HUGE Eastlake Mission Style Dressing Mirror ~ Wall- Foyer- Fireplace Mantel- Bathroom ~ Price Reduced from $295 In this listing we are offering for sale this splendid Victorian Eastlake Carved Walnut Wall/ Dresser Mirror circa 1880’s. The carved details on this mirror are geometric in design reflecting more of a adobe southwest style motif. The mirror measures a total height to the top of the crest of 49-1/2” inches tall by 36” inches wide. And weighs between 20-25 lbs. The mirrored inside dimensions are approximately: 29” inches tall by 17” inches wide This would make a wonderful statement in a foyer. Bedroom or great room over a fireplace mantel in a southwest décor style, log cabin or Victorian themed home. There have been restoration modifications to the mirror as follows: There was no original mirror when I purchased it. Just the ... moreframe and it’s been replaced by a modern glass mirror. There was only one unattached shelf bracket, but someone can have a wood craftsman duplicate another one to match booth sides if they so choose. The mirrored frame piece(I believe) was originally made to swivel for a large dresser, but solid brackets are now attached to the back to make this piece stationary since there was also no original hardware that came with it. The wood was faded from years of neglect in a bright storeroom as seen by the bracket shelf, but the mirror frame has been refinished with a clear natural stain to bring out the original color of the walnut wood. The photos show more of a reddish tint to the color, but it’s really a warm medium brown tone. It was very difficult to photograph in my office. Overall wood condition is very good, no splits, cracks, chunks missing, mold or rot. Although our price is reflective of these modifications. There is still value in owning this beautiful piece of history for generations to come. This dresser has 2 dove-taliled half drawers over 2 full size dovetailed drawers that are made of solid wood in the inside and are working properly. Victorian Eastlake 1885 Antique Oak Dresser or Vessel Sink Vanity. This chest or dresser was crafted about 1885 during the late Victorian or Eastlake period. And would also be an interesting vessel sink vanity. Solid ash and oak. The satiny finish is excellent with warm patina and just enough mars and stains for antique character. Drawers have"pin and cove" round dovetail joints and original hardware on this American made furniture. The original beveled mirror has lots of"smoke" to show its age, if this is not charming, it could be replaced or resilvered if desired. A few joints are loose and needs some glue.Drawer handles are missing and mirror does not stay upright. This lovely dresser measures a total height to the top of the pediment on the mirror of 76 1/2 inches. The dresser width measures 46 inches, dresser depth measures 18 inches, and the height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 39 inches,height from the floor to the lower base top is 20 inches, and this piece weighs approximately 135 lbs. This wonderful Eastlake piece offers a fantastic beveled cheval mirror that pivots front to back. And is encased in a gorgeous carved maple frame with a lovely incised carved pediment at the top. The mirror rests in ... morebetween two upright carved supports with the original fancy brass inserts that secures the mirror into the supports. The mirror portion and the marble does lift off to allow easier transport and moving. We believe the beveled mirror to be original and it measures 47 inches high by 23 inches wide and only has some very light silver dusting that's age appropriate. The finish appears original and does have some age& wear on the top of the base, there is unusual black marble on the right side above the stack of smaller drawers measures 15 1/4 inches wide by 13 inches deep. The base offers three smaller storage drawers on the right over two larger ones each having period brass Eastlake pulls. Period dove-tailed ends and all the locks are intact on the drawers but we do not have they key. The dresser base does have its original casters to aid in easier movement within your home.
