, perfect for storage, and has the dust panels between each level. The top pair drawers' inside measurements are 15 1/2" across by 5 1/2" tall, and are 15" to 17" deep, given the curvature of the front. The middle drawer's inside measurements are 32 1/4" across by 7" tall and 14 1/4" to 16 1/4" deep. The bottom drawer's inside measurements are the same as the middle except it is a little deeper at 7 1/2" tall. Overall. 19th Century English Victorian Antique Wooden Mirrored Vanity / Washstand /Desk
This beautiful Victorian vanity was designed with many details that capture your eyes. The overall condition is great considering its age- most probably Victorian 1800s(the piece's age is our opinion based on comparisons we've done on the internet) The pictures show the minor chip and the place where a missing dowel bar might have been(it can easily be replaced) The wood is beautiful and the piece's craftsmanship is excellent. It was well taken care of. The piece has three original mirrors- the dominant large center mirror that tilts. And the smaller mirrors on each side which are underneath the small upper drawers. The piece has enough age to truly be somewhat tricky to gauge, particularly as the craftsman used hand tools for every aspect of the piece and employed period hardware and nails. Probably crafted at some point in the second half of the nineteenth century, the proportions and sense of form are very fine. Antique 19th Century Child's Children's or Large Doll Chest of Drawers w/ Mirror
Great little child's primitive chest of drawers or vanity. Looks to be all original and has wheels at the base. There is writing on the back of chest and one of the words I can make out is'Buffalo. 3 wide drawers and 2 short ones at the top. There is a mirror which has primitive carving around it. Pulls look to be original. Could be used for a large doll. Condition: The bottom drawer does not open-it feels sealed shut. I tried opening it by taking out the drawer out above it and pushing from behind(because I didn't want to brake pulls) But it would not budge. Mirror is original to piece and has darkened over the years. There are splits in the bottom of inside of 2 drawers. With it's flaws. It is still a wonderful little piece. Antique Dutch Marquetry three panel barley twist shaving mirror 19th
This three panel shaving mirror has outside panels that are removeable. The drawers are inlaid in the marquetry style with exotic woods. The central portion of the mirror is 26 ¾ inches wide. When the side panels are included it is 47 ¼ inches wide. The central mirror including the base is 37 ¾ inches high. The edges of all of the mirrors are beveled. The posts where the outside mirrors attach are barley twist. The storage portion at the bottom with the drawers is serpentine in shape. The drawers are dovetailed. The piece is in very good condition. It dates circa 1870. There are a couple of splits in the wood on the back of the large mirror.

It is an antique chest. The chest has mahogany veneer. The drawer sides and bottom are made of oak. The drawers have square nails and the underside of the drawers are hand chamfered. The interior of the pulls have carved mother of pearl. It is 48 1/2" tall x 21" deep x 49" wide. The chest is in fair used condition. The drawers open and close fairly smooth. The veneer has some warping. Chips and old repairs. The top is loose and has some dings, staining and remnants of tape. Overall, it presents well. A true antique. Antique English bow front regency chest of drawers with matched cross cut mahogany front. Pencil molding with turned mahogany pulls centered with etched mother of pearl inlay. The two over three dovetailed drawers rests on turned legs and a scalloped skirt. Dimensions are 47" in width, 20 1/4" in depth and 45" tall. This piece has a beautiful wood grain. Deep patina and original finish. The chest has appropriate signs of wear, some pencil molding is missing on the side of two of the drawers, some chipped veneer, and one of the pulls is missing the lower part of its turning. The bottom drawer does have some cracking in the veneer but has been sealed when it was refinished. Also the bottom drawer has a small veneer chip and 2 places were the veneer has been patched with walnut veneer patches which just adds character to the chest. Antique Child's 19th C. Primitive Mahogany Chest of Drawers-Folk Art- AAFA
Read all of this and look at all the photos. This little mahogany childs chest of drawers came out of a Boulder estate last week. All original. Nothing altered little chest is 10 1/16" back to front and 13 1/8" side to side, and 13 1/2" high, with the back splash 2 1/2" The alligator finish is irregular and has a water stain on the top. I didn't want to mess with it. This little gem looks like 1850 period and east coast origin. We do see things in Boulder from early Pennsylvania. Certainly no later than 1870. It has many hand cut small nails that have bled into the wood. The four drawers have been painted pink inside at a later period and measure app. 8 x 11 x 2 1/2. The lower left front rail is partially missing and the right back rail is missing. There is an old crack on the top. They really do not distract from ... morethe piece. The sides are slightly curved. The secondary wood is pine. Again. This is a wonderful little chest in unrestored condition that was likely made on a farm on the east coast 150 years ago. Antique 1800s Dresser 19th Century Chest of Drawers Walnut Wood FREE SHIPPING
19th Century Chest of Drawers This is a fantastic piece of historical furniture. This is a chest of drawers or dresser from the early to mid 1800's. It appears to be constructed primarily of walnut wood. There are several distinguishing features that influence our opinion as to the date of this piece: The dresser was constructed with square-head nails. Which were used from the late 1700's to the late 1800's. It is constructed of solid-wood boards measuring up to 16" in width. Which could only have been made from very large trees long ago. The dovetails used to construct the front and back of the drawers are all hand-cut. The smallest drawer has 3 tails and 4 pins. And the larger drawers have up to 5 tails and 6 pins. The drawer bottoms are chamfered, meaning the front and side edges and the drawer bottoms are finished at ... morea slop. While the inside top of the drawer is flat. This was cut and finished by hand-held tools, which is an indication that it is pre-1840. All of the saw cuts in the wood appear to be parallel rather than circular. This indicates the use of mill saws during construction. The wood also appears to be hand-planed. The dresser features turned-wood pulls. Which we believe to be original. It also has paneled sides, which was a feature in many early Philidelphia chests of drawers. This piece is in good. Antique condition overall with some general signs of age and use. There is a significant crack in the drawer second from the top. It is still structurally sound. All of the drawers have locks, but we do not have the matching key. This piece has cracks, wear, chips, discoloration and repairs that are consistant with a piece of this age. The"flaws" only contribute to the primateive nature of this chest of drawers. They quietly tell the stories of its life. The dresser measures 45 7/8" tall by 42 5/8" wide by 20" deep. The drawer faces are all 36" wide. The height of the drawer faces from top to bottom are: 1st- 9 3/4" 2nd- 5 3/4" 3rd- 6 3/4"

Here is a really nice early 19th century chest of drawers. This item is overall in good shape and I'm not sure but looks like original finish. Missing one of the drawer pulls and top of dresser has a split between the seam of wood. Right side of dresser has same type of split between two boards. Dresser exhibits old scratches and mars associated with antique furniture. Finish on the dressers top also has some issues with staining. Wear and discoloration. It stands on high straight ball bottom legs, and ending in acanthus leaf carving at the top. Main body is rectangular, a large curved glass door, kind they don't make anymore, and two window sides. Door has its original lock and key. There is one glass shelf, and below is fabric covered shelf of the same size. The curio has a mirrored back, adding charm to pieces on display. Here is a very nice antique Sheraton dressing mirror. It is marked on inside bottom of drawer. I can make out: FROM CW BOTELER STORE 7th Street WASHINGTON D.C. I haven't been able to make out the words above STORE. It is in very good antique condition. Looks to me to be all original except it has been refinished at some point in time. Nice inlay banding around the mirror and around the front of case. This measures 14-1/8" long by 6-1/2" deep by 16-1/4" high to very top. Mirror part measures 12" x 9-3/4. Feel free to ask any questions. I can ship it standard mail if buyer prefers that over priority mail for probably a lesser cost. But not guaranteed.
